Yousti had barely met the requirements to create the mantra.

He had delved deep into the Three Flowers.

Five of the seven basic intents of emotions.

And deeply understood the weave of intent by endlessly repelling the World Intent with Heavenly Escape.

But all of that was woefully insufficient for the frankly incomprehensible thing called ‘Immortal Arts’ that the Martial Record had revealed to him.

But he could build from the sole immortal art he had ‘Qi.’

Yousti figured that his enlightenment of martial arts would never be able to create a way to share ‘Qi’ so he had to learn how to perform martial arts by connecting with his Martial Record to perform martial arts with enlightenment any number of realms beyond his current one.

But he had succeeded in using this process to synchronize himself with the Martial Record to ‘steal’ enlightenment without directly being given it by the Martial Record.

He had essentially figured out how to use the Martial Record like a ‘system’ to automatically perform ‘skills’ that he could analyze to learn himself as a proper martial art.

But by using this method he eventually worked his way to having the Martial Record perform the Genesis Qi Connection Mantra.

Yousti did not understand it at all but he could perform it anyway using the skill method.

The basic explantion is that it would scatter a part of himself into a ‘connection’ and that scattered part of himself would then assimilate into the connection as the Immortal Art Qi.

At its peak the Genesis Qi Connection Mantra would spread the phenomena of Qi to all living beings allowing them to walk the path of the heart.

Yousti couldn’t help but feel as if these enlightenments he was getting from the Martial Record were terrifying, a deep sense of eldritch horror came from the Martial Record.

“Yes and the name of the mantra is the Genesis Qi Connection Mantra.”

Erda made curious expression.

“Why do you call it that?”

‘The Martial Record named it.’

“I mean. That’s just the name that came to mind. I couldn’t tell you if my thoughts when making it were profound or not.”

“When you created this ‘mantra’ did you seperate yourself from the warp?” Erda seriously asked.

“I am always using Heavenly Escape.”

Erda quietly processed Yousti’s martial arts and their names.

“If you name your martial arts what is the name of the one you use for combat?”

“Silk Song.”

“From one perpetual to another. Names are important. They resonate with the warp. Be careful when you name your Martial Arts in the future. Do not let it influence you as you create your martial arts.”

Yousti stood up from the table.

He tapped Aurora telling her to come along with him, she had a dumbfounded expression because of the information overload from the conversation between him and Erda.

“It was nice talking to you Erda. But I must correct you on one thing. I am not a perpetual. I am mortal, an extreme mortal.”

They disappeared from Erda’s view as Yousti used Heavenly Escape to sever her perception.

Erda remained composed throughout on the outside but on the inside she was astonished by Yousti.

In her head she had already begun comparing him to Neoth who firmly held the position of ‘strongest’ within her mental world.

‘He’s wants to turn humanity into a psychic race like the Aeldari through a psychic discipline he calls ‘martial arts’ and some kind of psychic ritual called the Genesis Qi Mantra.

He’s already comparable to Neoth with that Heavenly Escape that can nullify the warp.

He’s hasn’t even lived longer than a normal human and the scope of his ambition is absurd.

And why does he want to be called a mortal?

Humanity is not Psychic, only born Perpetuals naturally have psychic power.’

“Fine Extreme Mortal will do.”

Erda decided to humor Yousti’s preferences.

She would ask him why he wanted to be called a mortal of all things at a later date.

~

“This will work right?”

Aurora was nervous.

After this she would finally be able to use Qi and learn martial arts just like Yousti promised her ever since he saved her from a fate of brutal execution after she had exacted revenge on her father.

But the conversation He had with Erda had dumped all kinds of unfamiliar information into her mind.

She had never heard Yousti describe his own magic in such detail before.

‘He really is a Magos.’

Yousti was meditating right in front of her.

He said that he was preparing to use the Genesis Qi Connection Mantra.

But that just left her to think in silence.

‘I want to go home.

But I don’t have a home.

He took it from me.”

Aurora’s intent turned crimson and scarlet with hatred and anger as she thought of her father.

Yousti placed a hand on her shoulder.

She felt a soothing sensation course through her body which made her calm down.

“Stand up.”

Yousti spoke to her from his meditative position.

Aurora stood up.

“Use your martial arts with all your heart.”

Aurora was confused.

“What counts as using all my heart?”

“Practice your martial arts as if you’re killing your father.” Yousti spoke those disturbing words in a soothing but firm voice.

Aurora was unsure what to make of it.

All this time Yousti had been respectful and never asked about her past.

But he knew that she hated her father.

‘Do it with all my heart.

Do it like he’s killing mom again…’

Aurora’s intent became a deep Crimson, Scarlet, and a deep blue as she began performing the knife martial arts that had been drilled into her every single day for months on end.

Three hundred days of relentless practice allowed her to perform everything she knew how to do with a knife with all the emotion in her heart.

And then she felt it.

Combined with her heart she used all her focus to guide the qi relying on her muscle memory to perform martial arts until her knife stabbed directly into a tree trunk.

“Whoa!”

Yousti appeared beside her as she stared at the knife she just firmly embedded into the wood.

“Congratulations Aurora. You are now a late third rate martial artist. See I told you all that training wasn’t for nothing.”

‘I wonder who she was thinking of.’ In the last moments of Aurora’s martial arts her intent was no longer crimson or scarlet.

But it became Rosy Pink and a deep ocean blue.

Love intertwined with sadness.

Yousti could now see the sixth emotion with intent, love.

Pink – Love (愛)

‘All that’s left is to see the color of desire.

But for now I need to focus on my student.’

Yousti began to hold a deranged smile.

“Aurora do you know what his means.”

She looked at his deranged smile and realized her fate.

‘Oh no’

“It’s time to train like there’s no tomorrow!”
