Secondly, she would accept bounties whenever convenient.

It would be her side hustle besides working at the Guide Building.

Thirdly, she really did not want any trouble, but from what was happening, she knew she would likely only become more tangled in this web.

So, it was better to know her enemy well.

That meant she would have to investigate Hope Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals.

The thought of this made her wince slightly.

It would not be very easy, she was sure.

And finally, she needed to know more about guidance.

The original owner had been nothing but a lovesick fool, and since she was only an F-Class Guide, she had not bothered to make any effort to learn more.

So, other than some things she had read herself and what the original owner had learned during a few classes, Hazel really did not know much.

Besides, from what had happened in the first Contamination Zone, she had a premonition that going into Contamination Zones would only become more dangerous.

So, it was better to learn more.

That way, she could save her life at some point in the future.

With that in mind, she immediately went online to search for books on guidance.

After going through some videos and hearing recommendations here and there, she finally singled out three books that were mentioned the most.

She ordered them.

An hour later, her delivery arrived.

She paid the robot delivery man before returning to the Guide Building.

She had just opened one of the books when there was a knock on the door.

Knowing it was Jane, she simply said, “Come in.”

Jane opened the door, and she was not alone.

Simon was right beside her.

“The Marshal came to see you.”

Hazel closed the book and nodded.

Jane then excused herself.

Hazel gestured toward the chair.

“Please, take a seat.”

Simon sat down.

“Can you give guidance to someone today?

I mean, right now?

“Yes, I can,” Hazel replied after he finished speaking.

She agreed just like that.

He had been about to mention how much they would pay her, but that did not seem necessary anymore.

After agreeing, Hazel stood up from the bed and went to put on her jacket.

While she was doing so, Simon stared at her.

She glanced at him.

“Is it not an urgent matter?”

“It is.”

He also stood up and left the room.

Hazel simply grabbed a hairband and used it to tie her hair before leaving the room.

She only took a few steps before she found Simon waiting for her in front of her door.

After closing the door, they both headed out of the Guide Building.

Simon’s hover car was parked in front of the building, so he directed Hazel toward it.

“This way.”

After entering the car and buckling up, the car slowly ascended before driving off in another direction.

The car was silent, but instead of being awkward, the silence felt natural.

This might have been because of their growing familiarity with each other.

Seeing that it would take a while to get there, Hazel opened her brain terminal and began watching short videos on the Star Net.

About an hour, or perhaps two, later, Hazel could no longer tell how much time had passed.

They finally arrived.

The hover car landed on the ground, and Hazel finally looked up from her brain terminal.

She closed it, and the door opened.

She stepped out of the car.

One decision Hazel had made before coming here that she really did not regret was wearing a jacket.

This place was cold.

Very cold.

And desolate—much more so than the Eastern Region.

“Where are we?” Hazel could not help but ask.

“The Northern Region,” Simon replied.

Hazel nodded.

They had only walked for a few minutes when lines of tents came into view.

The people outside glanced at the two of them for a few seconds before minding their own business.

Then he led Hazel inside.

The temperature outside and inside the tent was very different.

Hazel shivered from the cold.

Lying on a bed not far away was a silver-haired man.

His brow was covered with frost.

His condition was very bad, He was about to go berserk.

Hazel walked forward.

With every step she took, the temperature seemed to drop further until she reached the human refrigerator lying on the bed.

She sat beside him and grabbed his hands.

“Hiss!”

She quickly let go.

Simon had already walked up to her when she suddenly hissed.

When he saw her palms, they were already covered with frostbite.

He quickly searched through his bag and brought out a vial of medicine.

After opening the vial, he prepared to pour its contents onto her hands.

Suddenly, her hands were enveloped in blue seawater.

By the time the water disappeared, Hazel’s hands were back to normal.

She touched him again.

This time, her expression did not change as she closed her eyes and began mental guidance.

Simon, seeing this, closed the vial and returned it to his bag before leaving the tent, wanting to give them some privacy.

Coldness was all Hazel felt when she first entered the domain.

On the vast snowy land, a huge snowstorm was passing through.

She had just taken a step when the passing storm suddenly headed in her direction.

Even after changing her position, it kept following her.

So, she knew the Sentinel was resisting her.

Despite being in his current state, he was still resisting her attempt to enter his domain.

Seeing this, Hazel wrapped herself in blue seawater.

Now, a small frosty tornado had formed and was heading toward Hazel.

She stopped wrapping herself in water.

Instead, she also formed a tornado of her own.

The two tornadoes collided.

“Splash!”

The moment the two forces collided, the snow began to dissolve rapidly in the water.
