“See? You obviously can’t, so stop suggesting such bad ideas as you obviously can’t do it either.”

“Okay. So, we would still be stuck with our engagement for a few more years,” Eli said with a sigh.

“That’s likely so. By the way, has nothing serious really happened to you this year?”Full novel: We Tried Dodging Our Marriage, Now We’re Solving Irregularities (BL) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Yeah, my unluckiness was still at a normal level, just like before: getting lost, being splashed with drinks, losing money, tripping and stumbling out of nowhere, etc. Anyway, just those minor ones.”

“So, it’s still the same, just like me.

But I had already said that to mom, but she’s still adamant on letting us marry,” Ren said and then asked, “What about your memory?

Did you remember something else from that time?”

“I still can’t. However, the feeling that I had lost a lot of memories, not just of a few hours, was still the same when I tried recalling things after arguing with you at that time. What about you?”

“Still nothing. But the feeling is also the same, just like yours, which is really strange. I had been learning a lot of things, but I haven’t read or seen such things, as we weren’t even unconscious for a long time, unlike other cases recorded, which show that those people were also unconscious for a long time. And those people also clearly remembered the things that they had experienced in their dreams or wherever it was, unlike us who totally forgot all of them and were only left with the feeling that we forgot a lot of things.”

“Just leave it be. We can’t remember anything about it anyway,” Eli said casually.

12 years have already passed, but they still haven’t remembered anything about it.

So, it’s better to just leave it be, as their lost memories don’t even have any effect on their daily lives.

“I know. Now that we’re done, let’s begin talking about your responsibilities and what you would be doing. For the time being, I’ll allow you to only observe things today; then, you’ll start as my assistant tomorrow.”

“Why? Do you want to start today? If you’re willing, of course you can also start today.”

“No! I mean, isn’t it too early for me to act as an assistant? I knew others would only observe and would start acting as an assistant after a month or two.”

“As you said, that’s for others, not for you. I know you can pick up things quickly; if you wanted to, I know you could already start teaching right away, even without such observations. If it hadn’t been discussed before that you guys would only start teaching two months before the end of the semester, I would have immediately let you try taking over some of my classes. You can’t take over my classes yet, so I can only let you be my assistant. As for your observation, you can still observe while being my assistant without any problem. Here are my lesson materials for the week; you can check them first,” Ren said and generously handed his laptop to Eli.

Eli glared at Ren again, but he still began opening the files on Ren’s laptop about their following lessons.

He quickly opened those files and speed-read all those things within 20 minutes, and then returned Ren’s laptop.

Aside from those first-week lessons, he had even opened all the other files of Ren that he would be using for the rest of the month and also read them all before returning the laptop to Ren.

If it wasn’t Ren in front of him but other teachers, he would certainly continue dawdling and only finish it in a few hours.

But with Ren, who already knew his capability very well, he didn’t need to bother pretending at all.

“I’m done.”

“See? If you were willing, you should have done better. You’ve opened all my files for the month and managed to read them all in just a short time. Put more effort into the things you’re doing.”

“I’ll sleep first. Wake me up later when we have to go and teach already,” Eli said and quickly put his arms on the table to use as a pillow and then closed his eyes.

“What do you think you’re doing? This is a school, and this is my office.”

If he wasn’t facing Ren and was with other CTs, of course he wouldn’t act out at all and would still be obedient, only secretly resting when he could.

But since Ren was the only one present, he didn’t have any qualms at all and quickly closed his eyes.

He had actually been rushing to finish all the tasks in the game that he was playing the night before, which was why he hadn’t slept much.

He probably only slept for an hour or two; that’s why he was still sleepy.

Ren also didn’t bother with him any longer and started checking some papers, so he managed to rest for half an hour before Ren woke him up, as there were only 15 minutes left before his class.

Eli quickly checked on himself and made sure that he looked totally awake before they headed out to go to Ren’s class.

When they arrived, he quickly saw 21 students in the classroom.

The previous teacher obviously just left, as the students were still noisy and some were even planning to go out; but as soon as they saw Ren, they all quieted down and obediently went back to their seats.

The presence of Ren was certainly great, as it seemed that all the students listened to him.

Ren greeted all the students and gave them three minutes to settle down, and for those who needed to go out to do their business to come back.

After all of them were ready, Ren briefly introduced him, and he also briefly greeted all the students with a smile while looking at their expressions.
