What?!
Everyone present was stunned!
Han Qiuyue took one bite and was utterly astonished.
To improve the quality of her hotel’s food, she had tried produce from many mountain suppliers, but absolutely none of them could achieve this level of quality.
It was, without a doubt, in a class of its own.
"Since your hotel isn’t interested in cooperating, then forget it!" Li Yang feigned a sigh and stood up to leave. "I’ll just go find another hotel. There are plenty of others around here."
With that, Li Yang headed for the door.
The boss, looking incredibly awkward, immediately shot to his feet. "Boss Li, please wait."
Li Yang turned his head, a look of feigned surprise on his face. "Are you talking to me, a humble farmer?"
The boss looked even more awkward and gave a hollow laugh. "My apologies. I was out of line earlier. Your produce is excellent. Let’s continue our partnership."
"Then what about them?" Li Yang gestured toward Gao Jinming and his wife.
"Gao Jinming, I’m afraid the quality of your produce doesn’t meet our standards. Our partnership ends here," the boss said gravely.
"Ah, Boss..." Gao Jinming began to panic.
"Get them out!" The boss didn’t waste a second, just nodded at Manager Fang.
Manager Fang was delighted. "Security! Get in here and throw them out!"
"You’re bullies!" Wang Xiangqin wailed, on the verge of tears.
’What is all this crap? None of you men are any good! You get what you want and then pretend you don’t know anyone!’
After Gao Jinming and his wife were thrown out, they were the only ones left in the room.
"Boss Li, how much for the oyster mushrooms per pound?" the boss asked with a fawning smile.
All traces of his earlier arrogance had vanished.
Li Yang looked over at Han Qiuyue.
"For this quality, even twenty a pound isn’t too much!" Han Qiuyue chimed in to support him.
"Alright then, twenty it is!" the boss decided immediately.
But Li Yang just smiled.
’You pissed me off earlier. I might’ve accepted that price before, but now...’
The boss looked a little awkward. "Twenty-five. How about that?"
"Done!" Li Yang finally nodded. "Twenty-five for the oyster mushrooms. The other, regular vegetables will be at the previous price."
"Great!" The boss nodded, seeming much more relaxed now that a deal was struck. "I’ll leave you two to discuss the details. I have to go."
He knew Li Yang was still annoyed with him, so there was no point in sticking around.
"Is it just the oyster mushrooms that are this quality?" Han Qiuyue asked excitedly, once the boss and Manager Fang had left.
"For now, yes," Li Yang nodded. "The others haven’t reached this level of quality yet, but it won’t be long before they do."
"Good!" Han Qiuyue laughed. "I believe you. But you’d better hurry. Just having these oyster mushrooms will get a little monotonous."
"I understand," Li Yang nodded.
"By the way, do you have any other specialty products from the mountains, like game or other meats?" Han Qiuyue asked after a moment’s hesitation. "Just vegetables can still be a bit monotonous. If you can get your hands on some, I’ll pay a premium."
"No problem," Li Yang nodded. "I’ll ask around when I get back."
"Perfect!" Han Qiuyue finally felt completely at ease.
"Manager Han, you have a stomach condition, don’t you?" Li Yang asked suddenly, looking at her. "It tends to flare up in the heat, right?"
Han Qiuyue was startled. She hadn’t expected Li Yang to diagnose her illness with just a single glance.
"You can tell?" she asked in surprise.
Li Yang nodded. "I can tell, and I can treat it. How about this: take off your clothes, and I’ll give you some acupuncture."
At the mention of taking off her clothes, however, Han Qiuyue grew hesitant.
"What’s wrong?" Li Yang asked, curious.
’Is she really this shy?’
Han Qiuyue looked anxious.
"I... I’m not wearing a bra," she finally said in a small voice.
’Not wearing one...’
Li Yang’s eyes instantly lit up, his gaze drawn to her chest.
’No wonder they’re so prominent. So that’s the reason!’
’The thought alone is pretty damn exciting,’
"That’s fine..." Li Yang said, feigning composure. "If you’re not wearing one, you’re not wearing one. It’s actually better. It makes it easier for me to place the needles."
"Huh?" Han Qiuyue froze. "Do you have to put needles... there?"
Li Yang was inwardly delighted. "Not necessarily, but... this way, I can better observe the overall progression of the condition."
Han Qiuyue had a feeling Li Yang was full of it, but then she remembered how he had diagnosed her at a glance and figured he might have a point.
She had been tormented by this illness long enough. Now that there was a chance for a cure, Han Qiuyue didn’t want to waste it. After a moment’s hesitation, she nodded.
Soon, her professional blazer came off, and Han Qiuyue lay on the sofa, her face slightly flushed.
Even though she was lying on her stomach, revealing only the tip of the iceberg, that glimpse was more than enough for him.
’She’s stacked!’
"Dr. Li, please begin," Han Qiuyue urged, her own face burning.
’Being stared at like this by a man several years her junior gave her a strange sort of thrill.’
Li Yang took out the silver needles he had brought from the clinic.
"Manager Han, don’t move now. I’m going to give you a poke," Li Yang said playfully.
Manager Han, flustered and annoyed, turned her head to glare at Li Yang.
But in doing so, she inadvertently revealed a little more of what was underneath.
"Ah, you..." Manager Han scrambled to cover herself.
Li Yang nearly had a nosebleed from the view. He quickly reined in his thoughts and began the acupuncture.
Ten-odd minutes later, he was finally finished.
Han Qiuyue felt both her body and mind relax considerably.
"Your technique is really something else!" For a moment, Han Qiuyue completely forgot her state of undress.
Li Yang just felt all the blood rush to his head.
