Chapter 19: werewolf babies

The Moon Goddess Chose Me as the Luna of Four Alphas

"Are you just going to leave?" Cassian asked as the man turned around and began walking away.

The man stopped in his tracks. He turned around and looked straight at Cassian.

"Young Master Draven," he said with a faint smile, "do you want to challenge us to a fight? Here. Right now?"

Mega grabbed Cassian’s arm, stopping him from acting recklessly.

"Even your former leader knows the limits of her own abilities. You are truly too reckless."

Cassian clenched both of his fists tightly.

"Who is your master?" he asked after a moment. "At least tell us."

The man curled his lips into a mocking smile.

"You are not worthy of knowing yet," he said calmly.

He fell silent for a moment before looking at Cassian again.

"However, it seems you will meet him soon."

After saying that, the man turned around. His figure slowly faded before disappearing into the darkness.

"Auntie..." Cassian called softly.

Mega shook her head.

"Let’s go home. This is not the time to discuss all of that yet."

Cassian nodded and resumed driving toward the territory of the Draven Pack.

Upon arriving at the residence, Cassian carried Liliana into her room. Meanwhile, the white tiger with black stripes that had been following her all this time continued standing in front of the door, refusing to move even a little farther away from Liliana. Even when Cassian tried to pull its tail to make it move away.

"Mother..." Cassian called as soon as he arrived at Olive’s treatment room.

"Hmm?" Olive replied as she arranged the medicinal herbs.

"How is Liliana’s condition? Is she injured?"

"Are you worried about her?"

"I’m just asking."

Olive nodded slowly. "Not too serious. Her body has its own healing ability."

"What should we do about the power Liliana possesses?" Cassian asked again.

"We’ll discuss it when your father comes home. And he should arrive at the residence tomorrow morning," Olive said. "Go get some rest. In two days, you and Liliana will enter the Academy. Mother is preparing a supply of medicine for the two of you to bring."

Cassian nodded and headed toward his room.

The next day, Cassian ran into Liliana as she was walking along the corridor of the house, followed by the white tiger with black stripes.

"How are you feeling?" Cassian asked.

"Very well. Thank you for your concern, Brother," Liliana replied in a mocking tone.

Cassian stared at her for a moment before giving a faint smile.

"Use your brain when you’re at the Academy later. Not just your feelings. Honestly, I don’t know how I ended up with a sister as stupid as you."

His hand moved to ruffle Liliana’s silver hair.

"Tsk... Didn’t I already tell you not to mess up my hair?" Liliana protested while gently brushing Cassian’s hand away.

Cassian simply lowered his hand without responding.

"Sir, Miss..."

"What is it?" Cassian asked.

"Alpha and Luna have asked the two of you to go to Alpha’s study."

Cassian nodded. "Alright, we’ll go there immediately."

"Father... Mother..." Liliana and Cassian greeted simultaneously when they arrived at Viktor’s study.

"Sit down," Viktor ordered.

A few moments later, Viktor looked toward Liliana. "Liliana..."

"Yes, Father."

"Mega has told me everything. Do you feel anything different in your body right now?" Viktor asked.

Liliana slowly shook her head. "Other than the pain around my solar plexus and the change in my hair color, nothing else, Father."

Viktor nodded. He took a small box from his desk drawer, then slid it toward Liliana.

"These are a pair of earrings that Father just obtained. Wear them, and never take them off until you are able to fully control your power."

Liliana looked up at Viktor, then nodded.

"Alright, Father."

Inside the box was a pair of silver-colored metal earrings with a blue sapphire stone in the center.

Liliana took them and immediately put them on both of her ears.

In an instant, the energy that had previously been continuously leaking from her body disappeared completely.

Viktor nodded in satisfaction upon seeing the change.

"Never take them off, Liliana. Especially when you are at the Academy."

"Yes, Father."

Viktor then shifted his gaze toward Cassian.

"And you, Cassian. From now on, increase your vigilance. Father received word that the Alpha King’s son will be returning to the Academy this month."

"I understand, Father."

Viktor nodded in satisfaction.

"Liliana, take this as well."

Olive handed over a box containing several bottles of thick black liquid.

Liliana accepted it in confusion.

"Mother... what is this?"

"Your silver hair is too conspicuous. Use this hair dye every night. Your hair will return to its previous black color."

"Listen to your mother," Viktor added. "That liquid will be very useful to you."

Viktor fell silent for a moment before speaking again.

"And one more thing. Never bring anyone into your room in the dormitory."

Liliana frowned.

"That place is one of the best locations for suppressing as well as concealing your power."

"I’ll remember that, Father."

"You may leave. Tonight, Father will take the two of you to attend a meeting with the elders. There is something you need to know about the future of the Draven family."

Liliana and Cassian exchanged glances.

They both realized that tonight’s discussion was not an ordinary matter. The decision that would be made could determine the future of the entire Draven Pack.

"Alright, Father," they answered simultaneously.

When night fell, Liliana and Cassian immediately headed toward the Draven Pack meeting room.

Inside the room, all the seats had already been occupied by the elders.

Liliana and Cassian paid their respects before sitting beside Olive.

Not long after, Viktor entered together with four Betas who were working together to carry a large wooden chest.

The four Betas stepped forward and placed the chest right in the middle of the room.

"Alpha... what is this?" one of the elders asked.

Viktor did not answer immediately. His gaze swept across the entire room before stopping on the chest in front of him.

"Open it."

His command was brief.

Click.

The sound of the chest being unlocked echoed throughout the room.

Everyone held their breath.

A moment later...

"What...!"

The elders immediately stood up and took several steps backward.

"Ugh..."

Liliana instinctively covered her mouth before vomiting.

Cassian froze. His gaze was fixed on the inside of the chest, while his face turned pale.

Olive covered her mouth with both hands. Her body trembled before she eventually vomited as well.

Only Viktor, Mega, and the four Betas who had carried the chest were still able to maintain their composure.

"Your Majesty Alpha... what is this?" one of the elders asked in a trembling voice. "What exactly happened?"

Viktor took a deep breath.

"I found them while searching for an artifact for Liliana at a dark auction owned by the human race."

Olive stared at Viktor with a pale face.

"Don’t tell me..."

Viktor slowly nodded.

"That’s right. They are all werewolf babies."

The atmosphere in the meeting room immediately froze.

"The humans froze them and sold them as lucky charms."

No one was able to utter a single word.
