Victor Moore’s expression was serious while Evelyn looked between her daughter and Adrian, still trying to process everything that had happened.

Victor finally spoke.

“Let’s start with something simple.”

Lillian looked at him.

“What?”

“Ethan.”

Victor asked”is it just inappropriate questions he asked?

“No.

Lilian replied.

Evelyn leaned forward.”What else?”

Lillian told them about the club.

She explained how Ethan had been drinking, how he had asked her if she could satisfy a man, and how she had become angry and slapped him and she saw chatting with a girl.

Her father listened carefully.

Then his phone rang.

It was Ethan’s father.

Victor answered.

After exchanging greetings, he asked directly,” I need explanation from your daughter why she slapped My son..Mr Carter shouted angrily

Victor’s expression became colder.

“Apparently your son is a scumbag and has someone else.”

Another pause.

“you..you..that’s not true.”mr Carter stammered.

Victor retorted” oh so you knew, what a shameless family.Ethan just want to use my daughter now I know it’s because of the contracthow shameless can the Carter family be?”

” that not true…what contract..

nothing like that.mr Carter said.

“For your information the contract is over Victor ended the call angrily

The room became silent.

Evelyn calmed her husband down while saying”thank God he showed his character soon.”

“He have someone but still want my daughter what a scumbag” Victor stated

Evenly commented”He better not let me see him

Victor looked toward Adrian.

“Adrian.”

“Yes.”

“Do you actually know my daughter well?”

Adrian answered honestly.

“I don’t.”

Lillian looked at him.

Victor continued.

“You barely know her.”

“That’s correct.”

Victor leaned backand said seriously “since this incident happened you guys have to get married you can’t use my daughter.

Adrian didn’t hesitate.

“No problem sir”

“You Agreed.

Victor asked he was shocked because he thought he would have to go through Edward sterling after all in Ice-Zone City no one doesn’t know that you can’t force Adrian sterling into doing things he doesn’t want to.

Lillian looked at him in surprise.

Victor narrowed his eyes.

“Why?”

Adrian looked toward Lillian.

Then calmly answered,

“Because I find her interesting.”

The room became silent.

Lillian blinked.

Her mother looked at her.

“And you?”

“I think he’s interesting too.”

Victor stared at both of them.

Evelyn smiled faintly.

“Well…”

She looked at her husband.

“At least they don’t dislike each other.”

Victor sighed.

Then he stood.

“All right.”

Lillian looked up.

“All right what?”

Victor looked at Evelyn.

“We need to speak to the Sterling family.”

Evelyn immediately understood.

“About the wedding?”

“Yes.”

Lillian’s eyes widened.

“So quickly?”

Her father looked at her.

“You’re the one who said you don’t want Ethan.”

“I know.”

“And Adrian is willing.”

She looked at Adrian.

He simply nodded.

Victor picked up his phone.

“We need to discuss dates.”

Evelyn was already thinking.

“The wedding should be elegant.”

Victor nodded.

“Of course.”

“How many guests?”

“We need to invite both families.”

“What about business partners?”

“They’ll receive invitations.”

“What about relatives?”

“We’ll make separate lists.”

Lillian stared at them.

They had completely forgotten that she and Adrian were sitting there.

Evelyn continued.

“What about the venue?”

Victor thought.

“The Sterling family estate would be suitable.”

“Maybe.”

“We should ask them.”

“And the reception?”

“We need somewhere large enough.”

Lillian slowly looked at Adrian.

He was staring at her parents with the same expression of disbelief.

She whispered,

“Are they seriously planning our wedding?”

Adrian quietly replied,

“Yes.”

“Without asking us?”

“It seems so.”

Lillian sighed.

“This is unbelievable.”

Adrian looked at her.

“You wanted to avoid Ethan.”

“I know.”

“And now?”

She looked toward her parents.

“They’re planning everything.” New chapters come out on g.com first.

He smiled slightly.

“At least you don’t have to plan it.”

Lillian glared at him.

“Don’t joke.”

“I’m not.”

Their parents continued.

“We need to decide who will handle the guest list.”

“I’ll speak to Edward.”

“And I’ll speak to the decorators.”

“What about the engagement announcement?”

“We’ll wait until the families agree.”

Lillian and Adrian sat quietly.

Neither knew what to say.

Victor suddenly looked toward them.

“Why are you two so quiet?”

Lillian immediately answered,

“Because you’re planning our wedding without us.”

Evelyn laughed.

“You don’t have to worry.

We’ll handle the difficult parts.”

Lillian stared at her mother.

“Mom!”

Adrian lowered his head, hiding a smile.

Lillian noticed.

“You think this is funny?”

“A little.”

She nudged him.

“Don’t.”

He smiled.

Victor continued talking with Evelyn.

The discussion moved from the guest list to the venue, then to the ceremony, the reception, and even what families should be invited.

Lillian slowly realized that her parents had already accepted Adrian.

There was no shouting.

No rejection.

No dramatic confrontation.

They simply wanted to make sure she was making the right choice.

And surprisingly, Adrian remained beside her through all of it.

Lillian glanced at him.

He noticed.

“What?”

She shook her head.

“Nothing.”

He smiled.

For the first time, the idea of marrying him didn’t feel completely strange.

It was sudden.

Unexpected.

Complicated.

But perhaps that was why she couldn’t stop looking at him.

Across from them, Evelyn suddenly said,

“What about the wedding date?”

Victor thought for a moment.

“We’ll discuss it with the Sterling family.”

Lillian’s eyes widened again.

Adrian looked at her.

They both remained speechless.

Their parents continued planning.

And the two people at the center of the entire conversation could only sit quietly and listen as their families began arranging a wedding neither of them had expected to happen so soon.
