Jay Jay’s pov –
After some time i reached the location i parked the vehicle and went inside.
My gaze landed to the House
I forgot how to breathe.
The mansion stood proudly behind enormous iron gates.
Beautiful gardens surrounded the property, filled with colorful flowers and perfectly trimmed hedges.
A large fountain stood in the center, its crystal-clear water sparkling under the sunlight.
The driveway alone looked bigger than the street where I lived.
Tall glass windows reflected the blue sky above.
Everything looked elegant.
Luxurious.
Almost unreal.
For a moment, I wondered if I had come to the wrong address.
People actually lived in places like this?
I tightened my grip on the cake box.
Suddenly, I became very aware of my simple bakery uniform.
Very aware of who I was.
And who lived behind those gates.
Taking a deep breath, I slowly walked toward the entrance.
My heart beating faster with every step.
For a moment, I looked down at the delivery slip.
Then back at the mansion.
Then at the slip again.
Was I sure this was the right address?
Mark Keifer Watson.
Yes.
This was definitely it.
Taking a deep breath, I carefully walked toward the entrance and pressed the doorbell.
A few seconds later…
The door opened.
And I froze.
Standing there the boy who bought cookies for his mom and came so fast when his mom called.
Before i could say something
He said
“You”
The same words came from my mouth too
“You”
We didn’t said anything for a second
Then i said
“Order For Mark keifer Watson”
He blinked and then said” Yes it’s me ”
Oh so his name is Mark keifer Watson
Keifer’s pov –
The moment I opened the door, I wasn’t expecting to see her.
Yet there she was.
Holding a large birthday cake.
She told order for mark keifer Watson
That’s me
But who gave my name
Ofcourse keigan
And then she blinked and said
“You live here?”
I sighed.
“Unfortunately.”
A laugh escaped her lips.
A real laugh.
And somehow…
It sounded nice.
Very nice.
I looked toward the cake box.
It looked heavier than it should.
“Give it to me it’s heavy”
“I can carry it.”
“I know.”
Before she could argue further, I took the box from her hands.
She immediately frowned.
“I said I can carry it.”
“And I said I know.”
Jay Jay stared at me.
Then shook her head.
“You’re stubborn.”
I raised an eyebrow.
“Took you long enough to notice.”
For a second she looked surprised.
Then laughed again.
I took the box from her and I turned around before she could see the small smile that appeared on my face.
Authors Pov –
Following Keifer inside, Jay Jay found herself admiring the interior of the mansion.
Everything looked elegant.
Warm lighting.
Beautiful decorations.
Family photographs.
Fresh flowers.
The house felt luxurious.
Yet strangely…
It also felt welcoming.
Unlike many expensive homes that looked cold.
This one felt alive
Keifer placed the cake on the table the garden at the backside Decorated fully with lights and flowers “I’ll bring the payment.”
Jay Jay nodded.
As Keifer disappeared upstairs, she carefully Opened the cake on the table.
Then stepped back.
The decorations around the cake looked slightly uneven.
Without thinking, she started fixing them.
Straightening ribbons.
Adjusting balloons.
Making sure everything looked perfect.
A few moments later—
“Jay Jay!”
She turned.
And saw Serina approaching her.
Serina’s pov –
The moment I saw her, I immediately smiled.
“Jay Jay!”
Her face brightened.
“Hello.”
I went towards her and gave her a brief hug
She smiled so purely
I looked toward the cake.
Then the decorations.
Then back toward her.
“Did you do all this?”
Jay Jay looked embarrassed.
“It just looked a little uneven.”
I laughed.
“You fixed it?”
“A little.”
“A little?”
I pointed toward the table.
“The entire thing looks better.”
Her cheeks turned slightly pink.
And somehow
That made her look adorable.
For some reason, I immediately felt comfortable around her.
“Come sit.”
Jay Jay hesitated.
“I should probably leave after delivering the cake.”
“No.”
“Ma’am—”
“No.”
I pointed toward the chair.
“Sit.”
After a moment, she finally gave up.
And sat.
Victory.
Jay Jay’s pov –
I sat beside ma’am
For some reason.
Talking to her felt easy.
Comfortable.
“Today is my husband’s birthday.”
Her smile immediately softened.
“You seem excited.”
“I am.”
She laughed.
“Very excited.”
I smiled.
The way she spoke about her husband felt genuine.
Warm.
Like she truly loved him.
And somehow
That made me happy.
“The decorations are beautiful.” I said
“Most of them were Keigan’s idea.” She replied I laughed.
“Really?”
“Yes.”
Serina nodded dramatically.
“Which explains why three balloons exploded this morning.” She said I couldn’t stop myself.
I laughed.
A real laugh.
One that felt lighter than usual.
For a moment…
I forgot everything.
The marriage.
The pressure.
Everything.
Then my eyes landed on the family photos nearby.
And my smile slowly faded.
The family looked so happy.
So complete.
So loved.
A small ache formed inside my chest.
I wondered what it felt like.
To belong somewhere like this.
We were talking then a hand came in front of me I looked up Standing Mark keifer Watson The payment in his hand I took it “Thank You ” i said “Why are you saying it , i should say Thank You” he said I nodded and kept it in my purse.
Authors Pov –
Suddenly—
“Hide!”
Keigan appeared from nowhere.
Jay Jay nearly jumped.
“What?”
“Quick!”
“Why?”
“No time.”
Even Serina.
“What is happening?”
“Birthday surprise.”
Keigan whispered.
“Oh.” Jay Jay said
They all hide behind the wall on the side
Meanwhile keifer standing there didn’t came to hide “Oh , kuya you are destroying my surprise”
Keifer made a annoying face and came to hide
There was no space left on the other side
So he came and stood beside jay jay .
A few moments later.
The back door opened.
Footsteps echoed through the house.
Then—
“SURPRISE!”
The entire room exploded with excitement.
Kaizar Watson froze.
Completely shocked.
For a second everyone stared.
Then Kaizar laughed.
A loud, genuine laugh.
The kind that immediately filled the room.
And somehow…
Jay Jay found herself smiling too.
Authors Pov –
As the laughter slowly settled,
Everyone came out and started to wish him
Jay Jay stood a little far from them
Kaizar’s gaze landed on the unfamiliar girl standing backside A gentle smile appeared on his face.
“And who might this young lady be?”
Before Jay Jay could answer—
Serina immediately stepped forward.
“This is Jay Jay.”
“The girl I told you about.”
Kaizar looked curious.
“The one from the bakery?”
“Yes.”
“The same girl who helped me when I felt dizzy.”
“The same girl who caught me before I fell.”
“And the same girl who makes those amazing almond cookies.”
Jay Jay looked embarrassed.
“Ma’am” jay jay said
“What?”
“I am just telling the truth.” Serina said
Kaizar laughed.
Then looked at Jay Jay.
“Then thank you.”
Jay Jay blinked.
“For what?”
“For taking care of my wife ”
For a moment…
She didn’t know what to say.
Nobody had ever thanked her like that before.
“It was nothing.”
Kaizar shook his head.
“If it made Serina happy, then it wasn’t nothing.”
A small smile appeared on Jay Jay’s face.
Jay Jay’s Pov –
The more time I spent with them…
The more I realized something.
This family was different.
Very different.
They laughed together.
Teased each other.
Talked freely.
Nobody seemed afraid of saying the wrong thing.
Nobody looked unhappy.
It felt…
Warm.

A few moments later—
They all gathered to cut the cake
Kaizar stood in the middle
Serina on one side and keifer on the other side Keigan recording the Vedio Serina saw jay jay a little far She called her “Jay Jay come here ”
Jay Jay hesitated and came towards her
Jay Jay got emotional
She misses this
Years ago
The birthday celebration she use to do with her dad She started to miss him But she controlled her feelings After the cake cutting They all set on the couch the settled on the garden backside Serina suddenly remembered something.
“Jay Jay.”
“Yes?”
“Do you do home deliveries?”
Jay Jay blinked.
“Home deliveries?” Jay asked
“Yes.” Serina said
Serina nodded seriously.
“I require almond cookies every day.”
The entire room burst into laughter.
“Mom.”
Keifer sighed.
“What?”
“You make it sound like a medical requirement.” Keifer said “It is ” serina said .
Kaizar nodded.
“I agree.”
Keifer immediately looked betrayed.
“Dad?”
“Your mother becomes dangerous without cookies.” Kaizar said Jay Jay couldn’t stop laughing.
For the first time…
She looked completely relaxed.
Then she answered.
“Actually…”
“We don’t normally do home deliveries.”
Serina immediately looked disappointed.
“Oh.”
“But…”
Jay Jay continued.
“I can bring them myself if you want.”
The moment she said that—
Serina’s eyes lit up.
“Really?”
Jay Jay nodded.
“I pass through this area often.”
Jay Jay said
“Wonderful.”
Keigan raised his hand.
“Congratulations.”
“What?”
“You’ve officially adopted another child.”
Everyone laughed.
Even Keifer.
Keifer’s Pov –
I wasn’t sure why…
But seeing Jay Jay laugh felt strangely satisfying.
Usually when I saw her…
She smiled.
But today was different.
Today she looked genuinely happy.
And somehow…
I preferred this version of her.
Much more.

Soon it was time for dinner.
Everyone gathered around the table.
Jay Jay immediately stood up.
“I should leave now.”
“No.” Kaizar said
“You can’t leave this easily, you helped my wife , make the best cookies for her and the tasty cake today , just stay here for the dinner atleast for serina ”
Jay Jay froze.
Yet Happy
Before jay could say something more
“Stay.”
“Please.”
“Just dinner.”
Jay Jay felt soo good as kaizar said her to stay She finally gave up “Okay.”
Keigan celebrated like he had won a championship.
Jay Jay’s Pov –
Dinner started peacefully.
For exactly three minutes.
Then Keigan decided to cause problems.
“Try this.”
He placed food onto my plate.
“It is my favorite.”
I smiled.
And trusted him.
Big mistake.
The moment I took a bite—
My eyes widened.
It was spicy.
Very spicy.
Extremely spicy.
I immediately reached for a glass of water
Empty.
Great.
Just great.
Before I could panic—
A glass appeared beside me.
Cold water.
I looked up.
Keifer.
“Drink.”
I immediately grabbed it.
Relief washed over me.
I could finally breathe again.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Keifer said
“Keigan , next time think before doing something” his voice rose “It’s fine, Keifer.” I said softly.
“No, it’s not.”
I looked at him.
His expression had become serious.
“You could have gotten hurt.”
For a moment I froze.
Because nobody had said something like that before.
“Okay, okay.
I am sorry.”
“I didn’t think it was that spicy.” Keigan said “You never think.” Keifer replied.
For some reason…
Hearing someone worry about me felt strange.
Yet comforting.
Meanwhile—
Serina was trying very hard not to laugh.
Kaizar was looking away.
And Keigan looked guilty.
Very guilty.
“You did that on purpose.” Kaizar said to keigan “No.” Keigan said “Keigan.” Kaizar said “Maybe” keigan said while smiling The entire table erupted into laughter.
Authors Pov –
The rest of the evening passed surprisingly quickly.
Stories were shared.
Old memories were discussed.
And somehow
Jay Jay found herself laughing more than she had in weeks.
Even months.
For a brief moment.
She forgot about everything.
The marriage.
The pressure.
The sadness.
Everything.
Everyone sat on the couch
Jay Jay saw a frame rested on the side of the table While seeing the she got emotional Remembering her dad Keifer came from nowhere “Everything is fine ??
”
Jay Jay immediately looked at him” Yes ” she said with a smile Keifer saw she was looking at the family picture “This is our family picture of the trip to Singapore” he said Jay Jay nodded and said” Your family looks so happy”
Keifer smiled and looked at the photograph.
Then at Jay Jay.
“We’re not perfect.”
Jay Jay smiled softly.
“Still looks nice.”
For a brief moment…
Neither of them looked away.
Jay Jay’s Pov –
I didn’t want the evening to end.
The realization surprised me.
But it was true.
For the first time in a very long time…
I felt comfortable.
I felt welcome.
And maybe
I felt a little less lonely.
Authors Pov –
Eventually, Jay Jay stood.
“I really have to go now.”
This time nobody stopped her.
Instead
Serina walked over and hugged her.
A real hug.
Warm.
Gentle.
Motherly.
Jay Jay froze.
Completely froze.
Because nobody had hugged her like that in years.
Jay Jay hugged her back
For a second, Serina froze.
Then her arms tightened around Jay Jay.
As if she knew.
As if she somehow understood that the girl standing in front of her wasn’t used to being hugged.
A strange ache settled inside Serina’s heart.
She didn’t know why.
But she wanted to see Jay Jay smile more often.
“Visit again.”
Serina smiled.
“I’d love to.”
Jay Jay swallowed hard.
Then nodded.
“I will.”
Just as she was about to leave—
“Wait.”
Serina pulled out her phone.
Jay Jay looked confused.
“What happened?”
“Give me your number.” Serina said
“My number?” Jay Jay asked
“Yes.”
“So you can message me when you get home.” Serina said For a moment Jay Jay simply stared.
Nobody had ever asked that before.
Nobody had ever worried about whether she reached home safely.
Seeing her hesitation, Serina smiled.
“I’ll worry otherwise.”
Slowly.
Jay Jay nodded.
A few moments later they exchanged numbers.
“Don’t forget.”
“I won’t.”
“Good.”
Serina smiled proudly.
Keifer’s Pov –
I watched the entire exchange quietly.
Then Jay Jay finally walked toward the gate.
For some reason…
My feet moved before my brain could stop them.
“Jay Jay.”
She turned around.
The evening breeze gently moved her hair.
For a moment.
Neither of us spoke.
Then I finally said—
“Get home safely.”
A soft smile appeared on her face.
One that looked different.
Warmer.
More genuine.
“I will.”
For a few seconds…
Neither of us moved.
Then she spoke.
“Goodnight, Keifer.”
I froze.
Not sir.
Not Mr.
Watson.
Keifer.
Just Keifer.
And somehow…
Hearing my name from her felt different.
“Goodnight, Jay Jay.”
She smiled one last time.
Then walked away.
I watched until she disappeared beyond the gate.
She took her vehicle and went out
I just stood there for some more time
Replaying the moments when she was with us
Happy
Genuinely smiling

From the living room window—
Serina and Kaizar watched everything.
Silently.
Then Kaizar spoke.
“Interesting.”
Serina smiled.
“Very.”
Very interesting indeed.
Jay Jay’s Pov –
As I reached the bakery
Kept the vehicle
Gave the payment to the manager and then left for home As i reached my home My phone vibrated.
A new message.
Serina Ma’am –
“Did you reached home ?”
I stared at the screen.
Then smiled.
A real smile.
The kind that reached my eyes.
Maybe…
Just maybe…
Today was one of the happiest days I had experienced in a very long time.
And somehow
The thought made my heart feel warm.
I replied to it
“Yes ma’am , Thank You for today ”
The reply came immediately
“It’s totally fine jay jay , Good Night”
I replied
“Good night ma’am ”
I walked inside
The smile disappeared.

As jay jay walked inside
She saw Jeana n adrin sitting in the hall
Jeana said” The Groom’s family wants to meet you after some days ”
Jay Jay got shocked
And just simply nodded and went upstairs
She changed in her night dress and took her phone Staring at the serina’s message She smiled again The day she felt loved ♡ Guyss here it is .
