The rain had started slowing down.
The storm that had covered the city for hours was finally beginning to calm, leaving behind wet roads and a quiet night.
The headlights of Rahul’s car reflected on the empty road as he walked towards his sister.
“Nayshita, are you okay?”
She smiled slightly.
“Yes, Rahul.
I told you I was fine.”
Rahul looked at the car, then at the stranger sitting inside the vehicle ahead.
His expression became serious.
“You stayed here alone with this person?”
Nayshita immediately understood his concern.
“He helped me, Rahul.”
She looked towards Vishesh’s car.
“He didn’t do anything wrong.”
Rahul walked closer.
Vishesh noticed him coming and stepped out of the car.
The rain had almost stopped, but drops of water still fell from the trees around them.
“Thank you for helping my sister,” Rahul said politely.
Vishesh simply nodded.
“Anyone would have helped.”
His voice was calm and simple.
He did not sound like someone expecting appreciation.
Rahul observed him carefully.
There was something familiar.
The way he carried himself.
The confidence.
The quiet authority.
But he couldn’t place it immediately.
Nayshita stepped forward.
“I really appreciate your help.”
Vishesh looked at her.
“Your brother is here now.
You should get home safely.” Get faster updates on g.com.
That was it.
No extra conversation.
No attempt to continue the interaction.
Something about that surprised her.
Most people tried to make themselves memorable.
But this man seemed like he wanted nothing.
“Thank you,” she said again.
Vishesh just nodded.
As Nayshita moved towards Rahul’s car, Rahul looked back at Vishesh.
The name.
The face.
The presence.
Suddenly, something clicked.
His eyes widened slightly.
“Wait…”
He looked again.
That face.
That person.
There was no mistake.
Rahul quickly got into the car and looked at Nayshita.
“Do you know who that was?”
She looked confused.
“No.
Why?”
Rahul looked through the window at Vishesh.
“That is Vishesh Mehra.”
Nayshita blinked.
“Who?”
Rahul gave her a surprised look.
“The Vishesh Mehra.”
He explained.
Now Nayshita understood.
“Oh.”
She looked back towards him.
“So he is the owner of the company?”
Rahul nodded.
“The future head of the Mehra Group.”
Nayshita looked at Vishesh for a moment.
The same person who had been standing in the rain.
The same person who had helped her without asking anything.
It was difficult to connect him with the powerful businessman she had heard about.
“Well,” she said casually, “now I know.”
Rahul smiled.
“You didn’t even recognize him.”
Nayshita laughed softly.
“Why would I?
I met him in the middle of a storm, not in a business meeting.”
Rahul shook his head.
“Tomorrow’s meeting just became interesting.”
They started the car.
Before leaving, Nayshita looked back one last time.
Vishesh was already sitting inside his car.
Lost in his own thoughts.
She didn’t know his story.
She didn’t know his past.
She didn’t know the weight he carried behind that calm face.
To her, he was simply a stranger who helped her on a rainy night.
And to him, she was simply someone he had helped.
At least for now.
The two cars moved in opposite directions.
Neither of them knew that their paths had already started crossing.
