Billy, Aiyana, Element, Chief Tala, Jolene, and Reba traveled around the towns in the West. They showed them all the places, towns, and foods. They prayed and read scripture together.

All the townsmen came up to see Chief Tala.

"You're Chief Tala, the King of Northern Heights," they said.Full novel: West Quest — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"I'm just a nobody and a man like you that loves Jesus," said Chief Tala.

"These places are beautiful," said Aiyana.

"So what do you think? Have you ever been to prairies and ranches before, Chief?" asked Billy.

"I've never seen that before. It's beautiful," said Chief Tala.

"We may have different cultures, but we're all one in Christ," said Billy.

Billy returned to the station to continue his training with Maverick. The training was advanced and more than anything Billy had experienced before. He trained for days and weeks but still no progress.

"Not many people get past this level of training. Not many people even get trained by me. I'm just training you because I see potential in you, but you're not keeping up. We're running out of time," said Maverick.

"You're only a cadet. That's why you can't beat high ranking outlaws yet. Once your Bazooka Bomb gets big, it will be a sign your power has grown and you'll be graduated from the training phase from Cadet level into the Veteran level, which is the next Marshal level after Cadet. Coyote, Clay, Jay, and myself are all Veteran level marshals. That's where you need to be," said Maverick.

Billy once again tried to make his Bazooka Bomb bigger but still failed.

"This is like the tenth time I tried this. It's not working," said Billy.

Billy was beginning to get frustrated. He had to pray to calm himself down.

Clay, Roger, and Coyote started to bad mouth him.

"Well, if you'd be more worried about being a marshal and less worried about your Bible studies, you'd get somewhere," said Clay.

"I think my faith makes me a better marshal," said Billy.

Clay laughed at him.

"I can't believe you're still a cadet. I graduated from cadet my second month. You're so weak, you stupid Bible-thumping Jesus freak," said Roger.

Billy once again trained with Maverick with still no progress.

"Another technique you need to learn is the Lonestar Shooter. It's a massive power blast and very effective," said Maverick.

Billy hit several rocks with the largest blast that he had.

"That's still not a Lonestar Shooter," said Maverick.

"How am I going to do this? It's impossible," said Billy.

"You need to get stronger. Then when you gather up enough power, you'll be able to learn it," said Maverick.

Billy tried again and again until finally he learned it.

During break, Billy and Maverick had a conversation.

"There's something I wanted to ask you," said Billy.

"What is it, Billy?" asked Maverick.

"Are you a Christian? Are you really Christian? Do you love God with all your heart, soul, and strength? Do you keep his commandments? I never see you praying or reading your Bible and you're always more worried about law enforcement. Please make sure you're saved. Many people think they're Christians but they're not. Being a Marshal is good, but following Jesus is the most important," said Billy.

Maverick thought long and hard about what he said. Billy continued training and showed signs of gradual progression.

During a casual afternoon, the townspeople traveled in on their horses. They partied and danced and played banjos, and suddenly the cloaked rebel forces arrived on their camels. Suddenly, energy blasts came out and blasts came out everywhere in town with buildings burning and people being blasted.

"Ahhh!"

"Everyone run!" yelled the townsmen. The town was on fire. The blasts continued and an injured cowboy looked at the cloaked men and saw one of them take off their cloaks.

"They're natives," he said.

Billy and Maverick continued training for months until Billy finally graduated.

"Congratulations. You finally graduated. You're a Veteran Marshal now. You have graduated from Cadet," said Maverick.

Suddenly, Coyote came in.

"You're disgusting," said Coyote.

"Why am I disgusting?" said Billy.

"It's Moonlight. He's here and he's destroying towns. He came here because he's after you. You couldn't shut up about your beliefs and now he's here because he wants to kill us all because you caused a revolution. You just couldn't keep your mouth shut. You and your stupid bimbo friends," said Coyote.

"Excuse me?" said Jolene.

"Moonlight is here already?" said Aiyana.

"If nobody converted, Moonlight would have attacked anyway. He's been talking about destroying cowboys for years," said Chief Tala.

Coyote walked out. Billy and everyone went into the towns and saw the towns in shambles and in flames. Billy had a flashback when he was a kid when he saw buildings burned by flames from arsonist outlaws.

"Why do people do things like this?" asked the young Billy.

"It's because men have evil, Billy. It comes from evil and sin brought by rebellion to God and causes men to go in darkness to follow Satan. You have to overcome that sin and turn away and turn to the good," said Pastor Tim.

Back in the present, Billy looked and gazed at the flames with the shadow of his hat covering his eyes.

"Are you alright, Billy?" asked Reba.

Jolene knew that when Billy had a blank stare and no talk, he was mad.

"I just think he needs time to think," said Jolene.

"He's a monster. He killed all these innocent people. They didn't do anything to him and why? Because they're a different culture than him? Because he doesn't like the cowboys? He's a murderer and I'm going to stop him!" said Billy with the shadow of his hat covering his eyes. Jolene saw a stare of a man with determination and fire in his eyes.

Moonlight continued to destroy towns. He ran into the Hacker.

"Are you sure you want to kill me? I'm an expert technician. I can give you valuable information about where you get the crystals," she said.

"Aren't you a Christian?" said Moonlight.

"I'm a bandit. Do I look like a Christian?" she said.

"As long as you're not a Christian or cowboy sympathizer and you get the job done, you can live. Men, keep her alive for now. Maybe we'll kill her when we have no use for her," said Moonlight.

The Rebels continued their onslaught into several towns, destroying the towns and stealing the crystals. They started to take the crystals and put them in the activators.
