Yousti closed his eyes.

He began shedding tears at the face of the incredible enlightenment of the fifth realm, or he was just really happy at advancing.

‘Martial Record, I have advanced so I qualify for another god tier martial art.Full novel: Warhammer 40k X RTOC: Heart Path — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Now give me the martial arts that you made me perform before.’

Neoth resumed his attack as he saw a flood of tears flow down Yousti’s face.

He swung his sword downward towards Yousti with the intent to burn away all his silk without fatally wounding him to make him concede this duel.

His sword hit the ground.

Yousti had disappeared.

Neoth had a perfect poker face but behind it he felt a sense of true surprise and shock.

He could no longer sense Yousti at all.

His psychic senses could not find where Yousti had gone despite his previous location being right where his sword was.

The emperor was by all accounts an unmatched powerhouse and the greatest psyker in the history of mankind, even now.

But Yousti had totally disappeared from his senses.

Suddenly Yousti appeared beside the emperor as he swung a multitude of silk strings at Neoth.

Each one cut deep into his armor when before they merely scratched him.

Neoth reacted nearly instantly and swung his sword again at Yousti with blinding speed.

But he had disappeared again.

He looked around and used the full power of his psychic might to search.

But the warp had no answers on his whereabouts.

Within the split second that they had exchanged blows after he hid himself, Neoth had successfully traced where Yousti had travelled between disappearance and appearance.

He deduced that he should still be physically present but had somehow learned how to psychically manipulate his perception in the middle of combat.

The exchange of blows evolved into a totally different kind than before.

Neoth was now rapidly parrying and counter attacking a Yousti that appeared to attack before disappearing in rapid succession.

Each successful blow against Neoth dealt real damage and Yousti was avoiding every attack with the skin of his teeth.

The martial art gifted to Yousti by the Martial Record after he reached the fifth realm was a transcendent martial art that touched even the final realm of martial arts.

Heavenly Escape

With the understanding of intent he had gained at the fifth realm, he could perform the Heavenly Escape, which severed the opponent’s intent (意) and consciousness (識), erasing their perception of existence.

Of course his understanding of the martial art was only at its most basic.

But as he would advance in martial arts, Heavenly Escape would always be one of his greatest trump cards.

In other words Heavenly Escape was a growth type skill that would continue to useful for the rest of Yousti’s existence.

But the greatest use of Heavenly Escape was that it could even cut the red intent soaking the world.

Neoth realized that he could no longer easily engage in melee combat.

He resorted to finally releasing an incredibly powerful psychic explosion of flame coming from his body.

‘Defend or die!’

Yousti had to block the attack with everything he had.

Otherwise he would turn into a smoldered piece of burnt deli.

The wave of flame dissipated just before hitting Yousti who was no longer hidden.

“I believe this spar has gone far enough.”

Neoth had enough of fighting Yousti.

“So I won?”

“I can crush you with my might at any moment. Do not delude yourself into madness.”

‘What a mood killer.’

Neoth turned and began walking away.

“Shepperd humanity in it’s future endeavors. I look forward to our next meeting, Silk Spirit.”

‘I have a name, It’s Yousti.’

Yousti stood still as he watched Neoth walk far away into horizon.

He had finally had the fight of a lifetime and had reached the next stage.

But despite that his mood quickly fell back into a normal state.

‘I see it now.

The red intent that covers the world isn’t actually intent.

But is actually a consciousness.

If this is the world of Warhammer 40k, then I am surrounded by the consciousness of the warp.’

‘No.

It’s also intent, not just consciousness.’

Yousti reached out his hand as if feeling the intent within his hands.

‘Now that I have advanced I can somewhat glimpse the true colors of the ambient intent.

It’s a deep dark red…

Hate (惡)’

The fifth realm of martial arts advances by gradually perceiving the seven colors of emotion and infusing them within ones own intent to amplify their martial arts.

He could now see the color of hate.

‘Is it the hatred within the warp, the hatred from the warp itself, or tied to the universe itself?

Now that I can perceive it even more sharply, all I feel towards it is disgust.

For now I will refer to this disgusting ambient intent as World Intent (世界意志).’

Yousti swung a long scarf of silk he had instantly woven and used Heavenly Escape to create a gap within the World Intent.

For the first time since reaching the Peak stage he had finally found a way to escape the World Intent.

It was incredibly relieving.

Perhaps Yousti was the first in history to separate himself from the World Intent.

The first one to maintain a soul while severing the connection to the warp.

So now he walked a path none had walked before.

A martial path separate from those of Psykers, Sorcerers, Crypteks, or even gods.

The World Intent was still not something Yousti fully understood.

But he assumed he should be much better off now that he could seperate himself from it, it’s better to be hidden from these cosmic forces in Warhammer 40k anyway.

It is also a convenient excuse to constantly train his use of Heavenly Escape, a godly martial art.

Yousti would now constantly maintain Heavenly Escape to make sure that the World Intent would never touch him again.

‘The Martial Record really is overpowered, giving me something like this.’

~

A change in the warp and the entire universe was felt once again.

But this time it was not a simple ripple like last time.

“The future is changing again. The future… A new prophecy has appeared.” Countless prophets across the galaxy said the same words.

Every psyker capable of foreseeing the future.

Especially those who could know the distant future.

Even the gods themselves felt a new destiny form.

There will be a battle of ascension.

The Dark King and the Martial ████ ██████ will emerge.

The winner will be the herald of a new era.

All at once every sentient being that heard the full title of the Martial ████ ██████ forgot the name of the Martial ████ ██████.

Most mortal beings smoothly forgot, but for those powerful psykers, especially those among the eldar.

They felt as if the very concept of the words ████ ██████ had been painfully ripped from their souls in that very moment.

Perhaps they might hear those words in the future, but they would never understand that it would come after the word “Martial.”

From now on.

All legends of the Dark King are now accompanied by the Martial ████ ██████.

The triumph of ruin would now clash with the pinnacle of enlightenment.
