Beneath the White Tower, Victor stared at the dark red marker that had reappeared at the edge of his vision.
Without the slightest hesitation, he walked directly toward the elevator, the relaxed expression on his face disappearing as if it had never been there.
This was, of course, the same red target that had appeared in the first year training district earlier. Victor had already lost track of the target once after it disappeared beyond the system’s observable range, and this time, there were only twenty seven minutes remaining.
Victor had no intention of allowing that to happen a second time.
"What is it?" asked Cecilia when she noticed the change in his face. "Where are you going?"
"I suddenly remembered something."
"What?"
The elevator doors slowly opened. Victor stepped inside and replied without turning back. "I’m going to pick someone up."
Four hundred thirteen meters was not far, but they were currently dozens of meters underground beneath the White Tower. By the time they returned to the surface and reached the first year teaching district, several minutes would already be gone.
Cecilia remained where she was, watching his back, a frown slowly spreading across her beautiful face.
"Pick someone?"
"Mm."
"What could possibly be this urgent?"
"If I’m any later, that person might be finished," Victor replied. "We can catch up later."
The frown on Cecilia’s face deepened. The next second, she stepped inside as well.
Whatever Victor had suddenly remembered, it was clearly important enough to make him abandon their conversation halfway through. That alone was enough to arouse her curiosity.
Victor glanced at her, his eyebrows raised in confusion. "Why are you following me?"
"This is the academy," Cecilia remained calm. "I don’t need your permission to go anywhere."
"..."
"Fine. Whatever Her Highness wants, then." Victor shrugged.
Cecilia ignored the obvious sarcasm in his tone and quickly gave the command. "Ground floor."
Buzz!
The magical formation activated instantly, and silver white patterns rapidly lit up along the edges of the elevator. At the same time, the system countdown before Victor’s eyes continued falling.
[25 Minutes 51 Seconds.]

[Target’s destiny fluctuations are intensifying.]
Victor’s eyes narrowed. He didn’t know exactly what the system meant by "intensifying," but considering the rapidly falling countdown, it clearly wasn’t something he wanted to test.
"System, can you directly identify the target?"

A little over ten seconds later, the moment the doors on the first floor opened, he had already stepped outside, with Cecilia following closely behind.
The White Tower stood in the center of the academy, while the first year teaching district was located southeast. As the two crossed the central plaza, the surrounding students immediately began stirring.
Victor was already a famous figure in the academy. As for Cecilia, there was even less need to explain. She was the Third Princess and one of the academy’s greatest geniuses. Either one of them appearing alone would already draw countless eyes, yet now, the two of them had walked out of the White Tower together.
"Isn’t that Victor?"
"Why is he with Her Highness Cecilia?"
"Weren’t they already..."
"Shh. Do you want to die?"
Low whispers came from all around them, but Victor ignored everything, while Cecilia looked as though she had not heard a word.
After walking several dozen meters, however, she suddenly asked, "You know exactly where you’re going?"
"More or less."
"Who told you?"
"Instinct."
Cecilia turned her head and glanced at him. "You seem to have a lot of instincts."
"Geniuses usually do."
"This is the first time I’ve realized you’re this shameless."
Victor’s footsteps paused slightly as he suddenly thought of something.
"Wait, why are you still following me?"
"My family literally owns this school. I can be wherever I want to be," Cecilia replied, her tone filled with undisguised arrongance.
Victor: "..."
After her Favorability reached twenty, had this woman started speaking more casually to him?
Victor couldn’t remember Cecilia ever talking to him like this before. Then again, considering their previous relationship, there hadn’t exactly been many normal conversations between them in the first place.
But now was clearly not the time to care about that.

Victor increased his pace upon seeing this.
The first year teaching district was already visible ahead. Compared to the second year area, there were clearly far more students here, and young figures dressed in black academy uniforms filled the corridors, lawns, and public training areas.
There were no unified classes that afternoon, so many students had gathered around the outdoor training field.
And the system marker was inside.

Once Victor truly approached the outdoor training field, he finally heard voices from inside.
"Again!"

"Eight?"
"I think nine."

Victor slowed his steps as the final distance between himself and his target disappeared.
His gaze followed the source of the students’ ridicule, and there it was.
...The system’s dark red marker was on the person lying on the ground.
