Yu Jiao looked at his face, blackened with fury, and felt her heart skip a beat.

Chu Yin’s eyes were bloodshot, his mind replaying the lies she had recently spoken, and an irritability had taken root deep in his bones.

The way he looked at Xiu’er made people shiver; his gaze was full of murderous intent.Full novel: The Sickly Prince and I Eloped Together on Our Wedding Night — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Such a demon made one want to flee immediately.

All Chu Yin could think of now was killing—killing those audacious maids.

Killing anyone who had abandoned or rejected him.

Yu Jiao was startled by his appearance and saw his hand trembling uncontrollably at his side.

He wanted to kill in front of her, to peel someone’s skin off, to show her his darkest, most corrupt side.

That way, she wouldn’t dare to think of escaping, he thought.

He fixed a chilling stare on Xiu’er, who was already trembling in fear, and raised his foot to walk toward her.

Without thinking, Yu Jiao dashed forward, tightly embracing his waist, and turned her head toward Xiu’er, signaling her to go find help.

Seeing Xiu’er run out of the room, Chu Yin’s eyes turned entirely blood-red.

“Let go.” Chu Yin’s voice was directed at the door, eyes uncontrollably wild, as if he wanted to drag someone back and tear them apart alive.

Yu Jiao shook her head, lifting her tear-filled eyes to look at him silently.

Seeing her innocent, harmless expression, Chu Yin’s irritation deepened, and his anger grew.

He forcefully flung the person in his arms away, his tone sharp and ruthless: “This Prince, command you to let go!”

Yu Jiao felt a surge of pain where he gripped her hand, frowning in pain but refusing to release him. Somehow, she felt a surge of grievance in her heart.

Chu Yin, seeing the fleeing figure disappear, lost all rationality. He gripped Yu Jiao’s hand even tighter and, shoving her, slammed her straight onto the bed.

Her hands seemed glued to his waist. As Yu Jiao fell, his whole body pressed down on hers.

“No! I won’t!” Yu Jiao stiffened her neck, stubborn and defiant, ignoring the tears streaming down her face from the pain in her hands.

“No matter how many times Your Highness pushes me away, I won’t let go!”

“Even if Your Highness cuts off my hand, I won’t let go—never, ever!”

The person in his arms sobbed uncontrollably, rubbing her tears across his clothing, repeatedly declaring she would never let go.

Chu Yin suddenly fell silent, the redness in his eyes fading slightly, yet the desire—to destroy—still burned intensely.

Why?

Why, even though he had abandoned the idea of killing her, did she still want to escape?

Why did everyone reject him, abandon him?

He raised a hand to her lips. Her lips were soft and delicate—capable of uttering deceitful words that ensnared the heart, yet also capable of provoking rage.

Destroy her, and she would never speak of escape again.

Yet, he found himself reluctant to ruin those lips.

Even knowing they spoke lies, he still wanted to hear them.

He buried his face in her neck; even her neck was so soft it seemed to swallow him whole.

He drew a few deep breaths before lifting his head, revealing the fair, delicate skin beneath the red clothing.

Suddenly, he tore open her clothes, exposing her snow-white shoulder, and bit down near her earlobe.

Yu Jiao bit her lips in pain, but her grip never loosened.

The pain on her earlobe intensified, spreading down her neck. Yu Jiao felt her vision blur, yet he still did not relent.

Ying Feng and Ying Jue, who had arrived, exchanged a glance, shocked.

Ying Jue stood not far away, too afraid to intervene. When the prince reached such a state, he would not stop without drawing blood.

All he could do was speak anxiously: “Your Highness, that is Princess Consort!”

For a moment, Chu Yin froze, raising his head and stopping the biting, looking ahead with a hint of confusion.

A voice suddenly echoed in his mind, saying she would never let go, never leave him in all lifetimes.

Then, another gentle voice sounded: “Mother Consort will not leave you.”

In an instant, the gentle voice softened even further: “Good, drink this. Drink this—Mother Consort will always be with you.”

But in the next second, the gentle voice turned maddeningly cruel, cursing him as a monster, a demon.

Why don’t you die?!

Why don’t you go to hell?!

She forcefully pushed him away, her eyes full of contempt, an unbearable disgust, looking at him as if he were filth.

He was terrified. He wanted her to embrace him. He wanted to obey her, to do anything so she wouldn’t despise him…

Suddenly, Yu Jiao’s body pressed against him once more. Chu Yin’s voice, weak and desperate, sounded at the last moment, humbly begging:

“Don’t go.”
