Waking up in her mother’s warm embrace, Arcana stretched her limbs and body in the cozy bed.

To Starshine, such a cute movement made her look as well-behaved and adorable as a kitten that had just woken up.

“Do you want to sleep a little longer?”

Starshine asked gently; if her daughter wanted to sleep a bit more, she was more than happy to provide her warm and comfortable embrace for a while longer.

“Mmm…

then…

then let’s sleep a little longer…”

Arcana, who wasn’t particularly sleepy, felt reluctant to leave her mother’s soft and warm embrace, so she decided to take another nap.

Starshine happily pulled her daughter back into her arms; looking at her daughter’s Jingmi and cute sleeping face, the more she looked, the happier and more adorable she felt.

…One hour later…

After her nap, Arcana chose to get up amidst her mother’s somewhat reluctant expression.

Sitting in front of the dressing mirror, Mother Starshine combed her hair into twin-tails.

Golden hair accessories inlaid with purple gems, each adorned with two black ribbons, secured the high twin-tails on both sides of her head.

“Do you like it?”

“I love it~”

Arcana’s soft voice made the smile on Starshine’s face even brighter.

“Then did you learn how?

How to tie twin-tails?”

“I learned~”

“That’s great, come and have breakfast.”

The breakfast Mom prepared today was very hearty: meat buns, pickled cabbage wontons, pickles, and four sliced pan-fried black pepper sausages.

While enjoying the hearty, meat-heavy breakfast,

Arcana recalled her gains from last night.

After completing the contract with Elysia last night and promising eternal companionship,

Elysia had taken her to a romantic place reflecting the starry sky.

There, Elysia taught her how to activate and master the power of the Flame-Chasers within the Signets.

And they even conducted practical combat training.

The information left by the Emperor was right; the contract with Elysia had indeed tangibly improved her strength.

Allowing her to successfully transform from chicken feed into first-class chicken feed.

The power of the Flame-Chasers relied on one’s spiritual power; the stronger the spiritual power, the stronger the Flame-Chaser power that could be projected from the Signets.

Although the contract with Elysia had strengthened her spiritual power,

the Flame-Chaser power she could project was still very limited.

The tempering of her spiritual power in the future was also an extremely important part of her plan to become stronger.

After breakfast, Arcana returned to her bedroom, curled up on the beanbag chair, took out her brain-computer, and asked, “Sister Elysia, can you try to see if this brain-computer works?”

Elysia, who had already projected her spiritual projection through the contract channel, steadily caught Arcana’s brain-computer.

Although it was a spiritual projection, Elysia’s own powerful spiritual strength made her projection indistinguishable from a normal person.

Seeing Elysia successfully activate the brain-computer’s projection screen, Arcana smiled.

“It’s good that it works.

If Sister Elysia doesn’t mind, you can use my account.”

There weren’t many restrictions on using the brain-computer; after all, it was a smart product aimed at all humans in the Empire.

“The new brain-computer I ordered won’t arrive until this afternoon.

Once the device arrives, Sister Elysia can use the new equipment.”

Before going to sleep last night, Arcana used a bit of her small savings to buy a brain-computer of the same model as hers, specifically for Elysia to use.

Products like brain-computers are quite private, so it’s better for everyone to have their own.

Sharing one is fine for a short time, but it’s not ideal in the long run.

“Okay, thank you, Arcana.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t peek into a young girl’s privacy and sensitive heart.”

Arcana replied with a smile, “It’s okay, I trust Sister Elysia.”

In the following time, Arcana curled up on the beanbag chair and flipped through the textbooks issued by the academy.

Elysia floated in mid-air in the room, using the brain-computer to explore the vast network world of the Witch Empire with curiosity.

And Elysia also concealed her presence.

The reason was simple!

Elysia could feel Mother Starshine’s feelings for her daughter.

And through her conversations with Arcana, she knew that Mother Starshine didn’t want her to start dating too early.

She believed that her sudden appearance by Arcana’s side, combined with her relationship with Arcana, would likely cause this mother to have an overly strong stress reaction.

So, she chose to avoid her for the time being, waiting for a suitable opportunity in the future to appear openly by Arcana’s side.

In the afternoon, she didn’t know if it was a coincidence.

Arcana was originally thinking about how to explain to her mother why she had bought another new brain-computer.

As it turned out, Mom happened to say she was going to the academy this afternoon to pre-order ingredients for the next half-month and meet with the academy’s teachers.

To learn about the future academic curriculum for her daughter in advance.

It might take some time, and she might not have time to cook dinner, so she would bring back food from the academy cafeteria when she returned.

This was a great opportunity for Arcana.

When Mom went out in the afternoon, she successfully received the new brain-computer delivered by courier.

And gave it to Elysia to use.

There was no longer any need to think about how to explain the purpose of this new brain-computer to her mother.

And before going to bed that night, Arcana remembered something.

The brain-computer account she had given to Nova’s mother—no stranger had added her as a friend until now.

Nova has severe social anxiety, but it doesn’t seem to be the case online.

If she wasn’t socially anxious online, shouldn’t she have added her as a friend long ago?

Why hadn’t she seen it yet?

But soon, Arcana couldn’t be bothered to care about this issue.

Whether they could be assigned to the same class in the future was unknown.

Perhaps after meeting this time, they would never see each other again.

Putting this matter behind her, Arcana fell asleep in her mother’s comfortable embrace.

In the following days, Arcana’s life was very regular.

Aside from three meals a day, she spent the rest of her time reading the textbooks issued by the academy, not aiming to memorize everything, but at least to have an impression.

During this time, Elysia also found something that made her very happy.

That was writing novels.

She accidentally discovered the Honkai series novels that Arcana was serializing online; seeing that Arcana wrote from the Previous Era volume and had many readers…

She borrowed Arcana’s account and began to reboot the novels Arcana had written.

The reason for the reboot was that she felt Arcana’s novels missed too many beautiful moments of the Previous Era and the Flame-Chasers, and she wanted to make up for all the content Arcana had missed.

Arcana couldn’t help but mutter.

Missed too many beautiful moments of the Previous Era and the Flame-Chasers?

“You’re going to write them out and then destroy them bit by bit, or kill them off, right?”

Arcana had no objection to this; Elysia knew the Previous Era much better than she did, and she was more than happy to have her help write the stories of the Previous Era and the Flame-Chasers.

She also added Elysia to her reader group so she could communicate with the readers.

After that, nothing else happened that caught Arcana’s attention.

Time flew by…

On the morning of the seventh day after Arcana became a Little Witch.

When Arcana woke up, she felt dizzy, her limbs were weak, and her stomach hurt a bit.

Then, supported by her mother, she saw the bright red that occupied almost a third of the bedsheet.

While falling into silence, she couldn’t help but think in her mind.

“Is the amount of bleeding for my first period…

a bit too much?!”
