Hannah.

But at the happiest moment of our relationship, I witnessed the accident that happened while she was on her way to see me.

Because of that, our relationship never truly came to be.

And yet…

Hannah had appeared before me once again.

Was this another variable created by the Room of Choices?

Hannah asked cautiously,

“Is this 5519 15th Avenue?”

“Yes, that’s right.

I ordered a hamburger combo.”

“Yes, here you go.”

As I took the bag from her,

I asked,

“Have you been doing this job long?

I don’t think I’ve seen you before.”

I’d never ordered from this place before.

I just wanted to find out why she was doing this.

“Oh, I only started recently.

I’m just doing it while I’m taking a break.”

“I see.

Then I probably won’t see you again.”

“No.

I think I’ll be doing this for a while.

Please order again sometime.

I’ve already learned the area, so I’ll be able to deliver even faster next time.”

“Sure.

Thank you.”

What was going on?

Hannah was taking a break from work?

She had worked as an office assistant Find the original chapter at g.com.

at a law firm.

So why was she on leave?

I sat there eating my hamburger, trying to piece it together.

Had she left the law firm?

Why?

Did she make some kind of mistake?

Or was she planning to change careers?

I still had so many regrets about Hannah.

She was the girlfriend

I had lost in an accident just one hundred days after we started dating.

Should I find out?

The accident had been avoided this time.

Maybe…

Hannah’s appearance was another scenario presented by the Room of Choices.

If the opportunity came,

I’d see her again.

That opportunity came sooner than I expected.

I was heading out into town, stepping through the front yard, when I spotted Hannah riding her bicycle toward me in the distance.

Huh?

Another delivery?

As she rode, her front wheel hit a speed bump, and she was thrown off her bike.

I immediately ran over to check on her.

Nothing seemed to be broken.

Just some scrapes…

Blood was beginning to seep through the skin on her knee.

That had to hurt.

“Y-Yes…

Ow!”

She tried to stand, only to sit back down again.

It looked like she’d injured her ankle.

“I think you’ve hurt your ankle.

Where do you live?”

I already knew where Hannah lived.

Back when we were dating,

I’d walked her home every day.

But now,

I couldn’t possibly say that.

“No.

I have to finish my deliveries first.

Thank you for helping me.”

Ignoring the pain in her ankle,

Hannah stood up and started limping forward, pushing her bicycle.

“I have something to pick up nearby.

If it’s close,

I’ll help you finish your delivery, then take you home.

I’m heading into town anyway, so I’ve got plenty of time.”

“Would you really?

I can’t cancel the delivery…

Then I’ll have to trouble you.”

I’d found an opportunity to meet Hannah again.

Why had Hannah appeared here?

Was her scenario still unfinished?

I suppose

I’ll find out eventually.

The Room of Choices will call for me again.
