## Watching Yu-Gi-Oh!
Shorts, the Old-school Duelists Have a Meltdown!
# Chapter 1: Duel Master Video Link!
The Shook Old-school Duelists!
“Whew!”
“I guess getting into Konami isn’t as simple as I thought.”
“Do I really need better card-design talent and more ‘out-of-the-box’ ideas?”
Yuuki Hoshi took a deep breath and stared blankly at the rejection text on his phone.
He was used to this result by now.
Not having graduated from a prestigious university meant he stood little chance of entering a giant like Konami.
If it weren’t for his genuine love for Yu-Gi-Oh!, he wouldn’t have even dreamed of sending them his resume.
“Creativity? Card design ideas?” he muttered.
“And they want work experience too. It’s ridiculous—how am I supposed to get experience if no one hires me? The job posting even said they were looking for fresh graduates. Why are they turning around and saying they don’t want them now?”
He sighed, feeling the weight of the job hunt.
“Finding work these days is just too hard…”
Yuuki grumbled to himself as he finished reading the message.
Just as he was about to lock his phone in boredom, a strange pop-up appeared.
Immediately after, a system notification chimed from the device.
[Ding! Congratulations! You have been granted access to the Master Duel APP Closed Beta!]
[Participate now! Simply watch one short video to receive a mysterious reward!]
[Please click the link to download and install!]
“Master Duel APP?”
“Konami’s new game video? Aren’t Duel Links and Master Duel enough for them? They made another one?”
Yuuki scoffed at the pop-up, but as if possessed, his finger tapped the link anyway.
Thirty seconds later, the installation was complete.
Upon opening the app, he found it filled with nothing but Yu-Gi-Oh!
duel videos.
[He’ll never guess what my next card is!]
[There’s a limit to Card Generation! So, I’m going to transcend those limits!]
[Starting hand: 5 pieces of Exodia. Is there anyone else on the internet who can pull this off?]
[Did you just say Fusion? I’m going to Super Polymerization right now!]
As a lifelong Yu-Gi-Oh!
fan, Yuuki Hoshi was instantly hooked.
He quickly lost himself in the endless scroll of videos.

At that same moment, the virtual data of various Dueling Worlds began to sync.
The DM World, the GX World!
The 5D’s World, the ZEXAL World!
The ARC-V World and beyond—all connections successful!
Accompanied by a surge of electronic static, massive virtual screens manifested in the skies above every Duel City!
Other major broadcast screens followed suit, flickering to life with images and sound.

**DM World**
Duelists currently competing in the KaibaCorp (KC) tournament noticed something was wrong with the scoring monitors.
The screens no longer displayed the real-time rankings and points of the participants.
Instead, they showed dueling footage the likes of which they had never seen before.
Furthermore, they were certain that these duels did not involve any of them.
“What is the meaning of this! Roland!”
“Roland? Deal with this emergency immediately!”
“Why is the KC broadcast showing these unknown duels?”
Seto Kaiba’s face was a mask of fury.
He had gone to great lengths to host this massive tournament, and now this happened!
“President Kaiba! I can’t stop it!” Roland shouted, his voice panicked.
“There seems to be some kind of code and encryption that is far beyond our era…”
Roland’s answer made Kaiba’s face go pale.
Beyond their era?
What did that even mean?
He turned his eyes back to the screen.
Cards he had never seen before flashed one after another.
Seto Kaiba stood frozen, watching the cards flicker by.
Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, Tea Gardner, Mai Valentine—all of them watched the broadcast with wide, shocked eyes.

**GX World**
Jaden Yuki’s graduation ceremony had just concluded.
A large screen, which was supposed to be playing a retrospective of Jaden’s three years of study, suddenly switched to footage of other duels.
The sudden change left Chancellor Sheppard and Professor Crowler speechless.
“Mama mia! Chancellor Sheppard!” Crowler shrieked in confusion.
“What is going on? What on earth are those dueling images?”
His outburst immediately drew the attention of the students—both those about to graduate and those already finished.
“Super Polymerization right now?”
“He’s putting Destiny HEROes into an Elemental HERO deck?”
“Who taught him to play like that?”
Jaden Yuki watched the screen in a daze as the footage flashed by.
The short videos played at a blistering pace, but Jaden—and Yubel within him—managed to catch snippets of the text.
“Interesting,” Aster Phoenix muttered, a cold smirk playing on his lips, though he looked deep in thought.
“Using Dogmatika to make Heroes play dirty? Is this a recording of a professional match?”
“Mixing Cyber Angels with Drytron?” Alexis Rhodes murmured, biting her lip.
“What does that even mean? I don’t understand these plays at all.”
Syrus Truesdale, Zane Truesdale, Bastion Misawa, Jesse Anderson—all of them adopted expressions of intense focus as they watched the short clips.
It wasn’t just curiosity; it was because the videos were filled with unknown combos and card information they had never encountered.
