“Your turn. Hand over the ring.” Qin Jiang spoke calmly.

Xiao Fan clenched his jaw, eyes fixed on Ye Ling’er in the floating palace. His chest heaved violently, and rage surged within him like a tidal wave.

Xiao An sighed softly in his heart, “Fan’er, give him the ring.”Full novel: The Villain Snatched the Protagonist’s Master at the Start — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

When he first learned Ye Ling’er’s identity, he had felt a sliver of hope. But he never expected that even the mighty ancient Ye family would surrender so easily. That only proved how powerful the Qin family truly was.

The Xiao family… was merely a subordinate clan under them. Resistance was impossible.

Though Xiao Fan was filled with reluctance, his father’s voice brought him a bit of clarity. He looked at the ring in his hand, eyes full of unwillingness.

In the end, he closed his eyes and threw it toward Qin Jiang.

Hei Long stepped forward, caught the ring with a wave of his hand, inspected it briefly, and then handed it over to Qin Jiang.

As Qin Jiang examined the ring, a voice from the system rang in his mind.

Qin Jiang’s eyes gleamed.

His consciousness entered a vast space—the system space. Before him floated a golden orb and a jade bottle.

They were the Ancestral Dragon’s Blood and the Marrow Cleansing Pill.

And besides those…

“Hidden Divine Body? System, I have a hidden divine body?” Qin Jiang asked in surprise.

Right now, he already had a divine body—specifically, the Innate Immaculate Divine Body. It gave him unparalleled cultivation speed and zero bottlenecks. As long as he had enough spiritual energy, he could continue breaking through without limit.

That kind of divine body was already extremely powerful.

It was why he had been named the Qin family’s young master at birth and designated heir. No one opposed it.

Everyone knew how terrifying the Immaculate Divine Body was.

But now… he actually had a hidden divine body?

[No need to doubt. The system does not make mistakes!] the system replied firmly.

Qin Jiang’s heart filled with joy. Just the Immaculate Divine Body alone was already unmatched—if he had another…

Wouldn’t he be invincible?

“What is my hidden divine body?” Qin Jiang asked.

However, the system gave no further answer. Qin Jiang didn’t press. Once it awakened, he’d naturally find out.

His consciousness returned.

Looking down below, he paused briefly, then murmured, “Still feels like my little sister got the short end of the stick.”

Standing nearby, Ye Ling’er heard his muttering and clenched her small fists nervously. The Xiao family had already lost all dignity. If Qin Jiang made another move, the Xiao family might lose more than just face.

She looked at Ye Kuan pleadingly, hoping he’d speak up for the Xiao family.

But Ye Kuan pretended not to notice. He didn’t dare say a word. Ever since stepping onto the floating palace, he had sensed several auras, all as strong as his, firmly locking onto him.

If he made the slightest move, those auras could tear him apart instantly.

And he didn’t doubt that there were even stronger people hidden beyond.

“Forget it.” Qin Jiang shook his head. “Hei Long, give them a slap to vent—don’t hurt anyone. Just smash the Xiao residence.”

With that, he turned and headed into the floating palace.

…

Fifteen minutes later.

The Xiao family stood amidst the ruins, watching the departing floating palace with eyes full of tears and bodies trembling in rage.

“Beast! That beast!”

“My home… sob, even the tiger tonic wine I brewed is gone!”

“All gone… it’s all gone…”

Many Xiao family members collapsed to the ground, devastated as they looked at the ruins of their home.

Xiao An’s face was filled with bitterness. Who would’ve thought Qin Jiang would have their home destroyed in the end? Thankfully, no one was injured.

He let out a tired sigh, “Stop wailing. Dig out anything useful from the ruins. We’ll rebuild the Xiao family.”

As the patriarch, he still had some authority.

The others sighed and began cleaning up the mess.

Xiao Fan stared blankly in the direction Qin Jiang had flown. His eyes had lost focus, and he stood there like a statue. Pain surged quietly in his heart—he felt like something irreplaceable in his life was slipping away forever.

…

Inside the floating palace.

Qin Lian’er leapt into Qin Jiang’s arms. “Brother, you’re the best~”

Qin Jiang smiled, rubbing her head with affection, “Alright. Now that the engagement is broken, my little Lian’er is free again.”

“Hehe~” Qin Lian’er giggled with delight.

Her pretty face glowed with joy. Ever since that engagement was arranged, she had never been truly happy. Now, the damn engagement was finally over.

The brother and sister chatted and laughed.

Soon, they returned to the Qin family estate.

Qin Jiang instructed Hei Long to arrange accommodations for Ye Kuan and Ye Ling’er. Then he headed toward his own residence, with Qin Lian’er trailing behind him like a little shadow.

But before they even reached the courtyard, Qin Jiang spotted an old man sitting at the entrance, legs crossed boldly.

“Brother, that’s Grandpa,” Qin Lian’er whispered.

She hid behind Qin Jiang, looking a little guilty. Neither of them had informed the old man about the engagement cancellation.

But clearly, he had heard the news.

Qin Jiang took a deep breath and glanced at his guilty little sister.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got this.”

With a big grin, he strode up to the old man, “Hehe, Grandpa! Enjoying the sun today?”

At that, the old man’s beard twitched. He snorted, “Enjoying the sun? Hmph! If you don’t explain what you did today, I’ll have you bask in the sun for a whole year!”

“Uh…”

Qin Jiang scratched his head. As expected, the old man was here to settle scores.

He rolled his eyes, searching for an excuse. But before he could speak, the old man snapped, “Don’t try to trick me. I know exactly what you did today!”

Seeing this, Qin Jiang gave up and spread his hands helplessly. He turned to Qin Lian’er and said, “Lian’er, go wait for me in my courtyard. I’ll spend some time with Grandpa.”

“Okay~”

Qin Lian’er nodded obediently, tiptoed around them, and even made a face at Grandpa’s back.

The old man squinted at her retreating figure, his eyes flashing with danger as he looked back at Qin Jiang.

Once she disappeared inside, Qin Jiang straightened up and faced the old man directly, “I did nothing wrong today!”

“Heh…” The old man chuckled coldly and slowly pulled off his belt. “You did nothing wrong?”

Qin Jiang’s eyelid twitched. He quickly stepped back two paces, “Old man, what are you doing?”

“You little brat, what did you just call me? You’re getting bold, huh?!”

The old man’s eyes widened as he swung the belt with a whistle through the air.

Qin Jiang barely dodged it and couldn’t help shouting, “Old man, you’re trying to kill your own grandson!”

“I really will beat you to death today, you unfilial brat!”

“Sh*t, sh*t!”

Seeing the old man truly enraged, Qin Jiang panicked. He turned and sprinted toward the back mountain.

“Ancestor! Great-grandpa! Forefathers! Save me!!!”
