As the final beautiful piano chord vibrated through the air and slowly dissolved against the rustic brick walls, the entire restaurant remained dead silent for one perfect breathless moment.
Then, the bistro erupted as the guests broke into enthusiastic applause with several people at the bar cheering loudly.
An elderly Italian gentleman nodded warmly at Peter, raising his wine glass in a silent toast of respect.
But Peter didn’t see any of them.
He only saw Rogue, who was already standing up from the booth, her eyes bright and filled with an overwhelming wave of affection as she walked straight toward the piano.
As the final notes of the piano dissolved into the rustic brick walls of the bistro, Rogue didn’t hesitate.
She stepped up towards Peter, her emerald eyes bright with a mixture of overwhelming affection and pure joy.
Before Peter could even slide back his hands from the keys, Rogue leaned down, cupped his face in her bare hands and gave him a passionate kiss right in front of the cheering crowd.
For a breathless second, the restaurant seemed to completely fade away as Peter’s arms wrapped tightly around her waist.
The bistro patrons erupted into an even louder chorus of cheers and whistles and the elderly Italian couple clapped enthusiastically at the beautiful scene.
When they finally broke apart, both of them were breathless and smiling like idiots.
Wanting to escape the sudden spotlight, Peter quickly grabbed his coat and left a generous tip on the table.
They left the bistro for a quiet hand in hand stroll under the city lights.
The cool night air of the city hit their faces, a refreshing contrast to the warm candlelit restaurant.
Their bare fingers remained tightly intertwined, swinging gently between them as they walked past the glowing storefronts and towering skyscrapers in silence.
For the first time in either of their complicated lives, the weight of being heroes, mutants or corporate targets didn’t matter.
They were just two young people completely captivated by each other.
The neon glow of the city began to soften into the quiet hues of midnight as they finally reached the coffee shop near Central Park.
Peter stopped near the edge of the park’s stone walkway, turning to face her.
“I had an amazing time tonight, Rogue” Peter said, his voice soft as he looked up into her green eyes.
His hand was still holding hers, his thumb gently rubbing the back of her bare knuckles.
“I’ll call you tomorrow.
Let’s do this again soon.
Somewhere even better”.
Rogue’s smile was absolutely radiant.
She leaned down, giving him one last, lingering kiss on the cheek that left his ears burning red.
“You better call me, Peter Parker” she purred, her southern drawl thick and happy.
“Otherwise, I might just have to fly back to Queens and track you down myself”.
With a final cheerful wave, Rogue returned from her date floating subtly into the night sky to make her way back upstate.
The next morning in the X-Mansion, the X-men’s students were completely stunned by what they saw in the kitchen.
The sun had barely risen over Westchester but Rogue was already downstairs in the mansion’s kitchen and she is practically floating on air.
She is wearing a bright summer dress with no gloves in sight and was loudly humming the melody that they do not recognize while flipping a massive stack of blueberry pancakes.
Kitty Pryde walked into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes and froze mid-step.
She stared at Rogue then slowly turned her head to look at Jubilee, who had just wandered in wearing mismatched pajamas.
“Okay, am I dreaming or is Rogue actually acting weird” Jubilee whispered, rubbing her eyes in disbelief.
“And since when does she start humming songs while making breakfast?”.
“Good morning, girls!” Rogue said energetically while spinning around with a spatula in her hand.
Her face lit up with a brilliant unstoppable grin.
“Pancakes is almost ready!
Help yourselves to the orange juice!”.
Jean Grey walked into the room holding a mug of coffee.
She took one look at Rogue’s vibrant glowing aura and Jean couldn’t help but smile.
She didn’t even need her telepathy to know how the night went as the pure unadulterated joy seem to radiate off Rogue was practically visual in everyone’s eyes.
“I take that the date went well?” Jean asked knowingly, taking a slow sip of her coffee.
“He was perfect” Rogue sighed happily, her eyes drifting toward the window as she thought of Peter.
“Absolutely perfect”.
Down the hall, Logan leaned against the door frame, chewing on an unlit cigar.
He looked at the glove-free laughing girl in the kitchen, then let out a rare gruff smile of his own.
Elsewhere in Parker’s residence.
Peter knows that he shouldn’t string the girls along any further, decided to tear the band-aid totally off.
So he decided to grouped-called Liz Allan, Gwen Stacy, and Mary Jane Watson at the same time.
The reaction on the other end of the line was instantaneous, unified and incredibly loud.
“Excuse me?!” Liz barked through the speaker.
“You’ve been playing Mr.
Melancholy for months and suddenly there’s someone else?
Who is that bitch?!”.
“Yeah, Peter, who is she?” Gwen chimed in, her usual polite tone replaced by a sharp competitive edge.
“Is she a classmate?
Someone from the lab?
Because I swear, if it’s that girl who borrows your notes…..”.
“Hold on, hold on” MJ interrupted, her voice dripping with dramatic disbelief.
“Peter, you’re telling me you passed on ‘this’ to go running after some new other girl?
What does she have that we don’t?”.
Peter broke into a nervous sweat, frantically loosening his collar.
“Please, it’s not like that!
We just fell in love!
She’s just…
different.
She really gets me.
And, uh, she’s from out of town.
Way upstate”.
“Upstate?
Like a farm girl?” Liz scoffed.
“Great.
Peter left us for a dairy maid”.
“Does she even know what a compound syllable is, Peter?” Gwen asked, sounding genuinely offended.
“I bet she doesn’t even read”.
“Girl!
Please” Peter stammered slightly “And she can…
fly.
Metaphorically!
She lifts my spirits!
Look, I’m sorry, I have to go!” He slammed the phone down, exhaling a massive breath of relief.
Surviving a mercenary squad was officially easier than handling a group call of angry love sticken teenage girls.
Trying to channel his energy into something productive, Peter started building Jessica Jones’ gear in basement.
He began weaving a specialized lightweight, flexible polymer alloy to make her bulletproof and fireproof clothing, while sketching out a sleek minimalist mask that avoided any ‘sexy female superhero’ clothing design.
He also integrated a high-frequency private listening device, a compact digital telescope and a grappling hook into a tactical utility belt.
As he worked, Uncle Ben noticed the difference in his nephew’s mood.
Peter was practically beaming while welding titanium plates.
Uncle Ben leaned against the workbench with a soft knowing smile on his face.
He was incredibly glad for Peter but the sight of his nephew so deeply in love triggered a sense of parental duty.
“You’re glowing, Pete” Uncle Ben joked, tapping the blueprints.
“Glad to see that brain of yours is focusing on something besides being a superhero.
But, uh…
since you’re seeing this young lady again…”.
Ben cleared his throat loudly, suddenly looking incredibly awkward.
He took a long moment as he nervously said.
“Look….
I always wanted to give you the…
talk.
Your father wasn’t around and I…..”.
“Oh, Uncle Ben!
Please!
No!…
Just no!” Peter groaned, hiding his face in his hands as he groan in horror.
“I read…
biology….
I know how human biology works”.
“Knowing the science…
and practicing it safely are two different things, son” Uncle Ben said with a nervous chuckle.
Standing up straight, he subtly reached into his pocket and slipped Peter a condom, sliding it across the workbench right next to Jessica’s blueprints.
“Just in case you need it.
Remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
And that applies to all areas of life”.
Peter stared at the little square foil packet utterly mortified, while Uncle Ben just winked and patted him on the back before quickly walked out of the garage.
Before leaving, Uncle Ben suddenly turn around said “Tell me if you need more”.
“….” Peter stared at Uncle Ben speechlessly in annoyance.
As the days goes by uneventfully in the superhero front, school was an absolute unmitigated nightmare for Peter.
Walking down the hallways felt like navigating a minefield as Liz and Gwen gave him the freezing cold shoulder as they whisper furiously whenever they walked past him.
The only saving grace was MJ, who even though was still mad with him, she still maintained close friendship with Peter.
She would occasionally bumping his shoulder and teasing him about his mysterious ‘dairy maid’ and try to obtain more ‘information’.
Even though Peter is anticipation a second date with Rogue.
Her sweet southern drawl through the receiver making Peter’s heart do flips whenever he heard her voice.
Several day later, the high-tech workshop inside Stark Tower was usually a sanctuary of rock songs and holographic blueprints but tonight it became a war zone.
“Alert.
Multiple unauthorized breaches detected in the main armory” Tony Stark’s AI, F.R.I.D.A.Y.
flashed red across his heads-up display.
Before Tony could even reach for his wrist gauntlet on his workbench, the reinforced glass window shattered inward.
Flying through the debris came Crimson Dynamo, his massive Soviet-engineered suit humming with raw electrical power.
Behind him, a swarm of AIM shock troops flooded the floor, firing plasma rifles to suppress the security droids.
“Get the armors!
Secure the vault!” barked a distorted chilling voice.
Floating into the room on a hover-chair was MODOK, his giant head pulsing with mental energy.
“Stark, your genius now belongs to ‘A.I.M'” MODOK sneered before blasting Tony with a psionic beam that sent him crashing into a workbench.
Struggling back to his feet, Tony watched in horror as the armory pods slid open as MODOK start overriding his systems.
Few second later under MODOK’s mental command, a large number of Iron Man armors were stolen as the armors stepping out of their bays and fly out into the night sky like an invading army.
Miles away, Peter Parker was in his room enjoying a quiet night when an alert from Homer voice came “Sir, we have a critical situation at Stark Tower” as Homer pull up a live perimeter feed around the skyscraper.
“Mr.
Stark’s facility is compromised.
Villains are plundering his technology”
“Plundering?
As in stealing the suits?!” Peter’s eyes widened.
“I’m on my way!” Peter quickly wore his Spider-man’s suit and quickly dove out of his window.
Peter fired a web-line toward a roof and using the momentum to rocket himself towards Stark Tower.
By the time Peter crashed through the broken window of the lab, Tony was cornered by Crimson Dynamo, his classic armor is sparking with leaking electricity and damages as he struggle to get back to his feet.
“Hey, giant tin can!
Let’s see how you handle this!” Peter yelled, firing a volley of web-grenades at Crimson Dynamo’s knee joints, locking the heavy armor in place.
“Hey!
Spider!
Watch out” Tony shouted.
MODOK fired his psionic beams toward Spider-man but Peter’s Spider-Sense buzz warn him as he flip over the mass head.
Peter landed right next to Tony, ripping a piece of heavy machinery off the wall to smash a group of AIM guards.
“Mr.
Stark, can you should down your suits through the mainframe!
They’re flying your suits away!”.
Suddenly, the heavy blast doors to the laboratory were blown open from the outside.
A tactical squad of heavily armed soldiers moved in with high-tech EMP dampeners, quickly forcing the AIM troops into a retreat.
MODOK seeing the tide turn, fired a parting blast.
“This is only the beginning, Stark!” he roared, hovering out into the sky with Crimson Dynamo flying away close behind him.
Tony let out a long sigh, expecting to see a friendly face under the tactical helmets.
“F.R.I.D.A.Y.
who authorized for the backup?”.
“We did, Mr.
Stark” a stern voice echoed.
A high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D.
commander stepped forward as tactical agents behind him began plugging their own data drives into Tony’s ruined servers.
Tony staggered forward, his armor sparking.
“S.H.I.E.L.D.?
What are your tech-agents doing in my mainframe?
Get off my servers!” The commander didn’t flinch.
“Director’s orders, Stark.
In light of the global security threat posed by your rogue technology, S.H.I.E.L.D.
has enacted emergency protocols.
We are officially taking control of your remaining tech-grid and defense protocols for the safety of the public”.
Tony stared at the S.H.I.E.L.D.
monitors, as they attempt to override his own encrypted code with their devices.
“You didn’t just come to help” Tony said, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
“You were waiting for an excuse to seize my life’s work”.
Peter stepped between Tony and the agents, looking back and forth uncomfortably.
“Uh, guys?
I hate to break up the party but there are dozens of fully armed Iron Man suits flying around New York right now under control of a giant headed villain.
We might want to fix that first”.
Peter didn’t wait around for a reply and the bureaucratic fireworks that is happening in front of him.
Peter shouted “I will deal with the armor”.
Leaving Tony to handle the S.H.I.E.L.D.
agents as he dove out of the shattered window of Stark Tower, plummeting into the neon-lit New York skyline.
“Homer, pinpoint the closest cluster of stolen suits!” Peter yelled over the rushing wind.
“Tracking twelve Iron Man armors heading toward the financial district” Homer responded.
Peter fired a web-line, swinging wildly through the concrete canyons of Manhattan buildings.
Up ahead, a squadron of empty glowing Iron Man suits flew in tight formation.
As soon as Peter closed the distance, their internal sensors locked onto him.
Three of the classic red-and-gold armors broke formation, turning around to unleash a barrage of repulsor blasts.
BLAM!
BLAM!
BLAM!
Peter’s Spider-Sense buzz.
He cut his web, sending himself free-falling past a beam of pure energy then shot two web-lines directly onto the faceplates of the twin armors.
“Sorry, Mr.
Stark.
I hope these have good return policy!” Peter yelled, as he pull with all his might to smash the two suits into each other.
The two suits tangled, lost altitude and crash safely onto an empty rooftop but the rest of the armada of armored suits kept flying away.
Peter leaped onto the back of a rogue stealth suit nearby and hitch a ride like a surf board as it rocketed across the city.
Meanwhile, back inside the ruined laboratory of Stark Tower, the tension was suffocating.
“Step away from the console, Stark” the S.H.I.E.L.D.
commander ordered, his hand resting on his sidearm.
“This technology is a matter of national security now”.
“You want my tech?
You should have asked nicely” Tony Stark muttered, a dangerous grin spreading across his face.
Despite his damaged primary armor, Tony slipped his hand under the desk and press a physical manual override switch that S.H.I.E.L.D.’s agent didn’t notice.
Tony completely overrode the S.H.I.E.L.D.
system overlays.
Every monitor in the room suddenly flashed with the Stark Industries gold logo, completely locking out the government agents.”What did you do?!” the commander snapped.
“I took back what is mine” Tony said as a hidden pod beneath the floorboards, rose into the room with a new pristine sleek Ironman armor.
It was his latest model ‘Mark VII prototype’.
With a metallic hiss, before the agents could react the suit opened up and enveloped Tony in seconds.
The eyes flared to life with brilliant blue energy.
Tony raised his repulsors, charging them with a deafening hum that sounded loudly across the room.
“This is private property and you are officially trespassing” Iron Man’s synthesized voice boomed, stepping forward with unstoppable force.
As Tony forced the S.H.I.E.L.D.
agents completely out of Stark Tower, his targeting systems locked onto them until the last agent backed into the elevator.
“This isn’t over, Stark!” the commander shouted as the doors closed.
“It is for tonight” Tony muttered, turning toward the open sky.
“F.R.I.D.A.Y.
Let’s go hunting”.
Across town, Peter managed to disable five more suits by webbing up their thrusters and ripping out their external battery cells but he was completely outnumbered as he chased the remaining armada across the East River.
“Is that for me?” Spider-Man yelled as a rogue War Machine armor locked its targeting reticle right onto his chest.
THWIP!
He shot a web line off a soaring crane using the momentum to catapult himself hundreds of feet into the air just as the first energy pulse detonated behind him, shattering windows and super heating the brickwork.
Mid-air, Peter twisted his body narrowly dodging another armor that attempt to grabbed him.
He fired a web-net, blinding the drone’s optics then used it as a stepping stone to vault himself toward another rogue automated Iron Man armor.
“Sorry, Mr.
Stark” Peter muttered, his Spider-Sense buzz as the armor’s repulsors locked onto him.
“but I am not going to pay for damages!”.
The armor unleashed a barrage of micro-missiles.
Peter didn’t flinch.
He dove flat against the side of a glass skyscraper, running horizontally as explosions bloomed in his wake.
With a sharp flick of both wrists, he fired twin lines at the armor’s shoulders.
Using the building’s edge as a fulcrum, Peter yanked hard pulling himself forward while launching the armor backward.
They collided in mid-air above Times Square.
In a display of pure fluid acrobatics, Peter spun around the chassis like a gymnast on a high bar.
With a precise high-pressure web-shot, he clogged another armor’s elbow joints and webbing the repulsor gauntlets before they could fire.
Landing squarely on the armor’s shoulders, he punch his fist through the back of the helmet.
With a stylish no-look rip, Peter tore out the central processor inside the helmet.
The armor he is holding went completely dark, as its components collapsing safely into a compact harmless briefcase format.
Peter caught the handle effortlessly, riding the momentum to web-swing gently onto a nearby rooftop just as Tony’s actual jet trail streaked across the upper atmosphere.
As Tony approached him, Peter said “Hey, Mr.
Stark.
You’re late.
I saved you some tech…
and a whole lot of property damage that i hope you are willing to pay”.
The briefcase armor was still warm to the touch when a deafening sonic boom rocked the rooftop.
Tony Stark plummeted from the sky, his gold-and-red boots skidding across the gravel before he stabilized, the faceplate of his armor sliding up to reveal an irritated expression.
“Tell me you didn’t scratch the paint, kid” Tony said, walking towards Peter.
Peter casually spun the collapsed nanotech briefcase on his finger like a basketball before catching it by the handle.
“Scratch it?
Mr.
Stark, I have done my best without destroying it to pieces”.
Tony retorted, snatching the briefcase.
“At least my suit is still much better compare to whatever you are wearing”.
Before Peter could fire back a witty comeback, MODOK above the sky above Central Park, laughing maniacally.
“You fools!
Nothing can stop us!”.
MODOK’s voice boomed through the city speakers.
“Phase two is online.
Behold the true power of the crimson tide!”.
From the reservoir below, a colossal heavily armored figure erupted dripping with water and glowing with unstable Soviet nuclear energy.
It was Crimson Dynamo, outfitted with stolen Stark repulsor and arc reactor while being flanked by a swarm of heavy-duty weaponized dreadnoughts.
Tony’s faceplate slammed shut instantly.
“Alright, playtime’s over.
MODOK’s got a giant head but apparently an even bigger inferiority complex”.
“Need backup?” Peter asked, crouching down ready to spring into action.
“Negative, I deal with the big guys” Tony’s voice echoed through his external speakers as his thrusters flared to maximum yield.
“They need a lesson in intellectual property theft.
You deal with the minions, minimize the damages and protect the civilians”.
“Fine, but don’t come begging for my help!” Peter yelled over the roar of the engines.
“Never will!” Tony shouted back, breaking the sound barrier as he streaked directly towards MODOK and Crimson Dynamo to engage them.
Tony Stark’s visor flared to life, a cascading waterfall of warnings painted his vision with flashing amber light.
His arc reactor thrummed heavily against his chest, working overtime to counter the electromagnetic distortion radiating from Crimson Dynamo.
Crimson Dynamo chassis had been warped into a colossal misshapen monolith of Soviet-era plating.
The armor was bloated, its seams leaking a sickening unstable green-white luminescence of raw nuclear energy and arc reactors.
Worse, grafted crudely onto his massive figure were Stark repulsor boosters whining with high-pitched intensity.
“Stark!” Dynamo’s voice boomed through a faulty external speaker, distorted by the erratic radiation pouring from his chest piece.
“Your tech belongs to the state now!
The glory of the new dawn!”.
Floating just above Dynamo suspended by an anti-gravity chair that crackled with psionic energy is M.O.D.O.K.
His disproportionately massive cranium tilted forward, the tiny vestigial limbs twitching as the giant ruby lens on his forehead began to glow.
“Kill him, Bukharin!” M.O.D.O.K.
rasped, his voice a digitized chorus of pure cold intellect.
“The probability of Stark’s surrender is zero.
The probability of his annihilation under our combined force is eighty nine point eight percent.
Focus on the core.
I will shatter his consciousness”.
“FRIDAY, talk to me” Tony said, his voice tight as he leveled his palms, the repulsors whining to maximum charge.
“What are we looking at?”.
“The Dynamo’s reactor is redlining, Boss” FRIDAY’s synthetic voice chimed in his ear.
“Those stolen arc reactor are overriding his safety perimeters.
If he hits peak critical mass, the blast radius takes out three zip codes.
Also, we have other problems”.
A massive swarm of heavy-duty weaponized dreadnoughts-M.O.D.O.K.’s custom hunter-killers deployed their landing gears, targeting the panicked crowds sprinting into the subways below.
“Not so fast, Terminator!” Peter yelled over loud noises.
Spider-Man swung from a traffic light, anchoring a web-line to a falling piece of masonry and hurling it directly into the optics of the lead dreadnought.
The drone spiraled before exploding against an empty billboard.
Peter propelled himself into the thick of the swarm firing a web-barrage that bound the rotor blades of two dreadnoughts together, sending them crashing into a vacant construction lot.
He flipped through the air, catching a falling civilian with a web-line lasso and gently depositing them behind a barricade.
“Lets do it!” Tony yelled without having any time to watch Spider-man work his magic.
Crimson Dynamo roared, the stolen Stark boosters igniting with a violent unstable burst of blue flame that propelled his massive bulk forward at impossible speeds.
A colossal nuclear-charged fist slammed into Ironman’s chest, sending the Iron Man armor skipping across the asphalt like a stone over water.
Before Tony could stabilize himself, a beam of pure psionic agony shot from M.O.D.O.K.’s headband, striking him square in the chest.
Tony screamed as his brain felt like it was being microwaved.
The HUD flickered violently, static washing over FRIDAY’s diagnostics.
“Stark’s neuro-pathways are fracturing” M.O.D.O.K.
calculated aloud, hovering closer.
“Dynamo, crush the shell”.
Dynamo raised both massive hands, the stolen repulsors on his forearms glowing violently as he prepared to discharge a nuclear blast point-blank.
“Not today, big guy” Tony gritted out through clenched teeth.
He overrode his own safety limits, shunting 200% power to his chest piece.
“Uni-beam…
fire!”.
A blinding torrent of pure light erupted from Tony’s chest, striking Dynamo dead center.
The force slammed the colossal giant backward into a brick wall, the stolen Stark boosters sputtering and smoking under the feedback loop.
“Spider-Man, I need a distraction on the big head!” Tony shouted, his thrusters coughing as he tried to regain altitude.
“One headache, coming up!” Peter yelled.
Avoided a barrage of laser fire from a dreadnought as he launched himself off a skyscraper wall, webbed a discarded city bus door and spun it like a discus.
The heavy metal sheet flew true as it strike M.O.D.O.K.
right in his massive ruby headband lens cracking it and disrupting his psionic focus.
M.O.D.O.K.
shrieked, his anti-grav chair wobbling erratically as he gripped his temples.
“You insect!”.
“Hey, who you calling insect?” Spider-Man quipped, dropping down to catch a falling concrete pillar with both hands, straining as he redirected it away from a group of fleeing paramedics towards the dreadnought.
With M.O.D.O.K.
temporarily blinded, Tony turned his full attention to the glowing titan rebuilding momentum in the rubble.
Dynamo’s armor was leaking heavy radiation now, the green glow pulsing in a rapid catastrophic rhythm.
“The Soviet core is failing, Boss” Friday warned.
“Thirty seconds until total meltdown”.
“Then we end this now” Tony said.
He flew straight toward Dynamo, weaving through a desperate barrage of missile fire.
He didn’t aim for the faceplate or the chest.
Instead, he targeted the stolen tech.
Tony slid low across the cracked pavement, his laser cutters flaring from his wrists.
With surgical precision, he sliced through the crude wiring connecting the stolen Stark’s repulsors to Dynamo’s nuclear core.
Without the Stark parts to vent the excess energy, the armor start backfiring instantly.
“What have you done?!” Dynamo bellowed as the blue energy turned inward, short-circuiting his own mechanical skeleton.
“Taking back my property” Tony snapped.
He grabbed the central power coupling on Dynamo’s neck, using his armor’s internal siphon to drain the rogue energy out of the Soviet reactor and directly into the Iron Man batteries.
The glowing green luminescence dimmed, fading back into a dull harmless grey steel.
The colossal Dynamo groaned, the heavy armor locking up completely as its systems went totally dark collapsing forward into the pavement with a heavy metallic thud.
Hovering above, M.O.D.O.K.
stabilized his chair, his cracked lens sparking.
He looked at the unconscious Dynamo, then at Tony whose armor was now brimming with redirected energy and finally at Spider-Man who had just systematically dismantled the last of the dreadnought swarm into a neat pile of scrap metal.
“Tactical retreat is the only logical outcome” M.O.D.O.K.
droned.
His chair fired its secondary thrusters, launching him backward into the upper atmosphere before Tony could fire a tracking beacon.
Tony landed heavily next to the neutralized Dynamo, his armor sighing as it vented excess heat.
Spider-Man dropped down from a street lamp, landing lightly on his feet and dusting off his hands.
“Well, nobody died, the radiation is contained, and you only captured one villain.
I call that a win”.
Tony flipped his faceplate up, offering a tired but genuine smirk to the young hero.
“Nice work out there, kid.
Especially with the bus door”.
“Thanks” Spider-Man smiled under his mask, looking around the messy but safe intersection.
“So…
who’s paying for the damages?”.
