Their first date was a perfect disaster—late arrivals, petty arguments, wrong orders, and just enough laughter to keep things from falling apart completely.
By the time the sky broke open, pouring relentless rain with no umbrella in sight, they had no choice but to run—half laughing, half cursing—through flooded streets toward Aarav’s apartment, completely drenched.
Inside, the cold clung to them, their clothes soaked and heavy, until Lily disappeared to change and returned in his oversized shirt, damp hair falling around her face, looking effortlessly distracting.
She caught him staring and teased him, “What are you staring at? Hann…,” stepping closer, testing him—and something in Aarav finally snapped.
“You’re dangerous,” he murmured again, but there was no distance in it now.
Only truth.
She let out the faintest laugh, breath unsteady.
“Took you long enough.”
He grabbed her, sudden and sure, pulling her into a kiss that wasn’t careful anymore—warm, intense, a little rough around the edges.
Instead of pulling away, Lily leaned into it, matching his energy, even catching his lower lip lightly between her teeth with a faint, daring smile—as if she liked this version of him just as much as he was starting to like this version of her.
The room didn’t feel quiet anymore.
It felt charged.
Like every breath between them carried weight.
Aarav didn’t kiss her right away this time.
He held her there instead—one hand firm at her waist, the other resting just beneath her jaw, his thumb brushing lightly along her skin.
Slow.
Intentional.
Making her wait.
Lily noticed.
Her eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of challenge returning.”…what are you thinking about?”
His gaze didn’t leave hers.
“I’m not thinking,” he said quietly.
“I’m taking my time.”
That shift—subtle, but real—sent a different kind of tension through her.
Slower.
Sharper.
Her fingers tightened slightly against his shoulders, but she didn’t break eye contact.
“Didn’t know you had that kind of patience,” she murmured.
“I don’t,” he replied.
A beat.
“But only with you.”
That landed.
She felt it.
And for once, she didn’t deflect it.
The silence stretched—not empty, but full of everything neither of them was saying.
He leaned in again—but stopped just before their lips met.
Close enough that her breath brushed his.
Close enough that she had to feel it.
“…you are always this difficult?” he murmured.
Her lips curved faintly.
“Only when I know it works.”
A quiet exhale left him—half a laugh, half something else.
“Yeah,” he said softly.
It does.”
And then he closed the distance.
The kiss wasn’t rushed.
It was deliberate.
Slower than before—but deeper, like he meant every second of it.
Her response came just as steady—but there was heat under it now, something less guarded.
Her hands moved from his shoulders, one sliding slightly higher, fingers brushing into his hair, holding him there.
Not pulling.
Just… keeping him close.
As if she didn’t want him to stop either.
Their breaths tangled between pauses, each moment stretching just enough to make the next one feel heavier.
When they pulled back, it wasn’t far.
It never was.
Aarav rested his forehead against hers again, his voice quieter now—but more serious than anything he’d said before.
“You make this…” he paused, exhaling softly, “…harder than it should be.”
Lily’s eyes flickered, searching his face.
“Then why not walk away?”
He didn’t hesitate.
“Because I don’t like things that are easier.”
That stripped something down between them.
No teasing.
No defense.
Just truth.
Her expression softened—not dramatically, not obviously—but enough.
Enough that he noticed.
Enough that it mattered.
“You’re really in trouble,” she said quietly.
“I know.”
“And you’re still here.”
“I said I wasn’t leaving.”
A pause.
Then, softer—almost like it slipped out before he could stop it:
“…I don’t want to.”
Their movements blurred into instinct—closer, slower, then suddenly not slow at all—as they drifted toward the bedroom without thinking, without planning.
The dim light wrapped around them, soft and quiet, but the tension between them was anything but.
They stopped only for a second—just long enough to look at each other’s uncovered bodies.
Her hair still damp, her lips slightly parted, her usual sharpness replaced by something softer, something unguarded.
He stared—like he was touching her body through his eyes.
That was the moment everything shifted again.
Not sharper.
Not rougher.
Deeper.
Lily’s hand moved from his shoulder, resting lightly against his bare chest—feeling the rapid, uneven rhythm of his heartbeat.
While making those naughty expressions.
“…you’re different like this,” she whispered.
“Really, but how?” he asked.
She nodded slightly.”…less annoying.”
He let out a quiet breath, something softer breaking through.
“That’s the best I’m getting, isn’t it?”
“For now, yes.”
Then she pulls Aarav closer and kisses him passionately.
The warmth of her body reacted with his cold finger and wet lips.
She was responding by doing the same thing for him- like grabbing his hair and guiding him to the places she liked to be touched.
And also leave some marks in his body, like marking him as her one and only.
Outside, the storm had ended.
Inside, something else had just begun.
And neither of them rushed it.
Because for once—
They are going to do what they have been holding for so many days.
Their desire, their love, their kiss and their intimacy.
Two uncovered bodies full of burning desire, eagerly exploring their needs and wants.
Making the sounds of love that are louder than the outside sounds of rain for the whole night.

-Morning After Rain-
Morning arrived softly, pale sunlight slipping through the curtains as the world outside felt fresh after the rain, but inside the room it was still warm and quiet.
Lily woke first, noticing Aarav beside her, his arm loosely around her like he hadn’t let go even in sleep, his face softer than she had ever seen it.
She watched him for a moment before he stirred and pulled her a little closer, half-awake, making her murmur a quiet tease about him being clingy.
When he opened his eyes, he didn’t look away—just held her gaze and said, simply, that she was still there.
The love lingered, softer than anything from the night before, and for once Lily didn’t argue, just looked away with the faintest hint of a smile.
“Good morning, Mr Perfect,” Lily said while touching Aarav’s nose with her.
To which he responds with the same gesture, “Good morning… my Love”.
Lily looked a little surprised to hear, but she loved it.
“Aren’t you forgetting something, love?” Aarav asked softly.
She blinked, a little confused.
“What? What did I forget? Do I have a meeting scheduled? Oh no—am I late?”
Before she could spiral further, Aarav stepped closer, a soft laugh escaping him.
“Relax… you’re forgetting something much more important.”
She looked up, confused.
“What?”
He chuckled, his eyes warm.
“Actually… you’re forgetting our morning kiss.”
Lily’s cheeks instantly flushed, her gaze dropping shyly.
Before she could say anything, he slipped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer.
Their eyes met for a brief second—soft, familiar, full of something unspoken—and then their lips met.
The kiss was gentle at first, like a quiet promise… then lingered a little longer than either of them intended.
Lily lightly pushed against his chest, breathless.
“Hey… tomorrow night is enough…”
He smirked, brushing his nose lightly against hers.
“Enough?” he repeated, amused.
“I don’t think I’ve ever known what ‘enough’ means when it comes to you.”
He smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from her face “If I could,” he continued softly, his voice turning sincere, “I’d spend every single second of my life loving you… annoying you… stealing kisses like this.” Then kiss her again and again.
Lily rolled her eyes, but her smile gave her away.
“You’re impossible.”
“And you love that,” he whispered, stealing one quicker kiss before she could protest.
This time, she didn’t stop him.
And just like that, their love story began.
