Rosie had noticed the changes in Hazel over the past few days, and she felt panicked.

After all, all her plans to get her parents to chase Hazel out of the house had failed.

This made her feel even more envious and hateful towards Hazel.Full novel: Wait, I’m only an F-class guide? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After all, she was an outsider who had taken twenty years of her life, yet her parents still hadn’t chased her out despite her being useless and even with all her attempts to frame her.

But thinking of the conversation she had with her mother, who had said that she had called the teachers to make sure Hazel was sent to the Eastern or Northern Region, Rosie felt relieved.

By then, her mother had promised that they would tell Hazel about removing her name from the Xu family tree.

When her mother told her this, she felt satisfied, though she did not show it, even crying that they were being cruel to her “sister.”

Rosie sat in front of the mirror, trying to practice her teary, heartbroken expression for when Hazel would be sent out of the Xu family.

Meanwhile, in a purple-themed room some doors away from Rosie’s room, a young woman with white hair was seated on a pink floor mat in a meditating position.

Tiny beads of sweat covered her forehead.

Hazel was currently standing in her spirit domain on a sandy beach.

The scent of sea salt assaulted her nose.

Her spirit body remained hidden beneath the mist, but her tendrils rushed towards her, brushing against her face and wrapping themselves around her wrist.

She tried to walk further into the misty area to see its body, but she was met with resistance.

There was a barrier blocking her from going further.

The more she tried to probe, the more sweat seeped from her forehead.

She was about to give up when she noticed that the haze seemed to have lifted slightly, revealing the silhouette of her spirit body.

She tried to look further, only for the remaining mist to thicken even more, covering the whole place completely.

Suddenly, the floor in front of her shifted.

Hazel quickly took a step back as the sand changed into a huge map, with every part of it covered in sand except for one location, which was covered in black sand.

Seeing that there was really no way forward, she decided to leave.

Then Hazel opened her eyes.

Standing up, she moved around.

For the past three days, she had been exercising morning and night, wanting to quickly get her body to its peak.

Though her body had not reached its peak yet, at least she was not as weak as before.

A beeping sound from her brain terminal interrupted her thoughts.

It was a message from the academy.

Hazel tapped on her brain terminal a few times, and the entire map of the empire appeared before her.

Matching the map with the one in her spirit domain, she realized that the area where the black-shaded sand was located was actually in the Eastern Region.

‘It seems even the world was helping her.’

Wanting to start packing, she went straight to the wardrobe and opened it.

The rows of colourful princess dresses were an eyesore.

She searched the wardrobe for a while, only to notice a compartment.

There, Hazel found five pieces of combat clothing.

After packing her things, she went downstairs to find something to eat.

She almost turned back after seeing Rosie and Mother Xu.

After all, in order to avoid a daily dose of tea, she made sure not to see Rosie and her family.

Rosie, dressed in a yellow dress, rushed towards her with an innocent expression.

“Sister, you are here.

Where were you posted?

I would be in the Imperial City.”

Hazel avoided her by stepping forward a bit.

“Eastern Region.”

After saying that, she went to the kitchen.

Behind her, Rosie’s aggrieved voice sounded.

“Mother, is Sister angry with me?

I did not mean to rush to her because I was happy to see her.”

‘Yeah, today’s dose of tea had arrived.’

Hazel picked up her food.

She wanted to go straight to her room as her feet were about to step onto the first step.

“Stop there, Hazel.

Can’t you see you made your sister cry?”

“What kind of attitude are you having?

You saw me just now and couldn’t even bother to greet.

Your sister…”

“What about my sister?

I replied to her, so what else should I have done?

Hugged her?”

Then she turned and went straight to her room.

A light flashed in Rosie’s eyes after Hazel left, but she continued her aggrieved look as she turned to confront her mother.

Deep down, she had realized that Hazel was no longer a fool.

Previously, after her mother had shouted at her, Hazel would also throw a tantrum, asking if they didn’t love her anymore.

But now, her reply was as calm as it could be.

She was a little worried, but thinking that in two days Hazel would no longer be a Xu family daughter, she pushed the worry to the back of her mind.

A day before leaving the Imperial City, Mother Xu and Father Xu called Hazel over to the study.

“After you leave tomorrow, your name will be removed from the family registry, and you will no longer be the daughter of our family,” Father Xu said with no emotion.

Then he picked up a card from the desk and handed it to Hazel.

“Here.

Take this card.

It contains 300,000 star credits.

It should be enough for you to take care of yourself until you start working.”

Hazel collected the card.

“Thank you for raising me all these years.”

She even gave a small bow.

Though they had become biased towards their own daughter and had neglected the original owner lately, they had raised her with love over the years.

She did not return to her room.

Instead, she headed out while ordering a driverless taxi, which took her straight to the bank.

The cashier smiled upon seeing her.

“How may I help you?”

“I want to transfer the money in this card to my account.

The PIN is at the back of the card.”

Hazel handed him the card.

After the transfer, Hazel checked her account and saw that she now had 300,900 star credits.

She happily walked to a nearby market, wanting to buy some weapons.

Now that she was leaving the house, she needed some weapons for protection.

She went into the first weapon store she saw.

Glancing around, she noticed that the prices of the guns and knives only increased the further she went inside.

So, she turned back.

After all, she had once been an assassin.

A pencil in her hands could be a weapon, so there was no need for an overly fancy weapon.

She just took a dagger made from a newly discovered ore.

Under the light, the dagger shimmered.

This could cut through anything.

Then, she also bought a small gun.

She paid the cashier and left the store.
