“Little bastard, where’s my shipment?”

There was a hint of cruelty beneath the ferocity in his tone.

In this dark alley, two groups stood facing each other, weapons at the ready. Tension hung thick in the air.Full novel: Transmigrated into a Book and Became the Wife of the Main Villain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But on closer inspection, one side remained calm, showing no fear at all of the burly, vicious-looking figures across from them. They simply held their weapon lightly, swinging it with an almost teasing air of provocation.

“Damn it! Kill these little bastards for me!”

Boss Xiong couldn’t contain himself. He signaled his men to attack and joined the fray himself, wielding a hammer weighing several kilograms.

Chaos erupted. Screams of pain and agony pierced the air, each louder than the last.

Gradually, more and more people fell to the ground. The dark earth was stained with blood, though the grime made it hard to tell.

The battle ended after five minutes. Fang Jingshan chewed on a piece of grass he had pulled up and slowly walked over, stepping on the face of Boss Xiong—the one who had been shouting “little bastard”—and rubbed it, a wicked smile curling on his lips.

“What’s the matter? The little bastard isn’t talking now?”

“Mmm… mmm…”

The man’s eyes were red as he struggled. Fang Jingshan stomped again without hesitation, forcing a mouthful of blood from him. He nearly fainted.

“I thought you were tough.”

Seeing this, Fang Jingshan found it boring. He kicked the man aside with a thud.

“Brother, what should we do with these people?”

At that moment, Fang Jingshan’s expression changed. Smiling, he stepped closer to ask, only now noticing a tall figure leaning quietly in a shadowed corner, calmly observing the chaos.

“Throw them at the police station’s gate.”

Jiang Sinian said casually, making no further move, though his gaze rested on the alley entrance.

Fang Jingshan obeyed, secretly enjoying the misfortune of these men who had dared provoke Jiang Sinian. He gestured for the remaining men to drag the moaning, injured men one by one toward the alley entrance.

It was only then that Fang Jingshan noticed the person standing there all along.

Immediately, the scoundrel grin disappeared from his face. He instinctively looked toward Jiang Sinian.

Catching his gaze, Jiang Sinian raised an eyebrow, voice ambiguous: “What are you staring at?”

“Y-Yes, yes, I’m going, I’m going!”

Fang Jingshan increased the force of his dragging, and as he passed the figure at the alley entrance, he muttered softly, “Sister-in-law,” before disappearing quickly.

The other men followed suit, eager to leave. Only the unfortunate injured men suffered more, their heads striking the uneven, stone-strewn ground and some losing consciousness.

Once quiet returned, Jiang Sinian still made no move, but Ye Shizhi knew he was observing her.

Similarly, she studied the original owner’s partner—Jiang Sinian.

The alley was dimly lit, but she could still make out his sharp features. His face was angular and handsome, with distinct, chiseled lines.

Beneath thick eyebrows were deep, black eyes, calm but piercing. His tall, slender frame was powerful yet not rough, like a beast ready to strike.

Even in a vintage-looking outfit, his aura was undeniable, exuding danger beneath the surface.

“I’m pregnant!”

Ye Shizhi knew if she didn’t speak, he wouldn’t talk to her. But once she said it, the man froze, disbelief wiping away his usual coldness.

She knew this news would shock the twenty-year-old young man, but compared to him, she had it worse.

Not only had she transmigrated, but she had also ended up in the worst possible situation.

“This is the result from the hospital, it’s already been a month.”

Ye Shizhi silently pulled out the document the original owner had gotten from the hospital not long ago. Jiang Sinian approached slowly, the pressure emanating from him growing.

The document was snatched away, then returned a few seconds later.

Above her, the boy’s hoarse voice said, “Go pack your things at your place. We’ll live together.”

Ye Shizhi had already intended to do this, so she folded the paper quietly.

Thinking she disagreed, Jiang Sinian grabbed her shoulders, eyes blazing red, teeth gritted: “Ye Shizhi, if you dare abort this child, I swear I’ll kill you!”

Startled, Ye Shizhi dropped the document, trembling as she looked at him.

Seeing her reaction, Jiang Sinian’s rationality returned slightly. His tone softened, but remained cold: “I want this child.”

His gaze pierced her, making Ye Shizhi feel fear despite knowing he wouldn’t harm her.

“Mm, got it.”

After a long pause, she responded.

No need for him to say it—she would definitely keep the child, after all, he was the little antagonist of this story.

But now that she was here, she didn’t intend for the child to become a tragic little antagonist. She would raise him properly.

If Jiang Sinian knew that someone so small, delicate, and soft had ever thought like this, he would probably try to kill her on the spot.

“Follow me.”

Jiang Sinian walked a short distance and noticed she was still standing there in a daze.

Ye Shizhi instinctively took small steps to follow, keeping a few paces behind, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible.

Seeing her timid posture, Jiang Sinian said nothing. His gaze lingered on her belly a moment longer before moving on.

As they approached familiar ground, Ye Shizhi let out a sigh of relief—only to be pushed against a wall the next second. Fortunately, he restrained his force and didn’t hurt her.

Even so, Ye Shizhi was unnerved, looking at the exquisitely handsome face so close to hers.

Jiang Sinian bent slightly, one hand above her head, and mocked: “You used to shout about going back to your parents’ house with so much confidence… and now you’ve learned to shrink back?”

“Ye Shizhi, if I find out you’re plotting anything, I’ll tie you up in a room until you give birth to my son!”

His voice was cold, merciless, and threatening.

Ye Shizhi sighed internally, knowing he was worried she might secretly abort the child. The original owner’s mistakes, she bore them—how tragic.

Gathering her courage, she tried to speak: “Jiang Sinian, I know I was selfish before. I apologize, I’m sorry. Let’s live peacefully from now on and raise the child properly, okay?”

She said this without confidence, afraid he’d think she was scheming again.
