“Is it ‘I don’t know’? Or…” Mike’s thoughts raced.

The next second, Mike looked at Alice, who was wrapped in a bedsheet and looking quite charming, and a smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

“Yes, this is a surprise. Do you like it?”Full novel: Twilight: Rise of the Main God — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Choosing “I don’t know”—that answer was a death trap.

The reason was simple: if he chose that answer, he wouldn’t be able to explain why he was going to the Hive later.

Women are not stupid.

A vampire woman, especially one who had spent ninety-nine years as a vampire, was even less of a fool.

Alice frowned slightly and looked around again.

“Where is this place?”

Mike walked to Alice’s side with the openness of a gentleman and followed her gaze to look up at the starry sky hanging above.

“Another world.”

Alice was stunned.

“What?”

Mike nodded and said in a calm tone, “Yes, another world.”

Alice was dumbfounded.

“…How can that be?”

Mike shrugged.

“My talent.”

Alice came back to her senses and looked at Mike, who had a faint smile on his lips and eyes as deep blue as the deep sea, and asked curiously, “Why tell me?”

Mike smiled and said, “We are lovers, aren’t we? There should be no secrets between lovers.”

Alice was a bit surprised.

In the split-second of consideration just now, it seemed like Mike had made his choice in a second, but in reality, Mike had gone through a deduction, and the deduced answer was the one that best fit the current situation.

Furthermore, Alice was not an outsider.

Can lovers be called outsiders?

Although Mike and Alice’s emotional experience was a bit bizarre—they didn’t really have any emotional experience at all—in some sense, it was a natural progression.

Although the final water didn’t flow into the canal, the pipe had already been inserted, so it counted as half a natural progression.

After a while, Alice came back to her senses, shook her head, laughed, and looked at Mike.

Thinking about what they were doing before coming here, she said with a bit of complaint, “Actually, you could have waited a little longer.”

As she spoke, Alice seemed to think of something, looked at the deserted surroundings, and suddenly raised an eyebrow at Mike.

“Or are you saying that you like the environment here, so you chose this place specifically?”

Mike gave a wry smile, shook his head, and said, “Believe me, I would prefer our first time to be in a proper environment, rather than in this world that is about to be destroyed.”

Alice was slightly stunned.

Under Alice’s gaze, Mike’s expression was serious.

“This is another world, but I want this place to become my world. Originally, I could have taken my time, but an accident just happened that forced me to rush over immediately.” Get faster updates on g.com.

Speaking is an art.

Mike is not talented, but he is very proficient in this art.

According to Mike’s brief explanation, the world source here is a bad guy, and to prevent this world from heading towards extinction, he has no choice but to find a way to replace it.

Alice asked, somewhat confused, “How are you going to stop it?”

Mike feigned a relaxed smile and said, “It’s very simple. The world source here is staging a script of extinction, and all I need to do is to make sure his script cannot continue. It’s just…”

Alice frowned slightly.

“Just what?”

Mike shook his head, looked at Alice, and said, “Alice, I am very sorry for bringing you here, but I think it is time for you to go back now. I might need to finish dealing with things here.”

As he spoke, Mike reached out his right hand behind him, and with a hum, an oval black hole covered in seven-colored light instantly unfolded slowly in the open space behind him.

Alice didn’t move a step.

“I’m not leaving.”

Mike looked at the direction of the red mansion five hundred meters away with an apparently anxious expression, turned his head, and said to Alice, “Alice, it is very dangerous here. I don’t want to implicate you.”

Alice pressed, “Dangerous? Then what about you? Isn’t it very dangerous for you to stay here as well?”

Mike shook his head.

“No, I am different.”

Alice immediately took a quick step and appeared in front of Mike, who had shifted his gaze away.

She stared straight at Mike, her expression extremely serious and earnest.

“How are you different?”

Mike opened his mouth, his expression conflicted.

He didn’t speak, but he wanted to pull Alice’s arm to make her leave this time from the black hole that had opened behind him.

A tug.

She didn’t move.

A second tug.

Still didn’t move.

Mike looked at Alice, who seemed to weigh one hundred tons at this moment, with a strange expression.

The next second, the corners of Alice’s mouth curved slightly upward, and with a bang, a sound like thunder suddenly exploded in Mike’s ears.

Then, boom!

A large tree ten meters away collapsed with a crash, smashing heavily onto the ground and creating a tree-shaped crater.

Alice clapped her hands, wrapped the bedsheet around her chest again, and then, with a swish, appeared right in front of Mike, within his reach, pressed close to his body.

Mike’s mouth hung open.

Mike: “…”

What exactly happened in the Resident Evil world?

The official script is that the fake husband of Alice in this world, in order to steal the T-virus and sell it for money, deliberately broke a vial to try and cause the Hive to lock down.

But he didn’t expect the Hive’s speed to be faster than his; he fainted halfway, and then Alice woke up on the surface and was captured by a group of armed security from the Umbrella Corporation.

In the end, only Alice and a random guy escaped, but both were still caught, and the T-virus began to leak outwards.

This is the official script.

But according to Mike’s version, it became another story.

It didn’t change much, except for adding a mastermind, which was the world itself.

In Mike’s version, all of this was a script written and directed by this blackened world itself.

Alice frowned and said, “T-virus?”

Mike nodded, then seemed to think of something.

He looked at the fallen tree, then looked at Alice in front of him, wrapped in a bedsheet, appearing charming and seemingly weak, and opened his mouth wide.

“Now it’s your turn, Alice. What was that just now? How did you suddenly become so fast and have so much strength?”

Alice smiled slightly, did not answer the question, but said directly, “So, you were just planning to go into that Hive alone, where just one breath would infect you with the T-virus and turn you into a zombie, to save the world?”

Mike shrugged.

“I have to do this. After all, this can also be considered my world.”

Alice nodded thoughtfully.

The next second, Alice looked up and said, “Then let’s go.”

Mike frowned.

“Go where?”

Alice, who had already set off toward the red mansion five hundred meters away, waved her hand without looking back and said, “I don’t want the little man I spent ninety-nine years finding to die inexplicably.”

Mike: “…”
