The pack of demonic hounds chased after them frantically.
Lin An and Er Ya, with their weak physical strength, could only run a few hundred meters before they started running out of breath, their steps faltering.
Without hesitation, Cheng Jiang grabbed Er Ya with one hand and lifted Lin An up like two sacks of cotton with the other, shouting as he ran, “Er Ya, buff quickly!”
Er Ya, lifted high in the air, her face pale, hastily formed a hand seal.
His physical strength was boosted by 100%, combined with his existing Upgrade passive ability, Cheng Jiang’s legs felt like they had jet engines.
He kicked off a tree trunk, soaring away at a terrifying speed, leaving the pack of demonic hounds roaring helplessly behind before landing in a hidden cave.
As the three sat catching their breath, Lin An – with the keen eyes of a poor child who often scavenged – suddenly looked into the dark corner of the cave.
“You… You look! Something’s glowing!” Lin An pointed tremblingly.
Cheng Jiang approached, pushing aside the tangled vines.
To their astonishment, an ancient treasure chest hidden in the Dungeon appeared.
He used one hand to break the rusty lock, and the lid opened, emitting a soft, shimmering light.
– A pair of twin daggers crafted from sharp beast fangs, radiating a dark, cold light.
– A fist-sized emerald green crystal, sparkling with overflowing energy.
Cheng Jiang immediately used his clairvoyance ability:
