Everyone is watching what Ethan warned and prepared for.

Until now, everyone remained somewhat skeptical.

They were predicting the end of the world with information that hadn’t been entirely proven.

But now, look, people cannibalizing each other and heavens, a child devouring what may be one of their parents.

Ethan stands with his arms crossed watching TV.

– “No more containment.” – Ethan says, drawing everyone’s attention.

“I want every armed police officer, rifles and pistols, pairs patrolling, mostly on the second floor to watch for any suspicious approach.” – Ethan says firmly.

“This is worse than I thought.

Initially I just thought it would be some kind of viral outbreak, but this… it seems like the gates of hell have closed and no one who dies will stay dead.

Clark, you saw what I saw, right?”

“Depends, what exactly?” Clark is hugging Jasmine, obviously terrified and protecting his wife, calming her and calming himself in the process.

“At the hospital, these infected people arriving… one of them literally had his guts hanging out and was still moving… another with more than half his throat open and still moving… there’s no way anyone, under the effect of a virus or not, could move in those states…” Ethan falls silent and silence persists.

“This… is something catastrophic, maybe… I don’t think the government will recover.” Ethan takes a deep breath and leaves.

“Where are you going?” Kate asked.

“I’m going to try to contact my friend at the CDC, to see if he has any information about these things, how to kill them, if there’s a cure or anything.” Ethan walks away, without flinching at this lie.

…

In his room, he reached Level 5 and now, he hesitated, but selected Charisma.

– ‘I’ll need this if I want to maintain my lies and leadership.’

The result of the first point spent was 1.

His Charisma increased from 2 to 3.

This astonished him; he smiled, even though he didn’t feel anything different.

Gritting his teeth, he selected Dexterity; this will improve his reaction time, reflexes, and much more.

The second result was an impressive 3.

His Dexterity went from 3 to 4.

His jaw dropped.

He composed himself.

– ‘My luck is back!’

Ethan looked at his attributes, hesitated, but with renewed confidence he selected Strength.

The result was 1 and… STR went from 4 to 5.

Ethan shudders as a warm wave floods his body; his muscles seem to dance as his strength rises to new heights.

Clenching his fists, now with a lifting capacity of 330.56kg, Ethan is truly entering a surreal level.

“If I had focused on Charisma, I would be at 5 now…” – Ethan realized his mistake, but shrugged it off; he managed to get 3 attributes, 2 of them physical.

As for investing in INT?

Honestly, Ethan doesn’t plan to invest until all attributes are at least 8.

The reason?

He might waste levels trying to reach 9 or 10.

So it’s good to waste those levels when it’s not so important.

When there are no better options.

PART 2

Ethan returns.

– “How was it?

We heard you scream…” Kate asked.

“They’re dead.” – Ethan says.

– “The infected… they’re walking corpses, my contact told me that.

Said that if you get bitten, you’ll suffer a severe infection that can’t be stopped by antibiotics, only by ripping off the limb and praying it hasn’t spread, the person can live…” – His words terrify everyone.

“He told me something about the brain, it being reactivated after death, but limited.

If intense damage is done to the brain, the dead person becomes dead again and is no longer a problem.

So it’s about aiming for the head… because it’s strong, I was informed that they are slow, some can even run.” – Ethan says, remembering that in the first season, the most recent zombies, with 1-2 months of infection, still retain some subtle functions, capable of running, but not all.

Of course, the so-called “running” is more of a brisk walk.

“I’m going out.” – Ethan says.

“What?!” – Many are shocked.

“I need to go to the police station, Sheriff Kenny should still be there and honestly, it must be chaos.” – Ethan says.

“But it’s dangerous.” – Jasmine says.

“I know, but the station has guns, lots of guns.

Even if we have enough, I don’t think it will be like this forever and… we don’t know what other kinds of people might get their hands on those guns.

Whether or not they could become a danger to us.” – Ethan has a stern expression.

“Okay, I’ll go with you.” – Clark says without hesitation.

“No!” – Jasmine refuses without hesitation.

“Honey, he’s my partner and I’m not going to let him go alone.”

“I’ll go too.” – Hudson volunteers.

– “The Sheriff was like a father to us, we can’t let him die…”

“Yes.

I’ll go too.” – Arthur nods.

“No.” – Ethan answers before the wives.

– “Hudson and Arthur, I appreciate it, but I want you to stay and protect everyone here.

If people come here asking for refuge, keep them away; we can’t shelter anyone.

If an infected person gets in and turns into one of those things… everyone here will be at risk.”

His words will raise paranoia, but it’s necessary for safety.

“Clark, you’re coming with me.

Jasmine, don’t worry, I’ll take care of him, I always have.” – Ethan smiles.

…

“So, boss, what’s the plan?” – Clark, obviously nervous, stares at Ethan as they get into the vehicle, which is already moving.

“Let’s go to the police station first.” – Ethan says.

– “Check if your weapons and ammunition are in their proper place; we might have to use them.”

Clark nods, Ethan turns on the radio, flipping through channels, listening to the news.

There’s the police radio, Donna’s voice ringing over calls here and there, asking anyone to answer.

The two exchange glances.

– “Donna, are you listening?” – Ethan says into the radio.

<> “Ethan, is that you, dear?”

“How’s the situation at the police station?” Ethan asks.

<> “It’s a mess.

Nobody’s answering, what’s going on?

People are attacking each other!”

“Is Kenny there?”

<> “I’m here, son, what’s happening?

Where is everyone?”

“Kenny, release any thugs in the cells, close the station, lock everything up, I’ll explain when I get there.”

<> “What are you talking about, kid?”

“There’s no time, just do what I’m saying.

I’ll explain when I get there.”

Clark stares at Ethan and says, “It’s going to be difficult to talk to the sheriff.”

“He has no choice but to listen,” Ethan says calmly.

…

The streets are in chaos, and Clark is terrified by the scene.

Men and women wander aimlessly, bloodied, and rushing at any sign of noise.

People devouring each other, families begging their children, parents, and siblings to stop this madness.

“Take the wheel,” Ethan says, and Clark takes the wheel.

They switch places, and with a shotgun, Ethan climbs out the window, aiming and…

POW!

A man reaching out his hands has his head exploded, falling and no longer moving.

“Ethan?!

What the hell!” Clark screams in panic at the sight.

“It stopped moving.” – Ethan says, at the same time…

[+2 EXP]

“You… fuck!” – Clark stares at him.

Ethan clenches his fists.

– “You think I’m enjoying this, for fuck’s sake?

These things are already dead, they’re damn dead killing living people.

The more of these things we take off the streets, the fewer people will turn into this.

Now drive and approach those 3 over there.”

Clark stares at two women and a man staggering, bloodied.

Growling, he approaches.

– “Not towards them, keep your distance, enough space for me to shoot and these things not get me!” – Ethan yells and Clark tells him to fuck off, but does as he asks.

Ethan aims, stabilizes and…

POW!

POW!

POW!

Quick shots, the zombies fall and Ethan receives 6 more EXP.

“Go on, you can ignore the rest.” – Ethan says.

“What?!” – Clark stares at him.

“There are still a lot of people alive in the streets, it’s hard to tell who’s who.” – Ethan points to some corridors.

In The Walking Dead, zombies don’t run, at least not the older ones.

The newly transformed ones, those are capable of running, which is more of a brisk walk.

It really is difficult to tell who is who.

Ethan doesn’t plan to use his [Radar Sense], because he doesn’t want to have details of all the atrocities that are happening.

What that could do to his mental state, he doesn’t even want to imagine.

Clark curses and drives to the police station.

But as soon as they arrive, there are many people and Kenny, the Sheriff, is helping people get inside.

“Shit…” – Ethan sighs.

“Dude, look over there.” – Clark says, and Ethan sees a group of at least 10 of these things, scattered across the streets, bloody, advancing towards the police station, following the people.

Kenny yells for them to hurry up, thinking they’re wounded. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

Ethan grabs his AR-15, cocks it, and gets to the back of the truck, aims, and starts shooting.

“AH, FUCK!” – Kenny is startled by the gunfire, pointing and seeing Ethan with a rifle, raining bullets on these wounded people.

“ETHAN!” – Kenny roars and aims at him.

– “What are you doing?!”

“KEENY!” – Ethan roars back.

– “They’re infected!

They’re already dead and they’re going to kill whoever’s alive.

GET INTO THE FUCKING POLICE STATION AND LOCK EVERYTHING UP, NOW!”

Kenny stares at him.

“HURRY UP, YOU STUBBORN OLD MAN!” – Clark’s roar comes.

Kenny clenches his fists and, with only a pistol in his hands, he flees to the police station.

The car arrives and stops.

They both get out.

Ethan jumps and steadily aims, now more steady, shooting at the torso, as hitting the head is difficult.

But luckily for him, [Aiming] reached Level 4; he read Volume 2, knowing this could happen.

In an instant, his aim improved significantly.

The zombies fall.

Clark has already entered and grabbed Kenny, who was running to punch Ethan.

“They’re already dead!

These people are walking dead!” Clark roars, pushing Kenny away.

“This doesn’t make sense!” Kenny yells back, spitting saliva in Clark’s face.

“It doesn’t, but that’s what’s happening!” Clark roars back.

Ethan thinks and growls.

– “Wait, I’ll show you.” He says, even with all the noise and gunfire, since [Radar Sense] reached Level 4 and passively affected his senses, he has better hearing, better vision, and more subtle control over incoming information.

He literally allows himself to ignore or reduce the sound damage from the gunshots to himself.

Moving forward, Ethan sees a woman nearby, that empty stare, trotting as she advances toward him, faster than others.

Aiming, Ethan shoots her in the waist, practically obliterating her, and the woman falls.

But even falling, slightly stunned, as soon as she faces Ethan, she lunges forward, crawling toward him.

Moving forward, Ethan shoots her in the arms, incapacitating her.

“What the hell are you doing?!” – Clark roars in the background.

“SHUT THE DAMN POLICE STATION, BARRIDGE EVERYTHING, I’M COMING!” – Ethan roars and pulls out a machete, grabs the woman by the hair and, to the shock of everyone watching, he simply decapitates her.

Elisa…

Someone in the police station speaks with fear, tears streaming down their faces as Ethan grabs her hair and runs into the station with a head in his hands.

“GET IN NOW!” – Ethan roars and Clark pushes the stunned Kenny inside.

Ethan bursts in, Clark quickly closes the door and now, with an AR-15 in one hand and a severed head in the other, Ethan is the target of many stares and Kenny, the old sheriff, stares at him with fear, pointing a gun at him.

PART 3

“BARRIQUE THE DOORS AND WINDOWS, NOW!” – Ethan roars and puts his head on the counter.

“Elisa… WHAT DID YOU DO?!

YOU MONSTER!” – A woman roars tremulously, and many others join her.

Ethan points his AR-15 at them and says, “SHUT UP!

Look.” – He then moves Elisa’s hair, and the shock spreads.

The shock of the teeth, even with only her head, she continues trying to bite, her eyes moving, her jaw opening and closing.

“They’re dead!

Everyone who turned into these things is dead, just damn empty shells that want to destroy what’s still alive, which is us!

Now stop being a bunch of useless ignoramuses, accept the damn reality as it is, and help me block all the entrances, if these things invade, it will be a damn bloodbath!” – Ethan roars and, aiming for the head, he shoots, blowing it up.

Kenny is already lying on the ground, trembling.

Ethan goes to help Clark; some people, just from the shock, understand that these things aren’t here to talk, but to feast on your flesh.

Soon men and women rush to help, moving the counter to the main door, locking the windows which, luckily, have iron bars.

Ethan ran to the back, the cells still filled with some vagrants who are screaming and wanting to know what happened.

In one of the cells, a massacre.

Ethan aims and shoots, killing the zombie inside, then shoots the mutilated corpse on the floor, receiving more EXP.

He then went to the back and stumbled; 7 figures burst in through the back door, staggering and trotting.

Ethan retreats, aiming and shooting, and returns to the cells.

“Attract these things!” – Ethan roars.

– “They’re attracted by sound, lure them in, give me time to kill them.

Because if I die, you’ll starve to death in these cells!”

As the figures burst in, grunting and groaning, Ethan shoots at the same time.

“Hey!

You ugly thing!”

“You son of a bitch, I’m here!”

“Come suck my dick, you fat whore.”

They do indeed start acting like the jerks they are.

But it’s enough to attract the zombies to them.

“Don’t let yourselves get bitten!

Don’t let the blood of these things splash on any wound, it’s a disease, if you get infected, there’s no cure!” – Ethan roars and shoots.

The criminals move away from the cells, some even planning to grab and beat them, but they retreated upon hearing this.

But they still made noise, attracting them and giving Ethan time to deal with it.

Clark arrived and started shooting too.

A farmer who had grabbed one of the pistols Clark uses is aiming and firing as well.

“The head!

These things only die with a shot to the head.” – Ethan roars.

Noticing another person coming, this time with a shotgun, Ethan runs and shouts, “PUT THAT DOWN!”

He reaches the person before they can shoot.

“What are you doing?!” – The panicked person stares at Ethan.

“There are people in the cells, do you want to shoot and risk the fragments hitting them?” – Ethan pushes him and takes the shotgun from his hand.

Ethan hands him the AR-15, then draws his Glock, advancing.

“I’ll close the back door before more of these things invade.”

Advancing, Ethan holsters the Glock under his armpit.

With the shotgun, he focuses on a group, aims, and fires.

An explosion occurs and four of them fall, faces torn apart.

Cocking his gun and advancing, he turns into the corridor, several of them, and doesn’t hesitate to shoot the one in front of him in the chest.

His chest explodes, fragments affecting the others.

Ethan cocks his gun and fires, relentlessly.

Ammunition runs out, so he pulls more from his inventory without anyone seeing, even if they see, they won’t care.

POW!

POW!

POW!

He fires without ceasing, clearing a path, tearing apart and then kicking.

“This damn thing won’t close…” – Ethan growls, too many bodies, he can’t close the door.

Soon Ethan jumps over the bodies out of the police station.

He looks and sees that many are hitting the walls of the station and, as the shots reverberate, they are concentrating on the back exit, which is usually where the patrol cars arrive to put the criminals in the cells.

Cocking his gun, he fires and shouts.

– “Here you sons of bitches!

Here!” Ethan shoots and succeeds in luring them away.

But pulling a radio from his waistband, he tunes in.

– “Clark, you idiot, are you listening?!”

POW!

<> “Yes.

Where are you?!”

“I’m in the street.

There are a lot of these things invading from behind, I’ll push them away as much as possible.

Try to close off the back and watch out for the piled-up bodies, some might still be moving.”

<> “Everyone, and you?”

“I’ll manage.

You left the truck keys inside, right?”

<> “Yes.”

“Then I’ll figure out how to get in and move it to a safer place for an escape.

For now, compose yourself in there.”

<> “Okay, take care out there, partner.”

“Be careful of anyone who’s been scratched or bitten inside.

Isolate them at all costs.”

…

Ethan aims and fires, circling the police station, infected and normal people in his field of vision.

Growling and drawing a pistol, he cracks open skulls close enough to be shot.

The zombies are drawn to him, as inside the police station, the shooting has stopped and Ethan is the one making the most noise now.

Running down the street, Ethan is very happy with his Constitution Level 5.

– ‘If this continues, my Fitness will reach Level 4 by the end of the day,’ Ethan thinks.

Cocking his shotgun, he decimates 3 zombies too close and finds the pickup truck.

‘Fuck… Clark, couldn’t you have chosen a worse place?’ Ethan grunts as he sees his beautiful pickup truck, that monster on four wheels, at the entrance of the police station, with dozens of zombies.

“‘Fuck, where did all these people come from?

Are these things multiplying?’ – Ethan frowns and picks up the radio.

– ‘I’ll have to abandon the truck for now.

Avoid making noise and arm anyone who knows how to use a damn weapon, isolate anyone who’s been scratched and bitten, understand?'”

Ethan doesn’t wait for a response and walks away, roaring.

“HERE!

Come and get me, you fucking monsters!” – Ethan roars and shoots.

Taking a look, he’s killed 41 zombies so far, gathering 82 EXP.

Looking quickly, he noticed that his Level 3 [Fitness] has 171, he needs 79 EXP to reach level 4.

Without much to see around him, he invests everything, not having time to wait.

If he’s surprised, he’ll die and that stored EXP will be useless.

In an instant, a wave of warmth washed over him, his breathing, which had been getting heavy, the muscle aches from so many gunshots and other factors, significantly reduced as he felt stronger and more alert.

Shuddering and nodding, even more focused and rejuvenated, he needs to get as many zombies out of here as possible.

And with a clearer mind, he understands that the large number of zombies in a city that must have around 4,000 inhabitants is because people are terrified, seeking help from the police.

In other words, zombies attracted by gunfire, people running here, zombies further away attracted by people, approach and are drawn by the gunfire.

In the end, everything is concentrated here.

– ‘I was stupid, I shouldn’t have come here.’ – Ethan growls, but understands that if he had left Kenny to die, it would affect his leadership and how others see him. This chapter was copied from novelping dot com without permission.

Even though Kenny means nothing to him, having officially known him for two weeks, it’s different for Ethan than for Clark, who’s been a police officer for almost a decade, having served and been trained by Kenny.

Kenny is like a father to all the police officers in Linden County.

Abandoning someone like that, who also cared for him, would make him seem heartless in the eyes of others.

At that moment, an out-of-control vehicle sped towards him.

Ethan managed to react and jumped onto the sidewalk.

Looking briefly, he saw a woman in pain and tears, being devoured by a child and moments later crashing into a store.

The noise helped a little.

Ethan stopped shooting and ran into an alley.

The reason for making this decision?

[Radar Sense] was activated, and faced with so much information that it almost makes him vomit, he knows there’s no danger ahead.

He moves forward and, reaching the other side, gasps.

He catches his breath and knows that more is coming from all sides.

At that moment, a pickup truck that was speeding up begins to slow down.

– “Need a ride?” – A provocative voice, even amidst the fear and confusion.

Bianca Lindsey.

Ethan doesn’t say anything, he gets in and sits down.

– “Anywhere in mind?” – She asks.

“Don’t drive too fast and start honking.” – Ethan says.

“How?” – Bianca blinks.

“These things are attracted to sound.

At the police station, there are many people surrounded, we need to lure as many as possible away from the station.” – Ethan says while loading his shotgun.

Bianca stares at him and nods, she starts honking and indeed, they become the focus of the infected.

“These things are getting closer and coming from everywhere.” – Bianca says fearfully.

Ethan ignores her and throws himself into the back of the truck.

Standing up, he aims and shoots.

Bianca’s eyes widen.

– “I’ll clear a path, keep going at this speed.”

Growling, Bianca obeys, where she sees people being torn apart, people she knows, people who have insulted her, or shared a barbecue with.

She sees their heads exploding.

“They’re already dead,” Ethan says, even with all the noise and panic, his voice sounds so clear.

– “They’re just bodies yearning for destruction, they’re not the people we know anymore.

They look like them, but they’re not.” – Finishing reloading, he stands up and continues.

<> “Ethan, are you there?

Are you the one shooting and honking?”

The radio rang.

– “Yes.

I’m making noise to get them out of there.

How’s the situation?”

<> “I’m on the roof and it’s going well.

Almost everyone is heading there and… man, there are hundreds… it looks like a sea of people.”

“The truck, how’s it?”

<> “Looks good.”

“Then find one or two people willing to help you with weapons to kill as many of these things as possible.

Go inside and meet me, we have to divide these things as much as possible and reduce their numbers.” – Ethan says, and after a moment of silence.

<> “Okay.”

In less than 5 minutes, gunshots and honking can be heard in the distance.

“It’s our backup.

You—” – Ethan stopped talking, noticing what was happening further ahead.

PART 4

Some time before Ethan and Clark arrived shooting at the police station.

In a small apartment, a red-haired woman tightly hugs a little girl of 5 or 6 years old.

– “Mommy…” – Her terrified voice rang out.

“It’s okay, Dina, Daddy will come to save us.” – The woman says while trying to calm her daughter, even though she fails to remain calm.

The shooting begins.

The woman shudders, but to a certain extent is relieved, thinking it’s the military.

“I’m scared…” – Dina says, snuggling closer into her mother’s embrace.

“It’s okay, the police and the army will save us, Daddy will save us.” – The woman smiles and at that moment, footsteps sound and a knock on the door.

“Daddy!” – Dina shouts excitedly, almost leaving her mother’s embrace.

“Mommy, it’s Daddy!” – The child shouts and…

Bang!

Bang!

Her voice drew the attention of the thing.

– “No, it’s not Daddy.” – The mother says and pulls her.

– “Let’s take shelter in the bedroom, okay?”

She takes her daughter to the bedroom, trying to calm her down, but the knocking continues and doesn’t stop.

Soon another knock joins in; now there are two knocking on the door.

Dina cries, her mother calms her down and… the front door is old, the latches rusty, and she’s been asking her husband to fix it for a long time.

A different bang sounds, and she knows, the door has given way.

The child screams in fright, and whatever it is, is coming in, walking inside.

The woman holds a knife.

– “Daughter, don’t make a sound, be quiet.

Mommy will protect you.” – She kisses Dina’s forehead.

But the scream attracted attention, and she understands that it was a mistake to hide in her daughter’s room; the door doesn’t have a lock.

One knock, and it opened.

And at the door, an old, bloodied man, a blank stare, his body trotting into the room.

Dina makes a noise amidst the fear, hugging her mother tighter.

The old man stares at her.

– “Back off!” – The woman points her knife, the old man opens his mouth to let out a guttural grunt as he lunges forward.

Daughter screams, the mother quickly gets out of the way, and the old man falls onto the toys.

Quickly hugging her daughter and getting up, she goes to the door, the hallway, and sees a woman in the way, turning slowly.

The gunshots become more frequent… she runs, she needs to get to the police station.

She bumps into the woman, who crashes against the wall, rushing through the room, to the collapsed door, leading to the hallway.

Upon arriving, there are 3 people.

She is terrified, her daughter cries and calls for her, then she growls and runs, enveloping her daughter in a hug while hands grab her, she pushes and doesn’t care.

Her hair is pulled, but she pulls it back, not caring about her scalp being ripped off.

Let them tear her flesh, but they won’t touch her daughter.

She stumbles, cries out in pain, is grabbed and scratched, she headbutts the chin of one holding her, another ends up biting her shoulder, tearing off a piece.

Aah!

She screams and trots, the zombie that bit her fell, she knelt, but got up and ran, reaching the stairs, going down and finding a woman with an empty stare.

She kicked her and slipped in the process, screaming in pain with her knee scraping on the ground and perhaps twisting her ankle.

Mommy!

But the cry of this sweet child in her arms awakens her.

The pain doesn’t matter.

She forces herself to stand, even without knowing where so much strength comes from.

The woman who kicked her grabbed her leg, biting her calf, tears streamed down, so much pain, but she keeps running, limping.

A young man with a slit throat extends his hands.

She turns and, trotting, ends up bumping into him awkwardly; the zombified young man falls.

She crosses the entrance, reaching the street and continues, dodging.

– “Help!” – She screams for help, crying and seeing many.

Many of them.

An alley appears, her last chance.

The gunshots and horns are close.

She is pale, losing a lot of blood, but the child in her arms trembles; she is her world, she needs her to be strong.

She advances into the alley, zombies are in it, she keeps advancing and screams, she cries in despair, but fights with everything she has.

She throws her body, her hair is torn, a hand grabs her face, she bites so hard that she tears off two of the zombie’s fingers.

She waves the knife in her hand.

– “THEY WON’T TOUCH HER!”

Her arm is grabbed and a piece is torn off.

She pushes and advances, stumbles and throws herself.

“RUN!” – She pushes Dina.

– “RUN BABY DON’T LOOK BACK GO!”

Dina is terrified, seeing her mother covered in blood.

She understands, she senses the fear, even with so much pain and fear, she smiles.

– “Run, daughter, Mommy will be alright.” – She suppresses everything she feels just to be able to smile.

And the child runs.

To her joy, she runs.

But she sees, one of those things, her daughter is running towards her.

‘Move!’ – She roars in her mind as she crawls, she needs to protect her.

She jumps like a frog.

Even so close, zombies fall on her, her legs, and devour her while she’s still alive.

Her daughter screams, a scream she can only see as imposing, she no longer has the strength to move forward.

– ‘I need… please… God!’ – “GOD!” – She screams desperately.

“GET OUT OF HERE!” – An angry shout and she sees, her daughter about to be caught, but someone grabbed that creature and threw it against the wall.

A man, a policeman she remembers, tall, strong and handsome.

He grabbed her daughter and shot the zombie, then their eyes meet.

Ethan advances towards her, gritting his teeth.

– “I’ll take care of her.” – He says, it’s all she needed to hear, closing her eyes as the gun barrel is pointed at her head.

Pow!

And everything goes black.

Ethan runs, growling and roaring in his mind.

– ‘YOU NERDS, SONS OF BITCHES!

Is this the damn zombie apocalypse you all want?!’
