20 Little Troublemaker’s Morning Sickness, Restless Every Day
“No! No! I haven’t agreed to marry you yet, and I haven’t agreed to keep this child either.”
Ling Qing Ruan squirmed restlessly in Si Zhanhan’s embrace, completely uncooperative—one moment pounding his chest, the next pushing him away, tormenting Second Master to the point of utter despair.
The servants nearby were stunned. This woman was truly… too bold, daring to treat Second Master like this while basking in his favor.
Si Zhanhan helplessly grasped the girl’s flailing hands, patiently gazing at the little troublemaker in his arms. “Ruan Ruan, stop making a fuss, alright?”
It was his first time encountering such a noisy and troublesome woman.
Ling Qing Ruan lifted her head pitifully. “I haven’t agreed to you yet.”
“I’ve already told you, you’re carrying my child in your belly. Sooner or later, you’ll have to marry me. Do you want our baby to grow up without a father from birth?”
Ling Qing Ruan covered her stomach with both hands, not wanting her baby to be without a dad. A child without a father would be so pitiful.
Wait—who said she was going to give birth to this child?
“Si Zhanhan, I haven’t agreed to have this baby yet, and you’re already worrying about whether she’ll have a father or not.”
Si Zhanhan replied, “Be good. Once you have the baby, you can do whatever you want. I won’t stop you. I’ll take care of the baby, alright?”
“That still won’t do… I’ve heard that after giving birth, you become old and ugly, with lots of unsightly stretch marks on your stomach. You might even gain weight.”
Ling Qing Ruan touched her pretty little face, terrified most of all of becoming ugly.
“You won’t. I’ll have someone buy the best scar removal cream from abroad, guaranteed to leave no marks at all. Besides, our Ruan Ruan is so young and beautiful—she’ll still be gorgeous after having a baby.”
Si Zhanhan patiently coaxed the little troublemaker in his arms, using up all the patience he had in this lifetime.
Still, this young girl was naive and kind-hearted, easy to fool.
Ling Qing Ruan stared at the man before her with her clear, large eyes. Was it really like that?
(,,.,,)
Would she still be this beautiful after having the baby?
“Si Zhanhan, you’re not lying to me, are you?”
“Of course not, I swear.”
Si Zhanhan spoke with utmost seriousness, his dark pupils fixed on the girl’s delicate face as he gently pinched her cheek.
Such a nice texture…
Ling Qing Ruan truly believed the older man’s words. However, she had heard that childbirth was excruciatingly painful, and she was still so scared—so very scared. She was most afraid of pain.
“But… I’m afraid of the pain.”
“Be good, I promise you won’t feel any pain at all. I’ll hire the best doctors in the world.”
Si Zhanhan gently ruffled the young girl’s hair, one hand resting on her flat stomach. This was his first child, and he was determined to keep it.
He would also compensate Ling Qing Ruan doubly.
Ling Qing Ruan was genuinely tempted. She was still young and didn’t know how to be a mother, but the baby was in her belly, and she couldn’t bear to get rid of it.
Si Zhanhan said, “Let’s eat first. I’ve given you three days to think it over, so there’s no rush right now.”
Ling Qing Ruan, still held by Si Zhanhan, glanced at the surrounding servants with her dark, large eyes and gently pushed his chest. “Put me down. I can eat by myself. There are so many people watching.”
Si Zhanhan placed Ling Qing Ruan on the chair beside him. The food on the table had been specially prepared for a pregnant woman—light chicken soup and nutritious dishes.
Ling Qing Ruan had just taken a sip of chicken soup with her spoon when a greasy sensation overwhelmed her taste buds. Covering her mouth, she rushed to the bathroom and began retching.
“Ruan Ruan.”
Si Zhanhan followed closely behind, watching as Ling Qing Ruan leaned over vomiting. He gently patted her back and fetched her a glass of water.
Ling Qing Ruan was gasping for breath between retches, tears streaming from her eyes. “Si Zhanhan, I feel awful.”
Seeing the tear-streaked face of the delicate figure before him, Si Zhanhan felt a pang of heartache. He personally held her and tried feeding her a few bites, but Ling Qing Ruan had no appetite and petulantly turned her head away.
“I don’t want to eat. I don’t want any.”
“Just one more bite, be good Ruan Ruan.”
Si Zhanhan picked up a small dumpling for Ling Qing Ruan, but she refused to eat and pushed his hand away.
“I won’t eat it.”
“Then what would you like? I’ll have them prepare something else for you.”
Ling Qing Ruan, “I have no appetite now. I don’t want to eat anything.”
“At least drink this glass of milk.”
Ling Qing Ruan shook her head like a rattle-drum – milk tasted terrible, she absolutely wouldn’t drink it!
Facing the little troublemaker in his arms, Si Zhanhan was at his wit’s end and could only personally feed her with the cup.
Mu Yun and the others standing nearby could barely watch.
This woman was too spoiled. Now that she was carrying Second Master’s offspring, she became even more presumptuous, practically stepping all over their Second Master.
“One more sip.”
Ling Qing Ruan obediently took another sip from the cup, her dewy almond eyes gazing at the man so close to her. He treated her so well – it must be because of the child in her womb.
“Good girl, are you still feeling unwell? Let’s go see the doctor.”
Ling Qing Ruan nodded, then shook her head. “Si Zhanhan, you haven’t eaten yet.”
“I’m not hungry. Let’s see the doctor first.”
Si Zhanhan carried her to the car. Ling Qing Ruan lay listlessly in the man’s arms, feeling dizzy and nauseous. She would vomit after eating just a little food – it was so miserable…
Was this how everyone felt when carrying a baby?
Ji Linchen had just sent them away not long ago when they returned again.
Si Zhanhan carried her in, his tone unusually anxious. “Ji Linchen, what should we do about Ruan Ruan’s constant morning sickness? She can’t keep any food down.”
“Second Master, this… there’s no solution. You could try giving her lighter meals.”
“But she has no appetite. She only drank a little milk at noon today.”
Si Zhanhan’s frown deepened as if facing some major crisis. Even with billion-dollar contracts, he had never been this anxious.
Ji Linchen lifted his eyes. “The early stages of pregnancy are like this. It will get better after another two months. Just endure it for now, and you must keep a close watch on her – these months are most critical.”
“I’ll prepare a pregnancy diet plan for her. Follow this first and see if she still vomits.”
Having a child really had Second Master worried – carrying this woman around everywhere, neglecting company affairs just to hold her every day.
Back home, Si Zhanhan had someone prepare a meal according to the diet plan. Ling Qing Ruan’s morning sickness wasn’t as severe, and she managed to eat a little.
Two days passed with Ling Qing Ruan appearing sickly and listless, looking even thinner from the ordeal.
Si Zhanhan sat on the sofa with his legs crossed, his features appearing more defined and handsome under the lighting as he held a pregnancy care manual.
Ling Qing Ruan sat on the sofa eating candy, stealing glances at Si Zhanhan and taking several more pieces when he wasn’t looking.
“Si Zhanhan, it’s Sunday today. I still need to go back tonight, so please take me to Imperial University.”
“No, you should rest well at home for your pregnancy. You’re not allowed to go anywhere.”
