“Zhang Rou is being followed?” Hearing this, Jiang Chen furrowed his brows.
Although he hadn’t interacted with Zhang Rou much, he knew enough about her character.
She was kind to a fault—a genuine pushover who wouldn’t get angry even if someone provoked her.
Someone like her couldn’t possibly be tailed for no reason.
Right now, there were only two possibilities.
One: local thugs lusted after her beauty.
Two: it was Lord Dog’s men.

“It’s those two men behind me.”
“It’s not just them!” Jiang Chen reached out and grabbed Zhang Rou’s delicate hand, clearly feeling the dampness of sweat on her palm.

The two men tailing Zhang Rou stopped in their tracks.
Looking straight at Jiang Chen, one of them sneered, “You knew we were waiting for you, yet you still walked right up.
Should we call you brave, or just plain stupid?”
Jiang Chen shrugged with a smile.
“Why don’t you try me and find out?” As he spoke, he pointed around them.
“Tell your men to come out.
It’ll save me the trouble of hunting them down one by one.”
The man froze for a moment, clearly not expecting Jiang Chen to have spotted the rest of his crew.
But it didn’t matter anymore.
Now that both Jiang Chen and Zhang Rou were here, it was time to make their move.
He let out a sharp whistle, and the goons hiding in the vicinity closed in, completely boxing Jiang Chen and Zhang Rou into a small corner of the street.
“Who are they?” Zhang Rou leaned against Jiang Chen’s back and asked, her face filled with fear.
Nine men.
And every single one of them looked fierce and vicious.
She thought that in this situation, it would be almost impossible to escape.
Since that was the case, she at least needed to know who they were dealing with.
