Exploring the Dimension
“Young Miss, hurry and make the pact with me,” the little butterfly urged.
Bai Xue then grabbed the silver dagger floating in the air and cut her finger with it.
She paused, seeing her own blood flowing from the self-inflicted wound.
It might seem insane to feel joy at the sight of her own blood flowing like this.
“Young Miss…”
“I know.”
Without waiting for the little butterfly to call her again, Bai Xue gently placed her finger on the forehead of the little butterfly, then declared in a firm and resonant voice…
“I, Bai Xue, wish to make a pact with you.”
“I accept.”
Whoosh
A bright light flashed as the little butterfly verbally accepted Bai Xue as its master.
With the completion of the pact, the once barren place, only filled with trees and mountains, transformed into something else entirely.
Caves sprung up, lakes turned a sparkling shade of blue-green, and waterfalls glittered brightly.
Mythical beasts freely roamed the sky, ordinary trees transformed into spirit trees, and spirit fruits abounded.
Even the legendary Returning Moon Flowers that Bai Xue had been amazed to find at first were now blooming before her by the hundreds!
“All of these are yours now, Young Miss.”
“Why would…”
“Because that person has given them to you.”
The little butterfly didn’t specify who that person was, but Bai Xue knew well it was the kind old woman who had changed her life.
Because who would it be if not the one from above capable of altering human fate?
“But I’m not a dimension user, I don’t possess the shadow element, can I truly own this place?” Bai Xue asked, curious and puzzled.
“Young Miss, no need to worry. Even if you’re not a dimension user, this place is yours. A dimension user is someone who creates dimensions for storing and hiding things. Their offensive power isn’t as fearsome as their defensive power. At higher levels, they can imprison those of lower levels within their dimension, but it’s limited to a number of people. As a medicine user, you couldn’t do these things. Now, you’re not a dimension user but the owner of this dimension,” the little butterfly explained.
“Will others know about this dimension?” Bai Xue continued to inquire.
“If Young Miss does not disclose it, no one else will be aware.
Even if they do become aware, they cannot enter unless Young Miss permits it.”
“So it is…
I understand now,” Bai Xue nodded, gaining a significant amount of knowledge about this world through her conversation with the little butterfly.
She had never before received an explanation about users of dimensions, which enriched her understanding greatly this time.
“And what about those caves?”
“You must give me a name first, then I will tell you!” the butterfly interjected, visibly upset at the prospect of not having a name.
Even the dim-witted rabbit had a name, why doesn’t she have a name! Visit g.com for the full chapter.
That was the little butterfly’s thought.
“In that case, your name shall be Bai Die,” Bai Xue promptly named the little butterfly upon its request, choosing a name without much deliberation.
“I share a surname with my Young Miss!” Although initially perturbed, Bai Die fluttered around joyously before settling on Bai Xue’s shoulder, smiling broadly.
“Now that you are pleased, could you explain what surrounds us and what we can do here?” Bai Xue asked, eager to learn more now that the naming was settled.
“Certainly, Young Miss!” Bai Die eagerly accepted the request and began to elucidate the mysteries of this dimension.
“The largest cave is your residence, Young Miss, containing divine spirit crystals that can enhance your power.
The cave near the waterfall serves as a training ground, whether for practicing medicine or honing physical strength, with time inside it flowing in a way that accelerates your training.
The remaining caves are treasure troves, holding an abundance of wealth, including a cave for medicinal herbs, one for scriptures, another for spirit crystals, and one for weapons.
There are numerous caves, and to describe each one would take too much time.”
“…” Bai Shui nodded in understanding, attentively listening to Bai Die’s explanations.
“To save your time, Young Miss, if you do not wish to search for something, you can simply call for it, like summoning ten divine rejuvenation pills.
Why don’t you try, Young Miss?
Because aside from you, no one else can command here.”
“Summon the divine rejuvenation pills.” Whoosh…
As soon as Bai Xue spoke, the divine rejuvenation pills appeared before her.
“And tell me, Bai Die, can’t you summon these items as well?” Bai Xue asked curiously.
“I can summon them, Young Miss, but I cannot touch them unless you permit,” Bai Die explained honestly.
Although originally the caretaker of this mental dimension, Bai Die was not its true master.
“Uh, I understand now.”
“What about the rest of the caves?” she continued, curious about the many caves that Bai Die had not yet explained.
Every creature here regards the Young Miss as their master, even if you haven’t made a pact with them directly.
If Young Miss wishes to summon them, you simply need to call.
However, if what Young Miss calls for does not exist within this spirit dimension, it will not appear.
The rest are various herbs, spirit fruits, and the waterfall is the divine nectar, an excellent remedy.
The lake water is pure aqua water, and its properties…”
“I’m aware of that.”
Bai Xue interrupted, shaking her head to decline Bai Die’s continuation on the properties of the pure aqua water, already familiar to her.
If the divine nectar was a remedy, the pure aqua water was also a tonic, just a single drop was immensely valuable.
But she had it in abundance, a gift from that old woman, a treasure indeed.
“From now on, I entrust you with the care of this spirit dimension in my stead. You may touch and consume anything within this dimension.”
Bai Xue announced after understanding everything, allowing Bai Die to resume her duties in maintaining the order of the spirit dimension.
“Thank you, Young Miss!” Bai Die joyously circled in front of Bai Xue, excited for the opportunity to taste and savor the sweet nectar from the flowers after hundreds of years of mere watching and caretaking.
“As for the pure aqua water, I permit the demon beasts and spirit animals to drink it,” Bai Xue continued, aware that the spirit animals watching her from within the forest bore no malice towards her.
Upon receiving permission, the spirit animals vocalized their joy and began to emerge to drink the pure aqua water.
“Bai Die, was it your doing that I found the Returning Moon Flowers today?” Bai Xue inquired, turning her gaze towards the Returning Moon Flowers near the pure aqua lake.
“Yes, Young Miss.
I sensed your need for a significant amount of money.”
“That is indeed what I need,” Bai Xue easily admitted.
“In fact, there’s a lot of gold coins in the cave.”
Bai Die hinted, pointing towards one of the caves upon hearing her master’s words.
“How much is ‘a lot’?” Bai Xue inquired, intrigued.
“It’s filled to the brim, Young Miss.”
“…”
So, does that mean she was rich now?
If a cave that large was filled with gold coins….
