What is the typical process for a date between a man and a woman?

Dinner, a movie, a hotel room, and sleeping together?

But what if it’s a transmigrated, reborn man and a ninety-nine-year-old female vampire?Full novel: Twilight: Rise of the Main God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

What would their date be like?

Perhaps there was no answer before, but now there is.

Let’s skip the part about where to eat.

This is Forks, not New York, and Mike Lance is just an ordinary high school boy who hasn’t awakened his system yet.

Expecting candlelight dinners, pianos, and suits is just a pipe dream.

In short, by the time Mike Lance and Alice arrived at the only cinema in Forks, it was already 8:30 PM.

The ticket Mike had snuck out to buy at noon was for the 8:45 PM showing.

The timing was just right.

There weren’t many people watching the movie.

If you deliberately ignore the sixteen people in the theater, it could practically count as a private screening, especially since Titanic wasn’t a new film.

Of course, the seats Mike chose were in the back, the kind where there was no one in the rows in front or behind.

They sat down.

While waiting for the movie to start, Alice curiously asked, “Have you seen it?”

Mike shook his head without a second thought.

“No.”

He really hadn’t seen it in this world.

After all, the movie had only been released for two years at most.

Besides, he had seen it back on Earth, and after seventeen years, he had almost completely forgotten it.

After Mike finished speaking, he asked, “What about you?”

Alice also shook her head.

“No.”

Fine.

Alice was lying.

Two years ago, when the movie premiered in France, it was a weekend.

When the Cullen family was vacationing in France, she and her siblings had gone to see it as a group.

But she definitely couldn’t say that.

After all, she wasn’t some nineteen-year-old Alice with zero emotional intelligence.

As they spoke, the movie started, the lights in the theater dimmed, and the melodious music gradually swelled, raising the curtain on the film.

One hundred and ninety minutes later, the movie on the big screen was nearing its end.

On the big screen, Jack froze to death in the ocean while saving Rose.

To fulfill her promise to Jack, Rose lived on.

Many years later, an elderly Rose threw the Heart of the Ocean into the sea in front of everyone, and passed away in her sleep that very night.

In her dream, Rose returned to the Titanic, embraced Jack affectionately in front of everyone, and kissed him.

The story was moving.

As the credits began to roll, faint sobbing could be heard from the audience in the front rows, moved by the touching story.

But sitting in the back, Mike and Alice looked at each other, confused by the sobbing they heard.

After a while, Mike pulled his gaze away from Alice’s pale face, coughed, and said, “Was it good?”

Alice nodded, then repeated, “Was it good?”

Mike shrugged and gave his honest opinion.

“It was alright.”

Whether Titanic was meant to express love or the great altruism in the face of disaster, it didn’t stir any emotion in Mike.

In a word, even if the ship hadn’t sunk, Jack and Rose still wouldn’t have ended up together.

So, to put it bluntly, for those two, the ship sinking was the best ending.

As for the line about letting the elderly, children, and women go first when disaster struck?

That line didn’t move Mike either.

Still the same thing.

Mike felt he could never do that.

There was an old saying: “If a man doesn’t look out for himself, he’ll be destroyed.” Mike felt that perfectly summed up his current situation.

As for the rest?

It’s just a movie.

You watch it, you laugh, you cry, the movie ends, and everything is over.

What’s there to reminisce about?

It’s just something meant for entertainment.

Before long, Mike and Alice walked out of the cinema.

At this moment, Forks, while not pitch black, was certainly dark.

It was already almost 10:30 PM.

Never mind a town like Forks; even New York would likely be largely shut down by now.

After all, this is the and the nights, where it’s safe enough for a girl to walk alone until 3 AM.

Mike opened the car door and invited Alice to get in.

“Shall I take you home?”

Alice stood in front of the passenger door, tilted her head playfully, blinked, and shook her head.

“It’s so late. They’ve probably already gone to sleep.”

Mike smiled slightly without saying anything else.

Then, the two looked at each other and smiled, understanding each other perfectly.

Then, after Alice got into the passenger seat, Mike closed the door, walked to the driver’s side, opened the door, got in, started the engine, and drove toward his home in town.

In this life, Mike’s parents were very busy people.

His father, Bell Lance, was a lawyer.

Ever since he was a member of the legal team for a nationwide sensational case in 1994, his reputation had skyrocketed.

He was either litigating in Washington or New York.

His mother, Julia Lance, worked for an airline as a flight attendant, the kind who was always flying around.

In short, unless it was some special holiday, those two would never remember they had a son.

Soon, Mike’s home arrived.

It was a typical American-style three-story sky-blue villa standing by a small creek on the edge of Forks.

With a hum, the garage door slowly opened.

Mike parked the car in the garage next to a latest-model Ferrari sports car released last year.

This was a gift from his father, Bell Lance, on the day Mike got his driver’s license at sixteen.

But Mike had barely driven it.

Sports cars are risky, and one must drive carefully.

As always, Mike’s policy was to keep a low profile until the Gold Finger was successfully activated.

Engine off.

Mike turned his head to look at Alice.

But at the very moment he turned, Mike’s eyes widened, feeling a touch of coolness on his lips, accompanied by a hint of sweetness.

But at this very moment, a “Ding” sound.

The next second, Alice also heard that mysterious sound, a sound that seemed to have crossed endless stars and time to arrive here.

That was…

“Ding!”
