“Tsuna, hurry up or you’ll be late on your first day of school!”

Nana’s cheerful voice echoed from downstairs.

Meanwhile, Tsuna stood frozen in front of the mirror.Full novel: Vongola X Yozakura: A KHR FANFIC — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Slowly…

he flexed his right arm.

The fabric of his new white uniform tightened slightly around toned muscle.

Damn, such a big, juicy bicep…

Tsuna stared at his reflection in awe.

“Is this puberty…”

His voice trembled emotionally.

All of that hellish exercise under Reborn was worth it!

Months of strict training with the Body Improvement Club had completely changed him.

The results were undeniable.

His shoulders now pulled his white uniform tight across his frame, the fabric tightening around toned muscle instead of hanging loose.

His arm muscles displayed clear definition, visible even through the sleeves, while his chest pressed firmly against the fabric with every breath.

His back had widened too, tapering sharply down to a lean waist that gave his body a clean V-tapered physique.

Tsuna’s eyes watered.

“Ichi… Ni… San… my children…”

He gently touched his major muscles emotionally.

“Papa is proud…”

WHACK.

Reborn suddenly kicked the back of his head.

“Ow!?”

Tsuna crashed face-first into the wall.

“You look like a crazy pervert when you excessively admire your body.

Hurry up and get ready!

You’re gonna be late.”

Reborn then snickered.

“You can start bragging once your physique reaches even one-tenth of mine.”

Tsuna slowly looked at Reborn’s tiny baby body in disbelief.

“…What is there to even compare with?”

WHACK.

Another kick landed instantly.

“Don’t get cocky”

Reborn said coldly.

“Don’t forget that you’re still a loser who secretly reads books titled How to Make Friends In 100 Ways.”

Tsuna’s soul nearly left his body.

“Stop exposing me!”

He lunged toward Reborn to cover his mouth before the damn hitman could reveal more.

Unfortunately, he got kicked again.

Tsuna just gave up.

No matter how much his body got stronger, he still couldn’t defeat Reborn.

In the first place, how could such a tiny body even contain such terrifying power!?

This was one of the great mysteries in the world.

After being kicked to reality, Tsuna hurried downstairs.

The moment Nana saw him, she gasped softly with her eyes sparkling brightly.

“Tsuna…”

For a moment, she looked like an emotional mother who saw her son become handsome overnight.

“You look so good in your new uniform!

I bet you’ll capture the hearts of every girls in your new class!”

“M-Mom, stop exaggerating…”

Nana smiled warmly.

“Good luck on your first day, Tsuna!”

Tsuna smiled while putting on his shoes.

“Thanks, Mom!

I’m heading out!”

Nana waved enthusiastically.

“Be careful!”

She continued waving even after Tsuna disappeared down the street.

Her chest swelled proudly.

If that Iemitsu saw how much his son changed… He would probably cry.

She couldn’t help but gently giggle.

Nana looked toward Reborn.

“Reborn-kun, please take care of Tsuna as usual, okay?”

Reborn smiled faintly beneath his fedora.

“Yes, Maman.”

A strange glint flashed across his eyes.

“I’ll make sure no trouble reaches him.”

Now that the kid had finally been sharpened, all that remained…

was the stage.

On the way to school…

SWOOOSH!

Tsuna’s bad luck strikes again.

A soccer ball suddenly flew toward the carefree young boy at terrifying speed.

“LOOK OUT!”

A sharp stabbing sensation suddenly assaulted Tsuna’s head, allowing him to shift his body sideways on time.

WHOOSH.

The soccer ball narrowly missed the back of his head.

“…?”

Tsuna blinked.

“Woah, sorry…!”

The soccer players rushed over, staring at him in disbelief.

He hadn’t even looked back yet he avoided the ball like he could see from behind his own head.

“It’s okay!

I didn’t get hit at all!’

Tsuna picked up the ball before tossing it back.

As he continued walking, he quietly hummed while pondering.

“My sixth sense is really handy…

Thanks to it, I can somewhat avoid my bad luck!”

Since he was young, the various accidents caused by his horrible luck made him develop a unique sense toward danger.

“…This is basically Spider-Man’s Spidey Sense.”

Using his favorite superhero as a reference, Tsuna named his sense of danger as Sixth Sense.

Not only that, his eyes also had their own special traits.

Whenever he focus deeply, people’s actions grow clearer in his eyes.

Essentially, his eyes could slowly read movements, especially during fights.

Tsuna suddenly paled.

“…Please don’t let me start seeing ghosts someday.”

Just imagining it gave him chills.

As he continued toward school, a disturbance suddenly caught his attention from a nearby alleyway.

He could hear a bunch of people shouting and cursing each other like they were in the middle of a fight.

Tsuna curiously peeked inside and immediately froze.

Several tall delinquents were ganging up on someone.

Wait, their uniforms looked familiar….

Tsuna observed their uniforms before realizing what school they were from.

Damn, another group of delinquents from Ishiyama High School!

It lived up to its reputation of being a school full of monstrous delinquents.

The person they were ganging up looked around Tsuna’s age.

And judging from his uniform, he attended Namimori High too.

“Damn brat!”

One thug shouted angrily.

“Quit acting like some ally of justice!”

He punched the boy hard enough to knock him down.

Yet the boy stood up again while glaring fiercely at them.

“You losers only know how to gang up on weak people!”

He pointed angrily toward another injured student lying nearby.

“I won’t forgive you for hurting him!”

Tsuna’s expression darkened.

So they were bullies beating up people…

“Damn freak!”

“Why won’t you stay down!?

Are you a damn cockroach that always keep standing up!?”

“I’m not a cockroach!

I’m…”

The strange boy suddenly pulled several small pellets from his pocket.

“…a Ninja!”

He threw them.

“Ninpo: Flash Bomb!”

BOOM!

POP!

Bright sparks exploded like fireworks.

“Ow!

My eyes!”

The attacks weren’t powerful, but they were flashy and disorienting.

“You little!”

The thugs angrily surrounded him.

“Oh no…”

Tsuna stiffened.

I should call the police…

Thud!

But when he turned around, he bumped into someone massive.

“…Huh?”

Tsuna slowly looked upward.

The man towering before him looked gigantic with solid muscles bulging beneath his clothes.

Compared to this guy, Tsuna felt stupid for admiring himself too much earlier.

Damn genetics!

“Boss!”

The delinquents quickly brightened up after seeing the huge man before noticing Tsuna.

“Oh shit, we got a witness.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he won’t snitch.”

The muscular thug cracked his fists.

“A nosy rat…”

He grinned maliciously.

“Is my favorite kind to beat.”

Without a warning, he threw a straight punch toward Tsuna’s face.

“I’ll fucking beat you up until you don’t remember what you saw here!”

If this was before, Tsuna would have felt very scared.

Yet strangely, Tsuna only felt slight fear now.

He inhaled deeply.

Remember your spars with the bros…

Wait, maybe not.

His body shivered remembering Tenga’s punches.

Tsuna focused.

Compared to Reborn, this guy was like a kid with a knife.

His eyes sharpened and the world became clearer.

He tilted his head sideways.

WHOOSH.

The punch barely missed him, the thug blinking in surprise.

“…Hoh?”

He took a boxing stance.

“You dodged that?”

His grin widened.

“Now that I look at you properly…

you look tough.

This’ll be more fun than expected.”

Tsuna steadied himself, observing quite nervously.

Based on his stance, I’m certain this huge guy knows how to fight.

A quick jab shot toward him.

However, it was slower than Tenga’s jab with Tsuna dodging it rather easily.

The thug threw more quick punches, but Tsuna avoided them by either rolling and slipping with ease.

The thug’s punches grew faster and rougher as irritation built.

“DAMN RAT!

STOP DODGING!

FIGHT ME LIKE A TRUE MAN!”

Tsuna ignored him completely.

His mind entered full concentration, his opponent’s movement growing clear enough for his eyes to predict his next move.

When the thug’s irritation clouded his mind, his swings became more aggressive but also full of openings.

Due to that, Tsuna managed to see a line that connected him to that opening.

He immediately stepped inward, twisted his hips, and drove his fist upward for an uppercut while following that line.

BAM!

The thug’s head snapped backward violently, his massive body collapsing onto the ground unconscious.

All it took was one punch for a complete knockout.

Silence filled the alley as they watched the moment that resembled how the small David slayed the monstrously huge Goliath.

Tsuna stared blankly at his fist.

“…I knocked him out with just one punch?”

Even he looked shocked.

“B-Boss!?”

The remaining delinquents panicked.

Meanwhile, the strange boy grinned.

“Nice opening!”

He immediately charged forward and began beating down the thugs who dropped down their guards.

“Don’t get cocky!”

One tried attacking from behind, but Tsuna noticed him and body-slammed him into the wall.

“Oof!”

“Nice assist!”

The boy cheered.

Moments later, the remaining delinquents fled, leaving their injured companions behind the scenes.

“A bunch of spineless bastards.”

The boy snorted before turning toward Tsuna.

“Man, thanks!

Couldn’t have won that easily without you.”

Now calmer, Tsuna properly looked at him.

The guy was strong.

Not just physically, but mentally too.

Even while outnumbered, he still stood up to protect someone weaker.

“What happened exactly?”

Tsuna asked.

“I saw them beating that guy for fun, so I stepped in.”

The boy answered while scratching his nose.

“Didn’t expect THAT many though.

Clearly, my ninja training is incomplete.”

…Ninja?

Tsuna tilted his head.

Now that he remember, this guy mentioned it before too.

“My name’s Rekka Hanabishi!”

He declared proudly.

“A ninja-in-training!’

His eyes sparkled intensely when he mentioned ninjas.

I see!

Tsuna’s eyes then flashed with realization.

He suffers from severe chuunibyou!

Still, Tsuna was no to judge someone.

Rekka seemed like a good guy.

“I’m Tsunayoshi Sawada….

You can call me Tsuna.”

“Then call me Rekka!”

Tsuna asked to be certain.

“Are you from Namimori High too?”

“Yep!

Wait, we have the same uniform!”

Rekka suddenly grinned brightly.

“What year are you?”

“First year.”

“Me too!”

Rekka grabbed Tsuna’s shoulders dramatically.

“This must be fate!

Let’s become comrades!”

Tsuna tilted his head before realization hit him.

“You mean… friends?”

“That’s right!”

Tsuna froze briefly.

Friend…?

An actual friend!

Tsuna quickly nodded.

“Okay!”

Inside his heart, Tsuna screamed emotionally.

The book really worked!

My money wasn’t wasted!

“Since we’re friends now…”

Rekka whispered mysteriously.

“I’ll show you my secret ninja technique.”

He extended his fingers dramatically.

“Ninpo: Blaze!”

FWOOSH.

A tiny flame suddenly appeared from between his fingers.

Tsuna’s eyes nearly popped out.

“Ninjutsu really exist!?”

Rekka immediately laughed awkwardly.

“N-No!

I guess this flame is kind of my superpower…”

Tsuna stared at the flame seriously.

First Dying Will Flames.

And now this.

Tsuna could vaguely feel that there exist a hidden supernatural side in this world.

However, he suddenly felt something amiss, so he checked the time.

And froze.

“…We’re late.”

Rekka looked too.

“…We’re gonna be late to school!”

The two immediately sprinted toward school at full speed.

As they disappeared, Reborn silently emerged from the shadows nearby, his eyes calmly gazing at Rekka.

“Interesting…”

Eventually, they arrived at the class list board with Rekka panting slightly.

“OH!”

Rekka pointed excitedly.

“Tsunayoshi Sawada!

That’s your name isn’t it!?

We’re classmates!

Class 1-A!”

“Seriously!?”

Tsuna brightened immediately before quickly searched for another name.

Mutsumi Yozakura.

Class 1-A.

Relief instantly washed over him.

“Seems like we’re classmates again, Tsuna.”

Tsuna froze.

That familiar gentle voice…

He slowly turned around.

Mutsumi stood there smiling softly beside Kyoko.

“Wow, what a relief!”

Kyoko smiled happily.

“We’re all together again!

I’m glad our study group will continue!”

For a moment, Tsuna genuinely felt emotional.

After so long… he finally saw her again.

“Yeah… I’m glad.”

He smiled warmly.

Rekka immediately elbowed him.

“You look like some maiden in love.”

“Shut up…!”

Tsuna’s face reddened.

Mutsumi then noticed Rekka standing beside Tsuna.

“…No way.”

She covered her mouth dramatically.

“Tsuna-kun finally made his first friend…”

Her eyes even looked slightly watery.

“You’re making me sound like some lonely loser!”

Tsuna paused.

“…Wait, I actually was.”

Kyoko giggled.

Even Mutsumi laughed softly before she looked at him happily.

“I’m really glad you made a new friend, Tsuna-kun.”

Something inside Tsuna’s chest felt warm again.

Rekka introduced himself.

“I’m Hanabishi Rekka!

If you ever need a ninja’s help, call me anytime!”

Kyoko blinked politely.

“…Nice to meet you?”

Mutsumi smiled awkwardly too.

“…You certainly have a unique personality.”

“I hear that a lot!”

Rekka laughed loudly.

Soon, the school’s opening ceremony began.

The newly appointed vice principal, Hirukawa-sensei, stood before the students while delivering his speech calmly.

Yet for some reason, Tsuna kept feeling strange.

It felt like the new vice principal kept occasionally glancing toward him.

And every time their eyes almost met, Tsuna felt chills.

“…Am I imagining things?

Or does that vice principal keep eerily glancing at me?”

Rekka casually patted his back.

“There, there.

Maybe he secretly likes you.”

“Don’t joke about that!”

Tsuna felt immediate chills hearing those word.
