Where is this?

Otto stood in place, still maintaining a loosely gripping posture, but the items in his hands had completely disappeared.

He had clearly just gone to the convenience store to buy a bottle of Sprite and a Choclitz ice cream, but as soon as he stepped out of the convenience store and rubbed his eyes, he appeared in a dense forest.Full novel: Type Moon: The Fake Otto Apocalypse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“This can no longer be explained by hallucinations…” Otto drew a sharp breath, forcing himself to calm down, “Did I fucking transmigrate?”

And it was even the same transmigration method as 486, but at least 486 walked out of the convenience store and into an otherworldly royal capital; even if he was cornered by punks in an alley at the start, at least it was in a city.

As for himself, the moment he opened his eyes, it was a deep mountain forest.

Forget about meeting any beautiful girls, whether he could walk out alive was a serious biological question.

Thinking of this, the corners of Otto’s mouth couldn’t help twitching, and he instinctively wanted to take a sip of Sprite to calm his nerves.

“…

Where’s my Sprite?”

His left hand was empty; forget about a plastic bag, there wasn’t even a blade of water grass.

The only thing he saw was a hand with distinct knuckles and an excessive whiteness.

This was definitely not a hand belonging to a modern corporate slave; there weren’t even calluses from years of holding a mouse!

“This isn’t my body?” Immediately, a more terrifying thought surged into Otto’s mind.

Transmigration was fine, but what if it came with a gender-swapping tag?

Wouldn’t this novel end up cataloged in some weird sections?

No matter what he transmigrated into, the baseline bottom line had to be defended.

Otto hurriedly lowered his head, untied his belt, and took a look inside.

“Phew, good thing, the bro is still there.” Otto let out a sigh of relief, glad that he hadn’t embarked on some magical route of transforming into a female protagonist.

After confirming his most core dignity, he then began to examine the clothes on his body.

A purple jacket that looked very expensive, paired with a pure white shirt inside, and on his lower body, black slim-fitting trousers and a pair of finely crafted cowhide long riding boots.

At a glance, this outfit was full of strong 14th to 15th-century European aristocratic flair, though this flashy style somehow felt inexplicably familiar.

[It looks like the original owner was an aristocrat, or at least a decent person.] While making a preliminary judgment in his heart, Otto reached out and searched through various pockets of his clothes, trying to find clues left by the original owner, such as identification, gold coins, or a self-defense weapon.

However, the result was despairing.

There was nothing.

Completely clean, even cleaner than his wallet at the end of the month before his transmigration.

“Do medieval aristocrats go out without carrying anything?

Or do they think they can make a wild boar pay the bill in the forest just by relying on a decent face?” Otto complained helplessly.

Otto took a deep breath and began to sort out the current situation.

First, he had transmigrated, and he was also a medieval aristocrat.

Second, he was currently in a primeval forest with nothing on his body.

If he couldn’t walk out while it was still daylight, when night came, what awaited him would most likely be his corpse exposed in the wilderness, becoming dinner for some carnivorous animal.

“However, speaking of which, since I’m an aristocrat, why aren’t there even any guards or servants around?

Did I encounter an assassination pursuit, or am I out experiencing wilderness survival?”

Carrying a heart full of doubts and a desire for survival, Otto stepped on dead branches and fallen leaves, beginning to explore the surroundings.

Fortunately, the original owner didn’t seem like the kind of pampered, useless young master who would pant after taking two steps.

This body was unexpectedly light; even wearing slightly heavy leather boots, Otto didn’t feel any obvious fatigue.

After shuttling through the forest for about ten minutes, a faint sound of flowing water came to his ears.

Following the sound, Otto pushed aside a bush and found a crystal-clear small pool of water.

“Great, at least the water source problem is temporarily solved.”

Otto walked quickly to the edge of the pool, just as he was about to cup some water to wash his face, his gaze inadvertently swept over the reflection on the water’s surface.

The water’s surface reflected a face.

Long blonde hair was casually tied behind his head with a hair band, emerald-green eyes were deep and bright, and his facial features were so delicate that one couldn’t pick out a single flaw.

“Handsome, who are you?” Otto asked subconsciously.

But soon he reacted: isn’t this shockingly handsome face in the water the biggest villain in the Honkai series, the God of Pure Love, the Destiny Archbishop — Otto Apocalypse?!

“Purple jacket, white shirt, blonde hair and green eyes…

I see, I became Otto?”

In an instant, countless people who had been screwed over by Lütuo flashed through Otto’s mind, as well as his bumpy yet magnificent life.

“So, is this actually the Honkai world?

No, that’s not right…”

Otto fell into deep thought, Otto did not give up thinking, Otto’s thinking check resulted in a critical failure.

Otto still stared blankly at the reflection in the pool.

Not sure if it was an instinct engraved in his DNA acting up, or if he suddenly wanted to make a meme reference, Otto’s knees suddenly softened, and he knelt directly at the edge of the pool, sighing up to the sky:

“I can’t do anything at all—!”

As soon as his voice fell, a mechanical electronic sound without any emotional fluctuations, yet crisp like heavenly music, abruptly sounded in Otto’s mind:

[Ding!

Congratulations to the host for successfully activating the system.]

Otto’s shout stopped abruptly.

Maintaining the posture of sighing up to the sky, he was stunned for a full three seconds before tentatively asking in his mind:

“Ah?

Could the phrase ‘I can’t do anything’ be some kind of anti-counterfeiting activation password?

Are Honkai memes really this useful?”

[Oh, not really,] the system responded indifferently, [It’s just that the progress bar happened to finish loading.

Please don’t overthink it, Host.]

“…” Otto twitched again, put away that heartbroken expression, patted the dirt off his hands, and stood up.

“Fine, since the system is here, what about the beginner’s gift pack?

You gotta give me some capital to survive in the forest, right?”

[Initial items have been distributed, please check them, Host.]

Accompanied by the system’s voice, Otto felt a heaviness in his right hand.

He lowered his head and saw a cubic Rubik’s cube emitting a faint golden light appear out of thin air in his palm.

The surface of the Rubik’s cube was covered with intricate and precise patterns, looking full of advanced technological and mysterious senses.

Uh, anyway, it looked very expensive at a glance.

“Isn’t this fucking Void Archives!” Otto almost failed to keep his grip.

As someone with Otto’s face, getting the First Divine Key “Void Archives” seemed like a very reasonable thing, but the problem was that Otto had good self-awareness.

“System, do you have some misunderstanding about me?” Otto held up the glowing golden Rubik’s cube, his tone full of helplessness, “The reason this thing is awesome is because the person using it is named Otto, okay?

You’re giving this to a corporate slave who has forgotten all his college knowledge?

Giving me Magnetic Field Rotation would have been fine too.”

Facing Otto’s machine-gun-like complaints, the system showed a high degree of indifference, without even a single explanation, and directly projected a translucent blue light screen onto Otto’s retina.

[Main quest released.]

[Quest objective: Find King Arthur.]

[Quest description: Having transmigrated to the Middle Ages, how could you not go see the great King Arthur, my friend!

My King is great, glorious, and righteous!

The messenger of Kami!

The greatest monarch in the world!

Go, go bathe in that dazzling light of the King!]

Otto looked at this quest description full of fanatic fan vibes, and the veins on his forehead twitched twice.

“System, don’t you proofread the copy before releasing quests?

No matter how you look at it, this description looks like it was written by a brainless fan, right?”

The system still did not respond, and the light screen slowly slid down, revealing the text at the very bottom.

[Quest reward: 1600 gold coins.]

“1600…” Otto looked at that familiar number and took a deep breath.

Is this quantity a coincidence?

Isn’t this just the exact amount of currency needed for a ten-pull?

However, compared to the reward, the quest objective itself was a huge point of roast.

“Hey system, are you serious?” Otto held the Void Archives in his hand and protested to the void, “King Arthur is just a fictional character in Celtic mythology and medieval chivalric literature!

Where is there such a person in history?”

However, in the forest there was only the rustling of wind blowing through leaves, and the system seemed to have completely entered a state of playing dead.

Looking at the glowing Rubik’s cube in his hand and then at the sky that was about to darken, Otto finally compromised and shoved the Void Archives into the pocket of his purple jacket.

“Forget it, what’s done is done.”

Afterwards, Otto randomly picked a direction, strode in his leather boots, and embarked on this completely illogical otherworldly journey.
