“President Gu, this is…”

The executive assistant knocked on the door, just about to summarize today’s schedule and the plan for the next few days.

Gu Yu directly grabbed the suit jacket on the sofa and strode out, “Off work. Send the schedule to my email.”Full novel: The Reformed Me Turned The Male Lead Gay — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The assistant froze for a moment. “…Yes, President Gu.”

How strange. President Gu usually doesn’t leave before eleven, so why so early today? And if he wasn’t mistaken, the stand-collar shirt had faint red marks at the top, looking like scratches from someone’s hands.

No way, isn’t his boss cold and aloof? Is he about to get a mistress already?

Gu Yu arrived at the underground parking lot via the elevator, didn’t sit in the back as usual, and went straight to the driver’s seat. “Get out.”

The driver was confused, got out, and watched as his boss got behind the wheel, started the car, reversed smoothly, and then shot forward in a flash. Within a few breaths, even the exhaust fumes were out of sight.

The driver thought: Did I… do something wrong? Can I even come to work tomorrow?

Late at night, the luxury sports car roared down the road with a growl like a dragon.

Swish!

Jiang Yumo got out, using the car’s high beams to look ahead. They were now at the top of a slope, the “[1]“Dragon’s head” (龙头 / lóngtóu) a metaphor used in Chinese mountain road racing culture. 【Host! Your heartbeat seems a bit fast.】

Jiang Yumo: “Oh.”

The cool night breeze made Jiang Yumo’s heart burn with excitement.

A playful smile appeared at Jiang Yumo’s lips. “System, use energy points to check Gu Yu’s position and movement.”

Since this wasn’t a bad deed, the system responded quickly.

【Understood, host. Current energy points 10.7】

【Male lead distance 8km… 7.5km, rapidly approaching!】

The smile on Jiang Yumo’s lips deepened.

“How’s it feel? Scared?” Xu Feiyao jumped out of the car, holding the door with one hand. He noticed Jiang Yumo staring at the winding mountain road and thought he was a bit frightened.

Zhong Qikai also thought that Jiang Yumo was only 18 and probably hadn’t tried extreme activities before. Most likely, he was too scared to actually go, but out of pride, he couldn’t admit it. Zhong Qikai wanted to give him a way out: “How about you just watch for now? Let your brother Xu and I show off a little for you!”

The others didn’t see anything wrong with that either. The two leading guys were already being polite to Jiang Yumo, so they couldn’t say anything and even encouraged the boy, giving him an easy way to step back.

“When I first got my license, I didn’t dare to drive on this road either.”

“I remember the first time you drove here, you almost peed your pants!”

“Don’t slander me! That was water, okay?”

“Alright, alright! Whatever you say goes!”

The others kept teasing each other and almost came to blows.

Jiang Yumo scratched his cheek. The headlights reflected in his eyes, making them shine, and he smiled a little shyly. “I…”

A moment later, two sports cars shot forward like dragons along the winding mountain road. The screeching of tires against the asphalt echoed throughout Panlong Mountain Road, making the crowd at the top of the slope go wild. They cheered nonstop, some even standing on the car roofs with hands cupped around their mouths: “Woohoo~~~”

Swish!

Another sharp, ear-piercing screech rang out. The spectators at the top screamed in panic, only realizing a moment later that the sound was coming from behind them.

Under the lights, the golden car gleamed. The driver-side door of the black, glossy Rolls-Royce opened, and a long leg in tailored black pants stepped onto the ground, followed by the tall, slender figure of a man.

He wore a full suit with all the buttons fastened to the top, looking as if he had rushed straight out of a meeting room.

His hair was perfectly styled, his forehead full, his nose bridge exceptionally prominent, giving his face a commanding presence. Yet the faint smile at the corner of his mouth softened that intensity, inspiring respect without making him unapproachable.

“Brother Yu!”

“Second Young Master! You’re here to drive too?” someone asked.

Ye Qiu shoved the person lightly. “Of course! The Second Young Master only came because Brother Xu called him. Otherwise, why would he be here for you?”

Gu Yu’s elegance and poise made him appear approachable, but very few dared to get close, keeping more than a meter away, still buzzing with excitement.

There weren’t many people present, and Gu Yu’s eyes swept over all of them.

Xu Feiyao wasn’t here. Gu Yu’s brow furrowed slightly.

He’s late?

The others’ hearts sank, but before they could say anything, a deep, rumbling roar like a wild beast from behind drew everyone’s attention. Two sports cars raced in a tight line, one after the other, each refusing to yield, competing fiercely for first place.

With just two bends left, Jiang Yumo asked the system, “Check, where’s Gu Yu now?”

【Okay, Host, consuming 1 energy point. Current energy: 9.7】

【Current distance to male lead in a straight line: 156m, 142m…】

“Ha!” Jiang Yumo couldn’t help laughing. His eyes widened, the corners of his mouth stretched to their fullest. His smile was sharp and crescent-like, like the gleeful grin of a movie villain whose scheme had just succeeded.

His whole body trembled with excitement, and the car echoed with his restrained, quivering laughter.

The system had a bad feeling: 【Ho-Host, what are you planning to do?】

Jiang Yumo snickered and without hesitation slammed on the accelerator!

On Panlong Mountain Road, the two cars shot into the final bend. As they sped through, the car behind unexpectedly drifted to overtake!

The crowd gasped. “Look at that!”

The pursuing car suddenly slipped, losing control. It rolled toward the cliff edge, flipping several times until its side slammed hard against the roadside guardrail!

“Ah!” screams erupted from all around.

The other car stopped, but Gu Yu didn’t even glance at it. He dashed straight to the car leaning sideways on the guardrail.

The guardrail acted like a fulcrum, turning the car into a seesaw, the front pressed against the ground while the rear lifted into the air, and below stretched a sheer drop.

A gust of wind blew, and the car wobbled dangerously.

Gu Yu’s pupils constricted sharply; the scene reminded him of seeing news of Xu Feiyao’s death in his previous life.

“Xu Feiyao!” Gu Yu whispered sharply.

At that moment, his anger at Jiang Yumo peaked, he wanted to kill him.

The next second—

“Brother Yu!”

Xu Feiyao jumped down from another car behind. “Xiao Jiang’s inside! Hurry, save him!”

Gu Yu froze for only a few seconds. The others were already holding the car’s front steady to prevent it from rocking backward. Without hesitation, Gu Yu leapt onto the side window of the tilted car.

A pale, youthful, and handsome face came into view. Compared to the calm demeanor the last time they met, the boy’s expression was slightly drained now, his forehead dotted with sweat, eyes reddened as if still filled with panic.

The car window had been slightly deformed from the impact, and Gu Yu, along with a few others, pushed with all their strength.

Jiang Yumo feigned panic, but in reality, he narrowed his eyes, observing the prominent veins on Gu Yu’s temples and neck, straining from the effort. He licked the inside of his teeth subtly.

The system watched the host’s racing heartbeat in alarm.

During the earlier car flip, the heart rate was only 120, but now it shot up to 150. What could the host have seen to get so excited?!

Tear!

Gu Yu’s suit couldn’t bear the strain and ripped. The next second, the car door was pulled open.

Jiang Yumo grabbed the man’s neck like clutching a lifeline. “Wuwuwu, that scared me to death.”

His slender arms wrapped around Gu Yu’s neck, the contrast between his pale limbs and the dark suit emphasizing the fragile delicacy of a rose about to be crushed.

Jiang Yumo leaned in, feeling that Gu Yu’s body was harder than steel, and sneaked a smile in the corner, blocked by the man.

It was the first time Gu Yu had been held so close, his vulnerability exposed. His pupils widened and then contracted rapidly.

“Whoa! That scared me to death!” Xu Feiyao shouted loudly. “Damn! How is he? Is he badly hurt? Should we take him to the hospital?”

Only then did Jiang Yumo lift his head from Gu Yu’s neck, tears glistening at the corners of his eyes. He moved his legs slightly. “Feels like I can’t move.”

Gu Yu lowered his gaze to him, his eyes probing as if trying to see through every inch of him, skin and bone alike.

Xu Feiyao panicked, stretching his neck from behind. “How is he? Is he broken? It’s my fault! I should never have let you get in the car. It’s all my fault!”

Gu Yu reached out, unbuckled his seatbelt, and with a lift and a pull, drew Jiang Yumo into his arms.

“Ah!” Jiang Yumo exclaimed.

Gu Yu paused, glanced at him, noting the bruises and scratches on the exposed limbs, green and purple from the bumps, at first sight, he looked pitiful and miserable.

The others crowded around, chattering.

“Are you okay? Does any part hurt?”

“Wow! Xiao Jiang, that drift just now was amazing! I didn’t expect someone your age to have this skill!”

“Way better than me at 18! Back then, I couldn’t even drift!”

They gathered around Gu Yu, voicing their concern for Jiang Yumo.

Gu Yu held him steadily and set him safely on the ground.

“Ah! Look!”

The front of the sports car, which had been resting on the guardrail, was now weightless. The rear end was heavier, causing the front to lift, and the car plunged straight off the cliff.

Bang!

Bang bang bang!

Bang!

The group leaned over the roadside to watch as the car tumbled to the bottom of the cliff, reduced to a heap of scrap metal.

Jiang Yumo instinctively shrank his arms, pressing them tightly against the man’s neck. He felt the warmth of blood flowing under Gu Yu’s skin and subtly pressed his tongue to his inner cheek. With an apologetic expression, he said, “Brother Xu, I’m sorry for damaging your car.”

This wasn’t just damage; the car was completely ruined, beyond repair.

“Ah! It’s no big deal,” Xu Feiyao said. “It’s just a car. If worse comes to worst, we can buy another one. The important thing is that you’re okay.”

“Don’t worry about the car,” Zhong Qikai said. “Brother Xu has seven or eight sports cars at home, this is nothing to him. Don’t worry.” He added, “Should I take him to the hospital to, ah!”

Xu Feiyao tapped Zhong Qikai on the back of the head and lowered his voice. “Don’t say a word.”

Zhong Qikai touched his head in confusion. “Huh???”

Turning to Gu Yu, Xu Feiyao said, “I’ll handle the rest here. Brother Yu, you take him to the hospital to get checked.”

Gu Yu’s gaze flickered briefly but he didn’t refuse.

He carried Jiang Yumo over to the Rolls-Royce and placed him in the passenger seat. His dark eyes, framed by black lashes, fixed on the pale boy’s still slightly shaken face. Gu Yu stepped back, straightened, and turned around. A small group of onlookers mirrored him with a step back, their expressions now a mix of curiosity and gossip after the initial worry.

“Don’t stay out too late,” Gu Yu said as he walked around the hood and got into the driver’s seat.

Everyone watched as the Rolls-Royce drove away with Jiang Yumo inside.

Zhong Qikai asked, puzzled, “Why didn’t you let me say anything?”

Ye Qiu asked in surprise, “Brother Xu, that car is worth tens of millions! And it’s okay that it’s not being compensated?”

Xu Feiyao smiled mysteriously. “You wouldn’t understand.”

It’s just a car. Xiao Jiang has the kind of talent that can enchant the entire Gu family. From now on, he’s one of us. No matter who he’s with, this car is just a casual gift to Xiao Jiang.
