Just after complaining, Meng Ci’an’s phone rang.

“Bro, I want to invite you to the Green Moss Hotel for dinner tonight. Are you free?”

“No, Bro, I really want to invite you to dinner, not buy anything,” Meng Shining explained.
After a pause on the other end, he said, “Got it.”
Meng Shining frowned. “If you’re free, say you’re free; if not, say you’re not. What does ‘got it’ mean?”
Meng Ci’an sighed. “I mean I’ll go tonight.”
With Meng Ci’an’s confirmation, Meng Shining finally hung up.
As long as he agreed to go, half the mission was complete.

Linking arms, they entered the room. Meng Shining patted her head, pretending she had forgotten something important. “Oh, I left my phone in the car. Wait here, Bro, I’ll go get it.”
With that, she left the room and sent Lin Yushan a message signaling she could enter.

Meng Shining hid nearby, leaving only after seeing Lin Yushan enter.

She hurried outside and saw Jiang Wenyan getting into a black car.
Looking back, Meng Ci’an had followed her out.

“Drive, hurry, my brother is coming!” she urged the driver.
The driver hesitated and looked at Jiang Wenyan. “Young master…”

Meng Shining clasped her hands toward Jiang Wenyan, pleading, “Jiang Wenyan, please, please let the driver go. My brother will kill me if he catches me.”
