When the object in the sky became clearer to see, I spotted its beast-like features and two wings spanning meters in length.
This must be the Jaw Titan. I guessed this from the memories of my previous life, because although Eren had faced him in battle before, my recollection of this body's memories hadn't reached that far yet.
It could be a nuisance,
but it isn't a big problem for me, I thought as I observed the flying beast in the sky.
At this moment, if Armin wanted to, he could attack me. But after receiving a few one-shot lesson classes just a few seconds ago, Armin didn't have the confidence to do so.
So, I simply focused on the nuisance in the sky.
However, the thing that annoyed me more wasn't that someone was flying over my head, but rather the people riding on its back.
Is she the reincarnation of a cockroach or something? I looked at the figure of Mikasa sitting on the back of the Jaw Titan.
She didn't died even from the fall so high, jaw titan must had rescued her in the mid air, what a pity. if she had died from that fall, that would have solved the problem of that simp trying to control me beacuse of her.
Eren thought, but he didn't now that jaw titan was not the one who rescued her, he himself had spit her out on the back of jaw titan, which also created an image of him worrying for Mikasa, in Mikasa's heart.
Her hair was messy, and her clothes were torn in a few patches—damage caused when I used the bone spikes to shatter her ODM gear.
She was drenched wet from head to toe. what she's thinks about it, knowing that she is drenched in my body fluid, would that sound too lewd?
Cough. I shouldn't be thinking about that right now. This all are just this body's thoughts, right, it's all that perverted simp Eren's fault, dame Eren you pervert.
If Eren could heard that he is damping all his dirt on him would he start another rumbling, well it's not the question for now.
right now, Mikasa had just tried to take my head a few minutes ago. Sigh, beauty really is a cause of disaster for men.
Retracting my gaze from the killer beauty, my eyes fell upon the other person sitting beside her.
So, he is Levi.
I thought as I looked at the black-haired, dead-eyed figure sitting on the back of the Jaw Titan.
He had bandages wrapped all over his body, and his shirt was torn off. I didn't remember his clothes being damaged quite like this in the final battle, but that was an anime and this is reality, so it makes much more sense that clothes get ruined when you are fighting monsters like titans.
Although Levi is strong, at this moment he is heavily injured, and Mikasa lacks her ODM gear. These people are nothing but mosquitoes in front of this giant body body of mine. But like every other mosquito, they are also highly annoying.
Watching Eren look at her—or more precisely, watching Eren look at the Jaw Titan as a whole—Mikasa, having been spared by him three times in a row, couldn't help but feed her own imagination.
To her, those green eyes were looking at her, but for what? Were those eyes looking at her with longing or sorrow? Or perhaps something even worse that she didn't even want to think about: disappointment.
If those eyes were looking at her with hatred or something similar, she could have endured it, albeit with pain. But these green eyes were full of a strangeness that one directs toward a complete stranger, along with a vivid depth of disappointment.
Generally at a time like this, sitting on the back of the Jaw Titan, Mikasa wouldn't be able to hide her sorrow and gloom while watching two lifelong friends fight like this.
She knew how much Eren cared for Armin—the fights he had gotten into, the times he had stood up for Armin, and how he had opposed everyone and anyone for their sake.
But her mind was in complete turmoil, and she couldn't think of anything else at this moment besides guessing what those eyes saw her as now.
Yet, she remembered her decision and her choice.
Everything seemed to have changed from then on. She still carried that question Eren had asked when they infiltrated Marley.
What if... what if she had confessed her true feelings then? Would today's outcome be different? An image of them being together just like when they were children came to her mind—an image of Eren taking her hand in his and pulling her toward the tree on the hill with a smile full of happiness.
But then, the image of Eren inside the Titan's mouth overlapped that smiling face.
Now, those eyes held gloom, sorrow, guilt, and disappointment. Just remembering the look Eren had inside that crystal cocoon before he threw her out—she couldn't forget it.
That look made it seem like he was staring at someone who meant absolutely nothing to him.
Like... like a passer-by …, she thought, choking up in her throat before she could even finish the thought. Why, Eren, why? Just hate me or resent me, but please stop looking at me with those eyes.
It seemed God had received her request, as Eren shifted his gaze toward Levi sitting beside her. Seeing that he was no longer staring at her, she took a deep breath and loosened her grip on the Titan's fur, which she had unknowingly clenched so tightly that her nails had pierced her own palms.
I retracted my gaze from the flying beast.
Now my mind was clearer than before, and I had made my decision. I couldn't continue this madness. I poured my consciousness inside my body, and like an instinct, my awareness moved into an open space of infinite sand stretching as far as the eye could see. I didn't see Ymir even after looking around, but without any trouble, I reached the tree that was glowing fiercely, as if made of pure light.
With just a thought, I could feel the consciousness of all the Titans moving across the world. Then, with a single command, all the Wall Titans across the globe halted their steps.
The Rumbling had stopped.
just as when the titans in a city full of rubble and fire, was about to take another step, A giant foot was about to crash a weeping mother, who has fallen on ground during the panic, holding a small child.
the gigantic leg stopped in mid motion in the air, feeling the heat coming, she took her child and started running.
Same scene can be seen in all over the world, with different clothes, skin or race but same scene is playing all those places in different ways but same outcome, Titans stopped moving.
The Titans around me also stopped moving, but I noticed that the Titans created by the glowing centipede releasing that mysterious gas are still moving and attacking the armoured and female titan.
I didn't think much of it; since I couldn't control the main ancient Titans from the start, being unable to control the ones created by the glowing centipede was not much off of my expectations.
I decided to tell everyone that the Rumbling had stopped.
I myself hadn't wanted to fight the people in front of me from the beginning; if they weren't entirely fixed on killing me, I wouldn't harm them. So, if the fight could be stopped, that would be for the best.
Although they were enemies who had tried to kill me, I could let them go this time, but only for this time, let's the karma of this body would be settled from now on.
And the goal for which they were fighting had been achieved, anyway.
The Rumbling had stopped.
But this scene portrayed an entirely different picture in Armin's mind. What's happening? Why did all these Titans stop? Is Eren trying to do something else? Does he have another move left in his arsenal? Why has the Rumbling stopped?! His heartbeat started to quicken.
When Armin was trying to understand the reason behind the stopped Rumbling, Eren tried to contact the Eldians through the Founding Titan's connection. But to his shock, despite the feeling that he could do it, he wasn't able to connect.
It was like knowing how to use a phone, but finding out it has a password or a messy UI that prevents you from operating it.
So, he decided to emerge from his Titan form and explain that he wasn't going to continue the Rumbling. Although it was risky, he was sure they would hesitate to attack him, allowing him to converse in that brief moment and explain his actions and decision.
Just as Eren stepped back and created some distance from Armin, the flesh on his Titan's chest started to sink in and then spread apart. Eren, inside his crystal cocoon, came into view.
Watching the open chest of the Titan and Eren emerging, Armin's mind buzzed. He remembered that when Eren originally took that monstrous, rib-cage Titan form, all the Wall Titans had also been standing still inside the large walls. Could it be that Eren was trying to take that form again?
Looking at Eren coming out of the Titan's chest, his conjecture became even more solid. Armin, with his sharp mind, concluded that Eren was trying to manifest that giant form once more, and that these were the requirements for it.
