The red eye opened.

And Kael felt it.

Fear.

Real fear.

His hands trembled.

His breathing became uneven.

His heart pounded against his chest.

THUMP.

THUMP.

THUMP.

Liora stared at him.

“Kael…”

He looked at her.

For a moment, he said nothing.

Then he smiled.

“I forgot how loud a heartbeat could be.”

Liora almost laughed.

“Now isn't the time.”

“I know.”

The red eye expanded across the sky.

The First God immediately dropped to one knee.

The Law vanished.

The shadow disappeared.

Even the remnants of the Outer Realm began retreating.

Kael looked around.

“Everyone is afraid of it.”

The First God answered:

“Because it is not a god.”

“Then what is it?”

The First God looked upward.

“The End.”

A single word appeared across reality.

END.

The stars began dying.

One by one.

No explosions.

No battles.

They simply stopped existing.

Kael watched a distant galaxy disappear.

“How?”

The First God stood.

“It doesn't destroy things.”

“Then what does it do?”

“It makes them as though they never existed.”

Kael's expression became serious.

“That means…”

The First God nodded.

“If it reaches this universe, every memory of every life will disappear.”

Liora stepped forward.

“Can you stop it?”

The First God laughed bitterly.

“No.”

Kael looked at him.

“You're the First God.”

“Yes.”

“And you're telling me you can't stop it?”

“I created the first rule.”

He looked at the red eye.

“It existed before rules.”

Kael looked at Liora.

She was staring at the eye.

Her silver symbol had returned.

But something was different.

The symbol was fading.

“Liora?”

She looked down.

“I can feel something.”

“What?”

“It's pulling at my memories.”

Kael immediately grabbed her hand.

The moment he touched her—

the pulling stopped.

Liora looked at him.

“It stopped.”

Kael frowned.

“Why?”

The First God stared at their hands.

Then he whispered:

“Because they are connected.”

Kael looked at him.

“What is?”

“Choice and Authority.”

The First God pointed toward the red eye.

“The End erases existence.”

Then toward Kael.

“You define existence.”

Then toward Liora.

“She chooses whether it continues.”

Kael understood.

“So together…”

“You are the only beings capable of resisting it.”

The red eye blinked.

Reality cracked.

A voice emerged.

“KAEL ARDYN.”

Kael raised his head.

“I'm listening.”

“YOU HAVE RETURNED TO THE BEGINNING.”

Kael frowned.

“What beginning?”

The voice answered:

“THE FIRST CHOICE.”

Liora stepped forward.

Her silver eyes opened.

“I remember.”

Kael looked at her.

“What?”

She turned toward the red eye.

“I remember what happened before the first universe.”

Her voice changed.

It was still Liora.

But older.

Ancient.

“We didn't create the first universe.”

Kael froze.

“What?”

“We found it.”

The First God looked shocked.

“That is impossible.”

Liora continued:

“The universe already existed.”

“Then what did we do?”

She looked at Kael.

“We changed it.”

Kael's eyes widened.

“How?”

“By choosing.”

The red eye trembled.

Liora continued:

“Before us, existence had no choice.”

“No possibility.”

“No alternate future.”

“There was only one outcome.”

Kael understood.

“The End.”

Liora nodded.

“The End was the original state of existence.”

The First God whispered:

“And you two created possibility.”

Kael looked at his hands.

“So the Authority…”

“Was born from the first possibility.”

“And the First Choice…”

“Was born from the second.”

Kael stared at Liora.

“What was the first choice?”

She smiled sadly.

“To live.”

The red eye suddenly widened.

“ENOUGH.”

A wave of darkness exploded.

Kael grabbed Liora.

The darkness struck.

BOOOOOOM!

Everything vanished.

Kael opened his eyes.

He was alone.

No Liora.

No First God.

No shadow.

No universe.

Nothing.

He stood in complete darkness.

Then a voice spoke behind him.

“Kael.”

He turned.

His mother was there.

Again.

But this time—

she wasn't an illusion.

Kael stared.

“Mom?”

She smiled.

“I can't stay long.”

Kael rushed toward her.

She raised her hand.

“Don't.”

He stopped.

“Why?”

“Because this time you need to listen.”

Kael nodded.

She stepped closer.

“The End cannot be defeated.”

Kael frowned.

“Then how do I stop it?”

“You don't.”

Silence.

“You choose something it cannot erase.”

Kael thought for a moment.

“Memory?”

“No.”

“Love?”

“No.”

“Life?”

“No.”

She touched his chest.

“Choice.”

Kael looked at her.

“Choice can be erased.”

“Not if it is made freely.”

Kael's eyes widened.

His mother smiled.

“That is why Liora exists.”

“She's the First Choice.”

“Yes.”

“And I'm the First Authority.”

“Yes.”

Kael understood.

“We don't need to fight the End.”

His mother nodded.

“We need to choose a future it cannot predict.”

A crack appeared in the darkness.

His mother began fading.

Kael reached for her.

“Mom!”

She smiled.

“Live, Kael.”

Then—

she vanished.

Kael stood alone.

But this time, he didn't cry.

He understood.

He closed his eyes.

And made a choice.

Not to destroy the End.

Not to defeat it.

Not to save everyone.

Just one choice.

“I choose a future you cannot know.”

The darkness shattered.

Kael opened his eyes.

He was standing beside Liora.

She was holding his hand.

The First God stood several meters away.

The red eye filled the sky.

Kael smiled.

The First God looked at him.

“What did you do?”

“Nothing.”

Kael raised his sword.

“I made a choice.”

The First God stared.

“That isn't enough.”

Kael looked at Liora.

She smiled.

“It is.”

The silver symbol on her palm disappeared.

The black mark on Kael's hand disappeared.

Then—

something extraordinary happened.

The red eye began closing.

Slowly.

The voice screamed:

“NO.”

Kael stepped forward.

“You can erase everything that exists.”

The eye shook.

“You can erase every memory.”

The darkness cracked.

“You can erase every possible future.”

Kael smiled.

“But you can't erase something that hasn't been chosen yet.”

The red eye closed completely.

Silence.

Then—

the universe returned.

Stars.

Planets.

Light.

Time.

Everything.

Liora exhaled.

“We won?”

Kael looked around.

“No.”

She frowned.

“What?”

Kael pointed upward.

The First God was gone.

The Law was gone.

The shadow was gone.

The First Throne was gone.

Everything had disappeared.

Except one thing.

A small black door floated in space.

Kael approached it.

Words appeared across its surface.

THE LAST WORLD.

Liora stared.

“What is that?”

Kael touched the door.

A voice whispered from behind it.

His own voice.

But older.

Broken.

Terrified.

“Don't open this door.”

Kael looked at Liora.

She shook her head.

“That's probably a bad sign.”

Kael smiled.

“Definitely.”

The door slowly opened by itself.

Beyond it—

was a world.

A normal world.

People walking through streets.

Children laughing.

Birds flying.

Sunlight.

No gods.

No Law.

No Authority.

No monsters.

A perfect world.

Kael stared.

Then he saw something that made his blood run cold.

A boy walking through the crowd.

Black hair.

Gray eyes.

Sixteen years old.

Kael.

But not him.

The boy looked directly through the door.

And smiled.

Then he whispered:

“You finally found me.”

Kael's smile disappeared.

Liora grabbed his hand.

The boy raised his own.

A black mark appeared on his palm.

ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY.

Kael stared.

There was another him.

And this one—

had never lost.
