Wife!
So that means she’s his wife.
The two girls couldn’t help but glance up again at Bo Shiyue – with his tall, straight posture and outstanding appearance, how could he have married so young!
The queue kept moving forward.
But Bo Shiyue’s aura was too intimidating, making people before and after him dare not get too close.
Some clueless individuals, seeing the distance between Bo Shiyue and the person in front, tried to cut in line, only to be pushed away by the Special Assistant.
“Please queue civilly, learn from the children!”
As he spoke, he pointed to the adorable little child obediently waiting in line.
When the little child heard the Special Assistant praising him, he happily smiled back, “Yes, yes, grandma, please queue civilly~”
His voice immediately drew many people’s attention.
The elderly woman grumbled with a couple of eye rolls, glared at the Special Assistant several times, then slowly walked to the very end of the line.
After queuing to buy the small cake, Bo Shiyue couldn’t wait to take a photo and send it to the little girl.
However.
The little girl still refused to acknowledge him.
When Bo Shiyue returned carrying the cake, Steward Jing was waiting under the corridor. Seeing him get out of the car and approach, he quickly came forward to meet him.
“Miss Mu removed several surveillance cameras today and got very angry. She threw the master’s clothes out from the master bedroom!”
Hearing this, the Special Assistant silently took a step back.
Forget it.
He didn’t dare to watch this spectacle.
Bo Shiyue carried the cake into the entrance hall and was changing his shoes when another suit came flying down from upstairs. The servants downstairs were scrambling to catch it.
The vases and calligraphy paintings in the living room had been smashed beyond recognition.
Anyone unaware would think burglars had broken into the house.
Seeing Bo Shiyue return, the servants nodded in greeting, holding the discarded clothes while standing awkwardly unsure what to do.
Mu Wantang, who had been about to throw out his pillow, had just reached the second-floor railing when she spotted Bo Shiyue. She instinctively tightened her grip on the pillow in her arms.
“You actually know how to come back!”
Her complaining tone carried a hint of coquettishness, making Bo Shiyue’s heart ache.
He knew he was very busy and sometimes couldn’t attend to the little girl.
“Of course I know, there’s a little girl at home waiting for her cake!”
Bo Shiyue raised his hand slightly, but this time Mu Wantang didn’t come running down happily to hug him as she usually would.
Instead, she snorted coldly and stopped her tantrum.
Turning around, she walked into the master bedroom and slammed the door shut with a loud bang.
The message was clear enough!
Obviously, it wasn’t just about discovering the surveillance cameras. His little girl had the best temperament – even when throwing tantrums, there was always a reason.
Every time she argued with him, she knew when to stop.
This time, she was clearly deeply angry.
Bo Shiyue, who had been about to go upstairs, paused and glanced back at Steward Jing following behind him. “What else happened today?”
Steward Jing walked over and retrieved an invitation from the trash can.
“The Lu Family has been blessed with a son. This is the invitation for the full moon banquet. Miss Mu said that next time she sees the young mistress, she won’t stop until she smashes her face to pieces.”
“And also…”
Bo Shiyue narrowed his eyes, his gaze filled with intense danger.
Steward Jing was too frightened to look up. “And also, an unknown number called today. After Miss Mu hung up, she became like this!”
Before Bo Shiyue could speak, Steward Jing quickly added.
“We’ve already checked. The call came from Lu Family’s private hospital.”
Steward Jing’s words had barely faded when Mu Wantang shoved the door open and rushed out, hurling the pillow in her hands downward.
Her delicate, adorable face was now clouded with anger, her shoulders trembling slightly with rage.
She shouted down at the lower floor, “Bo Shiyue, I can’t go out, but someone sure wants to come in!”
“You know exactly how the invitation got delivered and how that call came through!”
“Let me make one thing clear: next time I see Xi Ning, I don’t care if she’s the eldest daughter of the Xi family—if I don’t smash her face in, my name isn’t Mu Wantang!”
With that, she turned and stormed back into the bedroom.
Bang.
The thunderous slam of the door seemed to strike deep into Bo Shiyue’s heart.
The little lady was angry, and this time she’d be hard to coax.
Bo Shiyue stepped carefully through the mess in the living room and slowly made his way upstairs.
Holding a cake, he stood at the door, knocking humbly for a long time.
Inside the room, Mu Wantang lay face down on the bed, weeping with grievance, refusing to open the door.
Worried something might happen, Bo Shiyue had Steward Jing bring the key.
When he opened the door, Mu Wantang was sobbing uncontrollably on the bed.
Bo Shiyue’s heart ached with pain, his whole being clenched in distress. He didn’t even care about the cake in his hand anymore, quickly walking over to gather the young woman into his arms.
“Didn’t you promise me you wouldn’t get angry anymore?”
“If you want to hit her, then hit her. Beat her to death if you want!”
Then he called out to Steward Jing, “Go inform the Lu Family—the full moon banquet is set for tomorrow night. It must be held, and invite all the prominent families in the Imperial City. Anyone who dares not to come is opposing me, Bo Shiyue!”
The young woman in his arms looked up with tearful, grievance-filled eyes, her glistening orbs still dropping gold beans one after another.
Bo Shiyue’s heart ached as he gently wiped them away with a tissue.
“Then smash her face in, to vent my little lady’s anger!”
Steward Jing nodded shakily and closed the door as he left.
Only when he reached the downstairs did he dare to breathe heavily.
With how much Sir Bo doted on Miss Mu, he couldn’t understand what the Xi family was trying to pull.
The Special Assistant, smoking outside the door, saw Steward Jing emerge pale-faced.
He chuckled quietly to himself.
“Uncle Jing, got scolded, huh?”
It was smart of him not to go in!
Steward Jing shot him a glance. “Sir Bo has a task for you.” After relaying Bo Shiyue’s message, he watched as the Special Assistant froze in place.
The already short cigarette butt in his hand burned down, singeing his fingers before he frantically tossed it away.
His lips twitched slightly in disbelief. “You’re saying, at tomorrow’s banquet, Miss Mu will smash the young lady’s face?”
Steward Jing pondered Mu Wantang’s fiery temper.
If Sir Bo indulged her, in front of everyone, she’d probably leave her with half a life at most.
And that was only considering the alliance between the two families.
“Sigh!”
Sir Bo kept his beloved in a golden house, doting on his little wife—and this little wife was fierce, so fierce!
*
Inside the room.
Bo Shiyue carried Mu Wantang and sat with her on the chaise lounge by the floor-to-ceiling window.
He opened the cake box and began feeding her bite by bite with a delicate little spoon.
Mu Wantang had been crying for a while, her nose sniffling continuously. Every time she met Bo Shiyue’s gaze, she’d pout.
Bo Shiyue patiently coaxed her, “How about I buy you an island and take you there?”
Mu Wantang immediately wiped her tears with her small hand, snatched the little spoon from his grasp, and began eating the cake in big mouthfuls.
Yuck!
How could she not know what he was thinking?
He was just dying for this to happen!
She couldn’t even escape on land—if they went out to sea, she’d truly have nowhere to turn for help!
