Zhua walked calmly through the crowd, weaving around passersby as he glanced up at the three suns hanging in the sky—one violet, one orange, and one red.
An amused smile appeared on his face as he tried to compare this sky with the fragmented memories he retained of his previous world.
Back there, there had only been one sun and one moon.
Here, there were three suns and three moons.
He often wondered why that was.
Lowering his head, he continued walking while observing the people around him.
Even a few nobles were present, which was rare.
Zhua flashed a charming and innocent smile when he arrived in front of the village’s book seller, Tyuen.
She looked up from what she was reading, studied the young man for a moment, and said calmly,
“She really makes you work hard, my little darling.”
Zhua maintained his smile.
Seriously, why can’t she just give me the book right away?
Tchh.
I’d really like her to hurry up, he thought, though he remained polite.
“You know how it is, Madam Tyuen,” Zhua replied.
“I love helping whenever I can.”
Tyuen chuckled softly before pulling several books out of nowhere while saying a single word:
“Appear.”
It was a vocal command that only Awakened individuals possessed.
It was called the Lightning Inventory.
There was the command “Insert,” which allowed users to place items inside the inventory.
The higher one’s rank, the more objects—and the more varied types of objects—they could store.
Then there was “Appear,” which allowed them to retrieve items from the inventory.
Finally, there was “Status Window,” which displayed descriptions of stored items and their powers if they happened to be artifacts.
When the owner of an inventory died, none of the stored items could be retrieved.
They remained trapped within the inventory forever unless the owner had taken everything out before death.
Zhua handed over the money and said mischievously,
“It’s really unfortunate that your Awakening condition is tied to loving books. That must be pretty annoying, right?”
Tyuen lightly smacked his shoulder and pouted in irritation.
“I don’t care! I love books! I couldn’t care less if I never advance beyond the Awakened Rank!”
Zhua laughed.
“Alright, alright, calm down. It was just a joke. Want to discuss some history?”
Tyuen crossed her arms.
“Then tell me, what’s the current understanding of the Age of Gods?”
Zhua smiled.
“Hmm, let me think.
According to what we know, everything originated from the Twenty Primordial Gods, who died during the Age of Gods.
Legends claim they created everything.
However, near the end of that era, they fought one another, which ironically gave birth to what is now known as the Divine Era—the age when humanity first began walking the path toward divinity.
“Each of the Twenty Primordial Gods supposedly created one of twenty overlapping realms.
During the war, the gateways connecting those realms were destroyed.
The only remaining way to reach them would be through portals hidden in ancient ruins or within the ‘caves’ found on the floors of the Tower.
“Did I get it right, Madam?”
Tyuen sighed.
“You got lucky this time. Honestly, I regret ever trying to turn you into a scholar.”
“Yeah, but I’m a sexy scholar,” Zhua replied with a grin.
Taking his books, he left.
After a few minutes, he arrived at the church and carefully placed the books on a random table.
He then headed toward the classroom.
Seeing people already gathered inside, he let out an annoyed sigh before entering.
Zeuna looked at him and said,
“Finally. You’re here. Let’s begin today’s lesson.”
