The morning sun was fully up by the time Kaelara and Lioran finally made their way downstairs to the main hall of The Rusty Cactus. The tavern buzzed with the breakfast crowd. Adventurers swapped loud stories, merchants haggled over trade routes, and locals laughed over plates of food and frothy mugs of ale.
Kaelara walked with her usual confident swagger. Her tall, powerful body drew plenty of eyes as she moved. She had chosen a slightly more modest version of her usual outfit today, though it still proudly displayed her toned abs and generous cleavage. Her new B-rank guild badge gleamed on her sash. Lioran walked beside her, noticeably flushed and a little bow-legged. Fresh hickeys peeked from beneath his collar, and he kept shooting embarrassed glances at the tall futa beside him.
They claimed a large table near the window. Kaelara ordered generously, platters of grilled meat, spiced eggs, fresh flatbread, honeyed fruits, and two large mugs of sweetened milk tea.
As they ate, Kaelara’s hand casually rested on Lioran’s thigh under the table. Her fingers squeezed occasionally, tracing slow, teasing circles that made him squirm in his seat.
“So,” she said between bites, her voice low and playful enough for only him to hear. “How’s that tight little ass feeling this morning, my cute elf? Still sore from taking every thick inch of me last night?”
Lioran nearly choked on his tea. His long ears burned bright red as he shot her a mortified glare. “Will you shut up about that?!” he hissed under his breath. “People are going to hear you, you shameless oversized pervert.”
Kaelara grinned wickedly and gave his thigh another firm squeeze. “Let them hear. Maybe they should know exactly who that pretty ass belongs to now.” She leaned closer, her breath warm against his sensitive ear. “Every time you shift in that chair, I bet you can still feel me deep inside you, stretching you open and filling you up. Am I right?”
Lioran’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. “I hate you,” he muttered, though the way he subtly pressed his thigh against her hand said otherwise. “You’re going to get us kicked out of the inn before we even finish breakfast.”
“No you don’t,” she replied cheerfully, popping a piece of honeyed fruit into her mouth. “You loved every second. Especially when you were moaning my name and cumming all over the sheets like a good little toy. Admit it. You’re already thinking about tonight, aren’t you?”
“Shut. Up.” Lioran elbowed her lightly under the table, but a tiny, reluctant smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
Before he could say anything else, a group of adventurers at a nearby table noticed them. A burly human warrior with a prominent scar across his cheek raised his mug in greeting.
“Hey! You’re the new girl who crushed Garrick during the guild test yesterday, right? That was one hell of a show!”
Kaelara leaned back in her chair, radiating arrogance and effortless charm. “That’s right. Name’s Kaelara. Just got into town and already making my mark.”
The group laughed appreciatively. One of the women, a sharp-eyed red-haired archer, smirked as she looked between them. “You two look… awfully close. That your boyfriend?”
Lioran stiffened instantly. Before he could deny it, Kaelara wrapped a strong arm around his waist and pulled him flush against her side.
“Something like that,” she answered boldly, her hand still possessively on his thigh. “He’s mine. My personal scout and very talented companion.”
Lioran sputtered in embarrassment. “I am not your… ugh, never mind.”
The adventurers laughed and cheered. A few even raised their mugs in a playful toast.
“Welcome to Dunewatch!” the warrior called out. “If you’re as strong as they say, you should join the next caravan escort. Pays well, and we could use someone who can actually fight.”
Kaelara’s eyes gleamed with interest. “We’ll think about it. My pretty little elf here is quite talented too. He’s excellent at scouting… and other things.”
Lioran groaned and hid his face behind his mug. “I’m going to murder you in your sleep,” he whispered.
Kaelara just laughed and stole a piece of meat from his plate, popping it into her mouth with a wink. “You can try, Lio. But we both know how that ends. With you moaning underneath me again.”
Lioran let out a long-suffering sigh, but the small, secret smile on his face betrayed him once more.
Kaelara’s turquoise eyes gleamed with sharp interest as she spent the next twenty minutes socializing. She laughed at their jokes, asked clever questions, and steered the conversation exactly where she wanted it, all while gathering valuable intelligence about the local power structure, dangerous areas nearby, and the latest rumors circulating through Dunewatch.
According to the locals, the Umbral Conclave in the south had grown unusually active lately. Dark-robed mages and shadowy figures had been spotted near the borders more frequently. Bandit attacks on the trade routes through the Ashen Steppe had increased dramatically, making caravan escorts both more dangerous and far more lucrative. Most intriguing of all, a powerful new ruin had recently been discovered in the Whispering Ruins east of town. Strange lights and bursts of ancient magic had been reported by the few scouts’ brave enough to approach.
Kaelara listened carefully, her sharp, strategic mind analyzing every piece of information in real time. Excellent, she thought with growing excitement. A rising dark faction for potential alliances, easy bandit prey to farm reputation and loot, and a juicy new dungeon full of artifacts. This world really is handing me everything on a silver platter.
Lioran occasionally added details from his own scouting experience. He slowly relaxed as he watched how naturally she took control of the conversation, turning a casual breakfast into her personal intelligence network.
When the crowd finally began to disperse, Kaelara turned back to Lioran. Her expression shifted from charming socialite to something far more serious and scheming. She took a slow sip of her sweetened milk tea, then leaned in closer, speaking quietly.
“Alright. Time to plan our next move.”
Her voice was low, confident, and filled with ambition.
“We’re not staying as weaklings in this dusty border town for long. I want real power. Real influence. Here’s what I’m thinking…”
She laid out her vision with clear, calculated steps.
“First, we take on a few more high-reward quests to build our reputation and funds. We might even clear out some of those bandit camps nearby. Easy experience and quick gold.”
“Then we investigate the Whispering Ruins. Ancient elven ruins like that usually mean powerful artifacts… and possibly more beautiful elves for my growing collection.” She gave Lioran a playful wink.
“And finally, we start building a proper force. Recruit loyal followers, expand our influence, and eventually move toward either the Umbral Conclave. The choice will depend on which one offers the better opportunity.”
Lioran stared at her, a mix of awe and nervousness written across his face. “You’re really planning to conquer everything, aren’t you? Are you crazy?”
Kaelara smirked and squeezed his thigh under the table again, her fingers tracing teasing circles against his inner thigh. “Of course, I am. This entire world is my playground. Why settle for anything less than total dominance?”
She leaned in even closer and whispered hotly into his sensitive ear, her breath sending a shiver down his spine. “And you’re going to help me build my empire… right by my side. My loyal, well-fucked little scout.”
Lioran shivered visibly but didn’t pull away. After a long moment he muttered quietly, cheeks still flushed, “You’re insane… But… I’m in.”
Kaelara’s smile widened into a predatory grin. “Good boy.”
She paid for their meal with a generous tip and stood up, stretching her tall, powerful body in a way that drew even more eyes from across the tavern. “Come on, Lio. Let’s go pick our next quest. The world isn’t going to conquer itself.”
As they left the inn together, Kaelara’s mind was already racing with dark, ambitious plans, and delicious thoughts of exactly what she would do to her cute elf again tonight.
