Moisture started to form in the mouth. The glands of the giant Titan’s mouth opened, and saliva—like a flood after a dam gate has opened—started to fill the space.
The lips of the Titan closed, and the teeth that had been blasted by Mikasa when she made her heroic entry into the Titan’s mouth started to regenerate.
Within seconds, the mouth was full of a mouthful of Titan saliva.
Mikasa looked around, trying to find a way to break out of this dangerous situation.
Looking at the glands producing the saliva, she thought, Is he going to kill me by drowning me in Titan saliva inside this mouth?
Now she was fully submerged in the saliva. My swords and blades are also broken.
What should I do? Is Eren really going to kill me like that? Then why didn’t he kill me before when he had two chances? I can’t tell what you are thinking anymore, Eren... maybe I never could.
But even if she was going to die, she couldn't die like this. She clenched her fist. Dying was one thing, but dying by drowning in spit was too humiliating.
She pulled one hand back and grabbed a tooth to steady herself with the other.
With a swing that created a sharp cut through the fluid, her punch—heavy, like three times that of a normal adult—landed on the tooth.
But it was no use. There wasn’t even a scratch on the surface of the giant white tooth.
Yet she still didn’t stop. One after another, heavy punches that could make mush of a normal man, or were enough to kill a sun bear, landed on the sturdy tooth wall.
Eren, watching all this from inside the crystal, raised an eyebrow. Looking at her actions and expressions, he understood that Mikasa thought he was trying to kill her by drowning her in saliva.
Although I have some taste in plays, I am not that twisted of a player to kill someone by drowning them in spit.
Though the idea is tempting, I'm not sure to what extent the original Eren can control this body, and if he interferes with the powers, things will become tricky.
When I watched the anime, I didn’t feel much about her choices when she chose to kill Eren to save the world.
I even felt a bit of sympathy when she was crying beneath the tree beside Eren’s grave. But now that I am in his place, all of that seems so absurd. Like hell, crying? It was your choice.
You chose good over evil, the world over him, and you became the hero by slaying the villainous dragon.
And now, you are shedding tears? Well, I don’t know who said this, but now I feel like women really are made of water.
Putting aside his thoughts regarding the choices and tears of the woman in front of him, he contracted the muscles of his mouth.
With ease, he folded his Titan tongue, and with a soft pressure against the upper cavity, he created a vacuum and spat her out of his mouth along with the saliva.
Mikasa, airborne, looked around and became astonished again. Her mind froze this time.
What is going on? He spat me out? This... what is this? This was the first time she had ever seen a Titan spit someone out like that, let alone when the person in question was her.
She gazed at the massive face, the angle changing with every second—from nose, to lips, to chin.
With her descending angle, the face in front of her started to become smaller.
Due to all the mist and steam in the air, only the outline of the face could be seen. And those eyes—large, green eyes which, unknown to her, had started to glow green—gazed back at her.
Eren, inside the Titan’s mouth, looked at the falling Mikasa.
There was not a single ripple of emotion in his eyes.
Falling is falling; what does she have to do with me? I know I can’t kill her directly, so what about breaking her gear and spitting her from meters above? Falling from this height, even if a single bone in her body remains intact after touching the ground, it would truly be a miracle.
Now that she is done for, I need to focus on the problem at hand.
His glowing eyes looked at the giant in front of him. His eyes focused even more than before when they locked with the blue eyes that seemed deprived of sleep for years, and that bald head that looked like a skull because it was a skull.
The air became stagnant.
Armin, inside the Colossal Titan, felt his heart skip a beat when he looked at the long-eared Titan with long hair cascading at the shoulders. Something is wrong.
Although his voice was timid, no one could deny the seriousness behind his words.
He had known Eren longer than he could remember, and he could see the change in him slightly more accurately than anyone else. Something has changed. But what? He watched as Eren’s Titan spat something out,
but before he could focus, a large punch—bigger than hills, with knuckles covered in an ice-like crystal—started magnifying right in front of his face.
His eyes shrank. He tried to lift his hands to take the impact, but it was too late.
The punch landed squarely on his face. Half of the face caved in at a visible rate, and flesh and gore scattered into the air.
Armin tried to grab the hand, but Eren—as if predicting he would do that—took a step back.
To an outside observer, it seemed like a normal adult’s speed, but Armin’s eyes widened in horror.
As a Titan himself, he knew the actual speed of a Titan. To normal eyes from afar, they seemed slower than normal people, but for a body that large, its smallest movements covered much more distance and mass than a normal person ever could.
If a Titan with the same or even bigger size than him could move as easily as a normal adult, it could not be described as anything less than a nightmare.
And for Armin, that nightmare was standing right in front of him.
With one step and a punch, I reshaped the ugly face of the Colossal Titan in front of me.
Well, my Titan face is also a work of art, but hey, there is no mirror—otherwise, I'd have to curse myself first before saying the Titan in front of me has an ugly face.
But this feeling of reshaping a face with one punch is really exhilarating.
Eren watched as the shoulders of Armin’s Colossal Titan trembled, and the muscles on the biceps started to contract.
From my vast experience in hand-to-hand combat in the military's special anti-terrorist force, I deduced that he is going to try to seize my hand for a shoulder flip or a bone dislocation, which, as a Titan, could tear my hand apart if used with his weight and both arms on his chest.
So, I took a step back to keep my distance before he could succeed, and assumed a boxing stance.
The long black hair fell in front of his eyes, giving him a gloomy look but also annoying his vision.
Using both hands, he grabbed his front hair between his thumb and ring finger, sweeping it past his temples and ears to tie it into a ponytail.
He took his boxing stance once again.
