The sky gradually grew darker.
Yan Shaoyu and the others settled down in a corner of the lounge, planning to spend the night there.
Bai Zixi took two chocolate bars out of her backpack and handed one to Zhu Rui, who was sitting beside her.
“Brother Rui, here you go.”
Zhu Rui felt a warmth in his heart as he accepted the chocolate. “Zixi, thank you.”
The system notification sounded.

“Zixi, I want some chocolate too.” Yu Haoran, a refined-looking young man, glanced at the remaining chocolate in her hand and spoke gently, teasing her a little.
Han Shuo’s voice followed. “Zixi, I’m hungry too.”
He wanted to give it a try as well. Who knew? Maybe he would get some chocolate too.
Mo Yanfeng looked completely indifferent. He was a man with principles, after all!
Left with no choice, Bai Zixi could only take two more chocolate bars out of her backpack and hand them to the two men.
“Here. These are the last two, so you can have them.”
The two men smiled, accepted the chocolate, and thanked her.
The system notifications sounded again.

As Bai Zixi ate her chocolate, she pursed her lips in dissatisfaction.
Couldn’t they give me a few more favorability points?
Every now and then, a few gazes swept across the lounge. Some people were even staring directly at the chocolate in her mouth.
Even so, Bai Zixi continued eating without the slightest guilt.
There was a tiny convenience store beside the lounge, but all the food inside had long since been divided among the people there.
Judging by how long this group had been staying here, they had probably been trapped for several days. There were nothing but empty wrappers scattered across their table, and hardly any food left.
The people who had eaten without restraint were undoubtedly Zhang Jiada’s mother and younger sister, who had completely failed to consider what they would do once the food ran out.
Lin Jiao watched as Zhang Jiada’s family tore open the last few packets of biscuits and devoured them greedily, as though they were afraid someone might snatch the food away.
She still had two packets of biscuits and two bottles of water in her backpack. Whenever she felt hungry, she only dared to eat a few pieces at a time, carefully rationing her food and water.
On the other side, a pretty young woman with delicate features kept staring at Bai Zixi. Her eyes were filled with envy and jealousy.
That woman is so lucky. With a face like a seductive little vixen, she must have some rich man keeping her.
Beside her were two ordinary-looking young men who were her university classmates. The three of them had gone out together for a trip, but they had encountered zombies along the way and had fled here for safety.
Not far from them sat a middle-aged couple, quietly eating their food.
The remaining four men had each escaped here alone. They had been sitting near the entrance, occasionally getting up to check the situation outside.
These men seemed to have a fairly good sense of alertness.
When Bai Zixi felt the girl’s gaze fall on her, she raised her eyebrows and gave her a smug little expression, almost sticking out her tongue.
He even took a bite of the chicken leg from the packaging while licking his lips.
The system notification sounded.

“Zixi, here, have some water.”
Zhu Rui thoughtfully opened a bottle of water and placed it in front of her.
Bai Zixi naturally picked it up and took a sip before smiling at Zhu Rui.
“Thank you.”

Hearing the notification, she couldn’t help feeling delighted.
This was actually her first time earning dislike points!
Young girls these days were something else. They got jealous for absolutely no reason.
But she couldn’t really blame them. After all, Bai Zixi was already beautiful, and on top of that, she had so many handsome men doting on her.
Just look at the female lead. She was so calm and composed, not even bothering to glance in their direction.
……
And so, the night passed peacefully.
Only a faint trace of moonlight filtered through the glass windows into the lounge, preventing it from becoming completely pitch-black.
Even so, it was difficult for anyone to fall asleep peacefully. Zombies occasionally wandered past the entrance and windows. Some even pressed their faces against the glass, their wide-open eyes devoid of pupils, making for a truly disgusting sight.
“Get some sleep, Zixi,” Yu Haoran said softly, offering a word of concern.
If she didn’t get enough rest, how would she have the energy to deal with things tomorrow?
Bai Zixi nodded and obediently rested her head on the table.
With all of them around her, there was nothing to be afraid of.
Thinking this, she slowly closed her eyes. Before long, she had already fallen asleep.
