Yuna Shirosaki — Perspective
The guardian was terrifying.
Even after fighting goblins earlier, this thing felt completely different.
Its massive body alone made it hard to breathe.
And every time it moved, the entire ruins shook violently.
“Kaito, move!” I shouted.
The guardian’s fist crashed into the ground right beside him, destroying the stone floor instantly.
Dust filled the air.
But somehow…
Kaito still managed to dodge.
Reina continued analyzing the guardian while giving instructions from behind.
“Left side opening!”
“Core exposed for three seconds!”
Her Appraisal skill was basically carrying the fight at this point.
Meanwhile, I focused on supporting Kaito with magic.
“Wind Burst!”
A strong gust pushed Kaito forward just before the guardian attacked again.
For some reason…
Working together like this felt natural.
Like our movements were connecting automatically.
The blue Genesis energy surrounding Kaito became brighter with every synchronized action.
Even the ruins themselves reacted to him.
The glowing symbols on the walls pulsed every time he moved.
Then finally—
The guardian’s chest core became exposed completely.
“This is our chance!” Reina shouted.
Kaito immediately rushed forward.
Fast.
Too fast for a normal person.
The guardian tried attacking him one last time, but Kaito dodged underneath its arm and jumped directly toward the glowing core.
I instinctively supported him with another burst of wind magic.
CRACK.
The moment Kaito destroyed the core, the entire chamber became silent.
The guardian froze.
Its glowing eyes slowly faded before its giant body collapsed heavily onto the ruins floor.
The battle was over.
“…We actually won,” I whispered.
Honestly…
I still couldn’t fully believe it.
Kaito landed back on the ground breathing heavily.
For the first time since arriving in Elyndor, he actually looked exhausted.
I immediately ran toward him.
“Kaito! Are you hurt?!”
“…I’m fine,” he answered quietly.
But clearly, he wasn’t completely fine.
Then the system activated again.
A new screen appeared before Kaito.
His expression changed slightly.
Another reward probably.
At this point, I’m honestly getting used to it.
But then—
The glowing sphere at the center of the ruins suddenly became brighter.
Everyone looked toward it immediately.
The entire chamber was illuminated by soft blue light.
Even the atmosphere changed.
“…What is that?” I whispered.
Reina tried using Appraisal again.
But after a few seconds, she frowned.
“…It’s not responding.”
Elira looked nervous beside us.
“That energy… it feels ancient.”
Kaito slowly walked toward the glowing sphere.
And strangely…
The closer he got, the brighter the light became.
Like the sphere was reacting specifically to him.
Again.
Then finally—
He touched it.
The glowing sphere disappeared instantly into countless particles of light.
At the same time, Kaito froze slightly.
“…Genesis?” he whispered quietly.
So the system was talking to him again.
Honestly…
That should’ve sounded insane.
But after everything we experienced already, nobody questioned it anymore.
The Genesis symbols across the ruins glowed brighter.
Then suddenly, the ruins began shaking violently again.
I almost lost balance immediately.
“What now?!”
Kaito looked toward the wall nearby.
“There’s a lever.”
Without hesitation, he pulled it.
RUMBLE.
The stone walls above us slowly opened, revealing light from outside.
An exit.
I immediately sighed in relief.
“We can finally leave…”
But somehow…
I had a feeling this was only the beginning.
Because every time the Genesis System reacts to Kaito…
Something bigger always happens afterward.
