Yao Yao might have drunk too much, but as always, she woke up early. She slowly opened her eyes, but she still felt a little dizzy. After staring in a daze for a while, she looked over and saw from the lights that she was at home.
She felt naked all over, and was about to lift the blanket to take a look when she noticed Huo Konghe sleeping soundly beside her.
Yao Yao heaved a sigh of relief, and didn’t get up again. She lay next to Huo Konghe and looked at him quietly.
He was really good-looking. He had a tall nose, an angular face, and thick eyelashes.
They seemed to be even longer than her eyelashes. She poked his face gently.
Then, Huo Konghe opened his eyes, scaring Yao Yao.
In reality, he was already awake at the time when she woke up, but he wanted to see her reaction.
“You’re awake.” There was a silly grin on her face.
“Mm.” Huo Konghe’s voice was a bit hoarse, so it sounded even deeper than usual.
Hearing this, Yao Yao’s body trembled. She leaned forward, and Huo Konghe reached out to pull her into his arms.
“I drank too much last night. How did I come back?” Yao Yao said gloomily in his arms.
“A man in a white suit sent you back.” Huo Konghe replied, “He called me and asked me to take care of you.”
That would be Qi Qi. Yao Yao trusted Qi Qi very much, and knew that he wouldn’t take advantage of her.
Huo Konghe didn’t say anything else. He combed Yao Yao’s messy hair with his big hand, while she rubbed her leg against the place where he was up high and erect. She could feel his temperature through his underwear. New chapters come out on g.com first.
“My period is here,” Yao Yao said unhappily.
Huo Konghe put his hand on her abdomen and rubbed it gently. His big hand was hot, and Yao Yao felt very comfortable being warmed. After a while, she fell asleep again.
Huo Konghe carefully retracted his hand and put on his clothes before going downstairs to make breakfast.
When Yao Yao woke up again, it was already past ten. When she arrived at the dining room, she found Huo Konghe writing something with a pen again.
“This is a draft of my resume. What do you think?” Huo Konghe handed it to her, and went into the kitchen to bring out the porridge he prepared.
Yao Yao took it and looked at it. She couldn’t help but praise Huo Konghe’s excellence.
“You actually won this award?” Yao Yao sighed. “I was third back then. Professor Yao was almost angered to death.”
“There’s definitely no problem with this. It’s just an internship, so it’s not that strict.” Yao Yao ate the warm porridge, and felt that her hangover wasn’t as bad anymore.
Hearing what she said, Huo Konghe was much more relieved.
“Do you have any plans for postgraduate studies?” Yao Yao asked.
“Yes.” Huo Konghe nodded.
“Are you interested in getting into Caltech?”
“I heard that the conditions of people who undergo transfusions are very stable. They usually live the same way as normal people.” Yao Yao added, “Besides, you going to Caltech in the United States might be a major turning point in your life.”
Huo Konghe was in a dilemma. Of course, he knew that Caltech was a good opportunity, but there was still his father’s illness and the high tuition fees…
“Caltech gives out full scholarships every year. And I heard that N Air will also provide additional scholarships to students who get into Caltech this year.”
Huo Konghe hesitated for a while before saying eventually, “I’ll discuss it with my father.”
Yao Yao looked at Huo Konghe with satisfaction. Her golden retriever was indeed ambitious!
Since Yao Yao had to prepare for her two month long business trip, she had a lot of things to do and had to work overtime on weekends.
She sent Huo Konghe home, and drove to the company.
Huo Konghe spoke to his father about going abroad, and told his father that there was a full scholarship.
His father was already very guilty that he didn’t provide his son with a better life. Fortunately, his son made him proud, so he thought to himself that he definitely couldn’t drag his son down with his medical condition again.
“Of course you should go! It’s such a good opportunity, you definitely have to take it.” Father Huo patted Huo Konghe’s shoulder.
Yao Yao had to prepare for her trip to America, and so, she was busy for about ten days in a row. However, no matter how busy she was, she still took the time to look at the big golden retriever’s WeChat messages and felt as sweet as eating a candy.
