Sheng Xia would never stand still and let Lu Xiaoxiao hit her. She stepped back several paces to avoid the blow. Lu Xiaoxiao, wearing high heels, failed to strike Sheng Xia and lost her balance, stumbling forward.
She fell against the sink, and by unfortunate coincidence, her nose hit the edge. After a sharp cry, blood spurted from her nose.
Sheng Xia stared in shock at the scene, unsure what to do. At that moment, Gu Tingting also arrived, having heard Lu Xiaoxiao’s scream from afar. She rushed in quickly.
“Li Shengxia, how dare you hit Xiaoxiao!” Seeing Lu Xiaoxiao’s bloody face, Gu Tingting immediately called Gu Cheng’an.

Gu Tingting’s accusation left Sheng Xia speechless. Gu Cheng’an arrived shortly after.

Sheng Xia quickly explained, “It wasn’t me! I had nothing to do with it!”
Lu Xiaoxiao was in tears, her face a mix of blood and tears, looking both pitiful and ridiculous.
“She pushed me! She called me a vixen and said I shamelessly clung to you to get you to treat me to a meal. When I tried to explain, she didn’t believe me and attacked me.”
Sheng Xia was stunned by Lu Xiaoxiao’s words. She had always thought Lu Xiaoxiao was gentle and refined, the epitome of a well-bred lady. She never expected her to twist the truth like this.
Too shocked to speak, Sheng Xia could only watch as Gu Cheng’an, his expression dark, ordered a waiter to help stop Lu Xiaoxiao’s bleeding.
Gu Tingting fanned the flames: “Brother, Li Shengxia is vicious! Two years ago, she pushed Xiaoxiao down the stairs just to marry you. Xiaoxiao still has a scar on her knee from it.”
Su Qiao immediately defended her: “Nonsense! When did Xia Xia ever push Lu Xiaoxiao? Two years ago, Lu Xiaoxiao rolled down the stairs to frame Xia Xia. I was right there!”
“Su Qiao, you’re her friend, of course you’d defend her,” Gu Tingting retorted.
Su Qiao sneered, “You and Lu Xiaoxiao are friends too. Everyone knows you’re used to slandering Xia Xia!”
As she spoke, Su Qiao grabbed Sheng Xia’s hand. “Don’t be afraid. With me and my brother here, no one can slander you!”
Su Yanqi also approached, his eyes filled with concern. “Xia Xia, are you okay?”
Sheng Xia replied tearfully, “I’m fine, Brother Yanqi. It really wasn’t me. She did it herself…”
“I know! You would never do something like that.” Su Yanqi trusted Sheng Xia completely.
Seeing Su Yanqi comfort Sheng Xia, Gu Cheng’an’s eyes turned cold. He roughly pulled Sheng Xia to his side.
Holding her firmly in his arms, he ordered Gu Tingting, “Take Miss Lu to the hospital.”
“Brother, why don’t you take her?”
“I have other matters. I’ll have Jing Ci handle it later.” With that, Gu Cheng’an grabbed Sheng Xia’s hand. “Let’s go!”
“What are you doing? Let go of me!”
Ignoring Sheng Xia’s protests, Gu Cheng’an forcibly dragged her away.
Su Yanqi frowned at Gu Cheng’an’s actions, but Su Qiao was the first to panic. “Brother, will he hurt Xia Xia? We can’t let her go with him. With those words, Gu Cheng’an wrapped his arm around Shengxia’s waist and walked away. Meanwhile, Lu Xiaoxiao’s bleeding had been stopped, and she was being helped out by Gu Tingting.
Watching Gu Cheng’an’s retreating figure with his arm around Shengxia’s waist, a flash of resentment crossed her eyes.
She had thought Gu Cheng’an would come to her aid and take her to the hospital after seeing her in such a state, but instead, he had left with Shengxia, who was completely unharmed.

Sheng Xia was so furious at the first few sentences scolding her that she completely overlooked the most important part of what Gu Cheng’an said later.
She straightened her neck defiantly. “Since you despise me so much, why don’t you just divorce me? Once we divorce and go our separate ways, you won’t have to look at me and find me an eyesore anymore.”
