The next morning.
Shen Qingqing slowly opened her eyes and turned her head slightly.
Lu Qianshan was leaning against the headboard, holding a book in his hand. When he lifted his eyes, they met Shen Qingqing’s gaze.
Shen Qingqing quickly turned her head away.
This man…
A faint trace of joy stirred in her heart.
But thinking about the plot and her mission, Shen Qingqing quickly climbed out of bed.
She abruptly ruined the beautiful atmosphere and turned it into the scene of a corporate worker rushing to work.
Shen Qingqing went into the bathroom to wash up. After that, she changed clothes, put on light makeup, and carefully admired herself for a moment before turning to ask softly, “Qianshan, what do you think about me going to the company like this today?”
Lu Qianshan raised his head slightly and looked at her.
Shen Qingqing was wearing a women’s suit, her long hair draped over her shoulders. Her light makeup only emphasized the corners of her eyes, making her look both capable and… pure.
“Actually, you don’t have to go,” he said.
Shen Qingqing shook her head.
Mission 1 required her to obtain happiness, but happiness was a very broad concept. Just in case, letting the original body experience the workplace and realize her own “value” could also count.
After all, the “Shen Qingqing” in the original plot had been a complete tragic fool, trapped between the male and female leads until death, never escaping their entanglements let alone achieving any personal value.
Thinking of this, determination flashed in Shen Qingqing’s eyes.
“Actually, I didn’t want to go. But for you, I’ve decided to go.”
“Well then, I’ll be leaving first.”
Without waiting for Lu Qianshan to say anything more, Shen Qingqing greeted him and walked out of the room.
Leaving the villa, she took a car to Lu Group.
Looking at the 60-story building of Lu Group, Shen Qingqing shook her head slightly before stepping into the lobby.
Since Zhou Liuer had already given instructions, as soon as Shen Qingqing entered, the receptionist came out to guide her upstairs.
Shen Qingqing wasn’t surprised and followed along to the HR manager’s office.
She knocked on the door and pushed it open only to see a woman sitting inside.
It was her partner in cooperation, Zhou Liuer.
“Second Aunt?”
Zhou Liuer looked up. When she saw Shen Qingqing’s appearance, a flash of admiration crossed her eyes, but she said calmly, “Let’s talk. Why do you want to cooperate with me?”
Shen Qingqing knew this was Zhou Liuer’s doubt.
The large office fell into silence.
After a moment, Zhou Liuer saw Shen Qingqing pour herself a cup of tea. A bitter smile appeared on her face before she spoke.
“Of course… because I’m unwilling to accept it.”
“Second Aunt, I’m clearly the true daughter of the Shen family, yet a fake daughter has occupied my place. And I was even forced to marry a sickly vegetable in her place.”
“Watching the fake daughter live a flourishing life why should she?”
“I’m not willing to accept it! That’s why I want to cooperate with you.”
Her explanation made sense.
But what surprised Zhou Liuer was that a country girl could have such a sharp mind. Still, she quickly dismissed the doubt.
What she needed was a partner. Why be overly meticulous?
After all, water that is too clear has no fish; people who are too perceptive have no companions.
Thinking this, Zhou Liuer set her teacup down and said softly, “If you want to deal with Shen Baiyun, I do have some influence in the circle of wealthy ladies. I can help you.”
“Then thank you, Second Aunt.”
Seeing Shen Qingqing’s respectful attitude, Zhou Liuer felt satisfied and already considered her one of her own.
She then asked, “Tell me what position do you want in the company?”
“Of course, everything will be arranged by Second Aunt.”
Zhou Liuer nodded with satisfaction. After thinking for a moment, she said, “How about this you become the manager of the Second Sales Department?”
Shen Qingqing didn’t particularly care either way. She nodded slightly, accepting the position.
Zhou Liuer then arranged for her to officially join the company.
Sales Department Two.
The employees were whispering among themselves.
The old manager had retired two days ago, and everyone had been wondering who would become the new manager.
Just then, they suddenly noticed HR manager Zhou Liuer walking over with a beautiful woman.
“Could that be the new manager?”
“No way, I’ve never seen her in the company before.”
Seeing everyone still whispering, Zhou Liuer’s face darkened. She slammed a file on the desk and shouted, “Why aren’t you working?”
Everyone immediately fell silent.
Technically, Zhou Liuer didn’t have the authority to manage them. But now that her husband had become the company president, she obviously carried more influence.
Her expression softened slightly before she announced, “Everyone, I have an announcement.”
“This ”
She pulled Shen Qingqing forward. “ is your new manager, Shen Qingqing. Please welcome her.”
The employees had complicated expressions.
Some were angry, some indifferent, some disdainful.
Still, under Zhou Liuer’s lead, scattered applause sounded.
Shen Qingqing’s eyes shifted slightly.
This was her first day in charge. If she couldn’t establish authority now, things would be difficult later.
Even though she didn’t plan to stay here long.
She slowly said to Zhou Liuer, “Second Aunt, it seems the Second Sales Department really isn’t doing well. No wonder performance keeps declining. Just look at this work attitude…”
Zhou Liuer understood immediately that Shen Qingqing was asking for authority.
So she said, “From now on, you are the manager of the Second Sales Department. If employees are disobedient, you may fire them. The company is planning layoffs anyway.”
After saying that, Zhou Liuer left.
Leaving Shen Qingqing alone with the employees.
Shen Qingqing looked at them and softened her voice.
“I’m new here, and you’re all experienced employees. You already know the company rules. As long as you follow them properly, there won’t be any problems.”
“That’s all.”
After saying that, she turned and walked into her office.
She had no intention of correcting the department or helping the Lu Group improve sales.
She would simply let the bad atmosphere continue.
After all, that wasn’t her goal.
Back in the office, Shen Qingqing opened Feixin. Several red notification dots were flashing on Lu Qianshan’s profile picture.
Before she could check them, her phone rang.
“Have you arrived at Lu Group? Did everything go smoothly?”
“Very smoothly. I’m now the manager of the Second Sales Department.”
“This is all thanks to you, isn’t it?”
Shen Qingqing deliberately stretched the last word.
Lu Qianshan’s ears turned slightly red.
He suddenly understood why the Lu Group had fallen into trouble so easily.
Placing someone with no industry experience directly into management was almost unimaginable though if that person were Shen Qingqing, he would probably do the same.
A complicated thought flickered in Lu Qianshan’s eyes.
After a moment, he said, “I originally planned to keep hiding my identity for a while longer.”
“But now… I’m preparing to reveal it.”
