Alex had been crying, he had been crying on Tiffen’s back, he did not know why or how.

After school had ended Tiffen had came to collect him, and along side that Alex had vowed against Cleo, and then passed out.

“Alex are you alright? Did something happen at school today?” Tiffen said, she still had Alex on her back, and was still climbing up the hill that led to there house.

Noticing Alex’s soft heart and rivers of tears

Tiffen had to ask to make sure of it, Alex poke softly his gaze was short and thin;

“It’s nothing…” He said, his body and soul wanted to shout out in pain for some reason but he did not know why, he did not know how, he didn’t know at all.

The night grew as the sun was almost all gone, Cael was nowhere, his thoughts where sidelined and his actions where on hold.

Nothing about

Cael made sense, but he was slipping, he didn’t feel real anymore, he had lived as Alex for quite some time but slowly he was loosing himself.

He cried more, and more, nothing happened, nothing made seance, nothing grew, as he felt like the idle state of existing, was..

Nothing.

“Are you sure, Alex? If something happened there I can always teach you, or Roland could look into different schools outside of the village, it wouldn’t be a pain if that’s what you wanted..” Tiffen said, she was debating whether or not to stop walking and clam Alex down or to keep walking with him on her back.

she didn’t really know, but she continued to walk forwards, Alex didn’t say anything, nothing Alex wanted to say sounded right, Nothing was growing stronger.

**************************************************************************************

Nothing else had happened with there walk, Alex had stayed quite, Tiffen felt she overstepped, and Alex quelled his emotions.

By now the two of them had made it home, Tiffen started to cook up dinner and Alex went to his room, Roland was also home early.

Eveline and Tiffen where in the kitchen, while Roland was sitting at the table with two books open side by side.

When Tiffen and Alex had first arrived, Alex had walked through all the questions and went straight to his room.

atmosphere was left empty as worry spread.

Dread was slowly creeping through the household, but Alex was silent, no crying, no screaming, nothing in his room moved, and nothing had made a sound, this only furthered the dread Alex’s family where feeling.

Inside Alex’s room, was..

Well a typical room to say the least, he had a few books by his bedside he had never read.

A small cupboard of clothes tucked in the corner, a bed that was fit for a child shoved into another corner and an open window with blinds.

This was the humble room of

Alex, plain, still, and quite, whether that was a good or bad thing at his age was unknown.

Still, his room was plain by design, he didn’t want anything to impose on his time alone in his room.

And there had been many attempts from Eveline to try and decorate his room, but he normally turned them all down.

Closing the door behind him Alex walked the small distance in the room, jumping up and laying down on the bed.

The window was open and the small blinds blew in and out of his room, with a deep sigh Alex shifted his weight across the bed.

His hands trailed the hinges of the window slowly pulling them inwards, with a delicate sigh he shut the windows against the fame and latched the small lock.

Rolling over to his side while on the bed, the blinds and thin fabric now enclosed in the still room stopped waving around so aggressively and sat still.

Cael was nowhere, Alex was everywhere.

Somewhere after passing out Cael had handed over control to Sub-Alex, Cael had thought nothing of it..

I mean why would he?

It wasn’t his fault, right?

He would normally come back into consciousness, if something big or if his name was called, something along those lines.

But he didn’t, Sub-Alex started to cry and cry, and Cael would normally take over for this moment, but he couldn’t.

Something had stopped him from taking over again, so he slowly faded away, he watched Sub-Alex slowly get carried on Tiffen’s back, dull-fully walk past his parents, and now lay on his bed.

Cael wasn’t here, the last time he was alive in the body of Alex was when he cursed out Cleo, everything after that had went to ruins.

From his passing out, to Sub-Alex somehow taking control, to his cold shoulder of his parents, to even his lack of empathy.

It had all gone to ruins. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

All of it.

“Alex… Dinners ready..” Roland said, followed by two sequential knocks on the wooden door, Roland had been standing just outside of Alex’s room.

“May I come in Alex? Do you, want-to talk?” Roland didn’t know, he didn’t know that the Alex he knew was Cael, and Cael was Alex, alongside Cael and therefore Alex, being out since Sub-Alex was there.

No thoughts bucketed Alex’s mind, pure plain, Nothingness.

He rolled up his legs and curled himself into a small ball on his bed, his arms wrapping around his legs and his face buried in his knees.

A small, but bearable voice that came form Alex; “yes…” His voice was soft, and

Roland standing outside of the door didn’t know if the ‘yes’ meant he wanted to talk or if he was allowed in.

Roland in all his confused manner, turned to Eveline who was down the hallway watching, she nodded, Roland nodded, and with a breath Roland had readied himself.

Without much force the door was pushed open, Roland then slipped into Alex’s room, closing the door behind him, Roland had then found a spot on the ground crossing his legs as he sat down; “So you wanted to talk about something with me? What can I do to help?”

Roland added, he was watching Alex’s every move, something was off and

Roland could feel it.

This wasn’t Alex, not even close to the Alex he knew.

For starters Roland noticed his mana had been leaking, and it was also being tinted black, Roland had knew about Alex’s black gate.

He had also read up a lot on such matters, and it was fine as long as the mana wasn’t being corrupted, Roland had noticed this time and time again.

Alex’s mana was pure, then it would tint and slowly tint again, but it would always recover before it got serious, but now was different, his mana was almost at the point of being fully corrupted, and it seemed

Sub-Alex knew of this well.

“My mana, it’s getting more black isn’t it?” Alex said, he seemed to know of this, even though it was impossible for Alex to posses such and ability to see mana.

Alongside it being an ability, only three people in the entire town had such a power, Roland, Cleo, and an Elder from the great library of the tree.

Roland’s eyes shot back at the sudden jab of a question, Roland was confused, even more shocked, but there was no point in hiding it any longer,

Roland said aloud closing his eyes; “Yes, yes it is.. It’s your gate, it happens sometimes but you normally overcome it before anything to bad happens, that’s why I haven’t told you, since it would make you worry. But how did you know? Did Cleo tell you?”
