“Want to eat my heart?”
“Want to sun-dry me into jerky?”
“I’m so scared.”
“Heh.”
Mike, who hadn’t left the carriage at all but had merely concealed his presence and was sitting in the last row with Alice, let out a cold laugh upon hearing the whispers of James and Victoria.
Just a game, just a dream?
Just a mere illusion?
Let’s see if you can survive to the end first.
Besides, the final right of interpretation for this game belonged to the Main God.
Compared to the very optimistic Mike, Alice beside him frowned slightly, feeling less optimistic.
After all, she had been here before and had witnessed the combat power of this place.
To put it simply, Alice felt she could clear the entire plot by herself.
Therefore she looked at Mike, trying to warn him.
“Mike, the overall strength of the wandering vampires is above that of the Cullen family.”
After all, the Cullen family were vegetarians.
As everyone knew, when growing up, mothers often told their children to eat more meat so they would have strong bodies.
This was true for humans, let alone vampires.
To give Mike a clearer understanding, Alice continued.
“Among the entire vampire clan, our Cullen family is the most unconventional because we are vegetarians. So not many vampire families are willing to deal with us.”
Mike held Alice’s cold little hand and smiled.
“Relax, my dear. Trust me. For those three, this will be a game of death.”
Alice didn’t quite understand the source of Mike’s confidence.
Mike chuckled, stood up, pulled Alice close, and took a single step, instantly crossing the distance in space.
They appeared in the hall filled with containers that was displayed as a restaurant on the map.
With a soft bang, Mike moved his right hand slightly and directly broke open a container.
In the next second he snapped his fingers, instantly freezing the Licker that was just about to pounce out from inside.
Mike shifted aside a bit to let Alice behind him see the creature clearly.
Hairless, with degenerated eyes, large finger joints evolved into sharp talons, its brain directly exposed, and possessing an extremely long mouthpart, the Licker crawling on all fours appeared fully in Alice’s sight.
Alice couldn’t help but be startled the moment she saw it.
“So ugly.”
“It is very ugly,” Mike said, “but my current strength is all based on the Licker.”
Alice turned to look at him and slowly sized up his entire body with a pair of eyes that seemed to captivate souls.
After a while she withdrew her gaze, revealing a look of pure disgust.
Mike laughed out loud.
Immediately after, he explained to Alice while pointing at the immobile Licker sample.
Perhaps one Licker couldn’t defeat one vampire, but what about a warehouse full of Lickers?
The trace of worry on Alice’s face disappeared during Mike’s explanation.
Ten minutes later, after Mike secured the Licker used as a sample again, the footsteps of Matthew and his team, along with the three vampires—Laurent and the others—could be heard from not far away.
Soon, Matthew and his team, just like in the original plot, swept past this restaurant filled with Lickers and entered the other side of the Laser Corridor.
Mike’s eyes lit up and he said to Alice, “The good show is about to begin.”
Alice thought of the Laser Corridor she had seen before, thought of the severed limbs covered in the thick smell of blood, and in the next second her breathing couldn’t help but become heavier.
Mike cast a concerned look at his vampire girlfriend.
Alice stuck out her little tongue and slowly licked her lips, asking in a low, seductive voice, “If I drink blood, will you still love me?”
Mike’s mouth curved upward as he pulled Alice firmly into his arms, one hand sliding down to rest possessively on the small of her back.
“My dear, I prefer the way you look with your mouth full of blood. Besides, you don’t need to restrain your desires. If you want, this world is your pasture—your exclusive pasture.”
Alice offered him a sweet, lingering kiss, her cool lips parting just enough to let him taste her.
Mike chuckled against her mouth.
It’s just drinking blood.
What’s the big deal?
He didn’t even need artificial plasma.
He had a world—a world where he controlled life and death and could restart it infinitely.
What?
A vampire that drinks human blood isn’t a good vampire, it’s a villain?
Heh.
Villains and the Main God were quite a match.
However…
“Forget it. It took five years to overcome the desire for blood, and being a vegetarian now is quite good.” Alice shook her head and smiled.
She wasn’t unable to control her desire for blood.
She just wanted to hear how Mike would answer.
Alice was very satisfied with his answer.
At the same time, just like in the original plot, Kaplan, the computer expert in Matthew’s team, set up his three laptops, his hands moving across the keyboards as if performing magic.
After a flurry of rapid clacking, the door connecting to the Laser Corridor—which had been modified by Mike to have a two-way transparent defensive capability even stronger than the previous iron door—instantly opened.
At that moment the Laser Corridor, which killed people like cutting grass, appeared once again.
As usual, Matthew carefully passed through the Laser Corridor first, preparing to open the iron door behind the corridor that connected to the Red Queen’s server room.
Meanwhile the three vampires—Laurent and the others—standing behind the crowd gathered together and whispered.
“The Laser Corridor that damn mutant mentioned couldn’t be this one, could it?”
“It should be.”
“That means these people going in are very likely to die?”
Along the way, Laurent and the others had gradually relaxed from their initial strict vigilance.
So what if all the people in the base were dead?
They dared to hunt living people, so what were they afraid of from mere dead people?
Soon, when Matthew, having successfully opened the Red Queen’s server room, was about to call his team members to bring in the equipment used to shut down the Red Queen, his gaze fell on the three vampires whispering over there.
He changed what he was about to say.
“Two from our team, and have the special operations group send one person over too.”
The three vampires instantly snapped back and looked over.
Victoria had the same thought as Laurent.
Since there was no forced erasure here, they didn’t want to go.
They were a bit savage, but they weren’t stupid.
James was different.
A flash of madness crossed James’s face as he shook off Laurent’s hand and turned around.
“I don’t believe that mutant who only knows how to use illusions can kill me. I will let you all know that all this talk of erasure and danger is bullshit.”
Saying this, James walked directly in front of the two ordinary team members who were preparing to enter, grinned to reveal his fangs, and then, with an inexplicable smile, walked straight into the Laser Corridor.
“Psycho.”
“Where did the company find this guy? He’s like an idiot.”
The two team members carrying the equipment to shut down the Red Queen muttered unceremoniously before entering the Laser Corridor as well.
The next second…
