The city night was still brightly lit.

Inside the presidential suite of a hotel in Jing City, two burning bodies were tangled together, clothes scattered messily across the floor.

Si Ruohan lifted his desire-reddened eyes and looked at the delicate, charming face before him, his voice restrained.Full novel: What Should I Do After Getting Pregnant with the Second Male Lead’s Child? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You can still regret it now…”

Unexpectedly, the person beneath him wrapped around him even tighter. The moment that smooth, soft skin pressed against him, Si Ruohan’s self-control instantly collapsed.

“In that case, don’t blame me!”

…

Close to noon, the sunlight outside the window shone brightly.

On the bed, Pei Xi frowned as she slowly sat up. Pressing her fingers against her temples, she looked at the unfamiliar surroundings in confusion.

Where was she?

The blanket slipped down to her waist, and the cool air from the air conditioner brushed against her skin. When Pei Xi looked down and saw the mottled marks covering her body, she let out a shocked scream.

“Ah!!!”

Her voice was already hoarse.

She quickly wrapped the blanket tightly around herself and scanned the room to see whether the man was still there.

Oh my God. This wasn’t a dream. Even moving slightly made the most private parts of her body ache uncomfortably.

Supporting her head, Pei Xi tried to recall how she had ended up in bed with that man.

Yesterday, she had gone shopping, watched a movie, and had dinner with her best friend. In the evening, they sang karaoke and both drank a little. When they parted, her best friend was picked up by her boyfriend.

As for her, she lived in the school dormitory, but it was already too late to get back in, so she found a hotel to stay the night.

She normally never drank. While searching for her room number, she had already started feeling dizzy.

After finally finding it, she took out her key card to open the door. With her head spinning, she entered the room, tossed the shopping bags she had bought that day onto the floor, and collapsed onto the bed.

In her hazy state, Pei Xi noticed a man standing by the bedside.

She thought she was dreaming. Only in a dream could she see such a perfect man.

He was damn handsome—his face, his height—everything about him could rival the male lead from the novels she wrote.

No, he was even more handsome than the hero she had created.

He was exactly the male lead in her heart!

Believing she was dreaming, Pei Xi became incredibly bold and started taking advantage of him.

Thinking about how she was already twenty-two and had never even held a man’s hand, she felt terribly stifled.

Since this was just a dream, touching and doing whatever she wanted shouldn’t be too much, right?

But the marks all over her body now told her that last night had not been a dream. She had truly slept with a stranger.

And judging from it, she had even taken the initiative!

Tsk! What a mess. She didn’t even know whether she should feel sad or upset.

Her first time had disappeared just like that—so inexplicably—and it was entirely her own doing.

But how could there have been a man in her room?

That question would be answered later, when she stepped out. For now, she had more urgent matters.

She needed to go back. She had already graduated and had to find a place to live, then return to school to move her things.

Yesterday morning had been her graduation ceremony. In the afternoon, she and her best friend had gone out to celebrate wildly. She hadn’t even looked for a house yet.

The school allowed graduates three days to move out. Finding a place wasn’t easy; she had to hurry. After all, she couldn’t keep lingering at school now that she had graduated.

As she thought about it, she realized the room had been quiet for a long time. There were no sounds from the bathroom either. It seemed she was alone.

She spotted her clothes neatly folded on the bedside table. Carefully shifting her body, she reached over to put them on.

“Hiss!”

Her body ached terribly. While dressing, she saw the marks on herself—especially on her chest, which had suffered the worst.

Blushing deeply, she quickly finished getting dressed. All she wanted now was to leave this place as soon as possible.

The clothes must have been picked up and folded by that man. She clearly remembered throwing them on the floor last night…

Hmm? There was something beside them. Pei Xi picked it up. Aside from the room card, there was a piece of paper with a name and a phone number written on it.

Si Ruohan.

Biting her lip, Pei Xi stared at the paper. So that was his name? It sounded pretty nice.

She glanced around again. Other than that slip of paper, there was nothing else.

She couldn’t help thinking: Why leave only a piece of paper? Why not, like in novels, leave behind a check or a thick stack of cash?

She was a practical person. Compared to a light sheet of paper, she much preferred gold and silver.

What use was his contact information? She had been the one who provoked him first. How could she possibly contact him? Did she have no shame?

And besides, he had looked like a proper gentleman in a suit. Who would’ve thought he didn’t even have a business card and had to handwrite his name?

Could he actually be some kind of escort from a club?

Her thoughts ran wild, but in the end, what was done was done. Regretting it now was useless.

After getting dressed, Pei Xi stood up, though her legs trembled slightly. She had been drunk last night, but she hadn’t blacked out. The fiery scenes from the night before flashed back in her mind.

She silently cursed Si Ruohan for being like a brute bull. She had said “no more” over and over, yet he hadn’t stopped. He had practically worn her out.

Ruffling her hair, she picked up her small bag from the floor and took out her phone.

She checked the time and saw a message from her best friend telling her to call once she woke up.

Thinking it might be urgent, she called back. The other side picked up quickly.

“Hello? Xiao Xi, you’re finally awake! Are you still at the hotel or back at school?”

“Just woke up. Still at the hotel. I’ll head back later,” Pei Xi replied briefly. Her voice was hoarse; she was afraid of saying too much and revealing something.

Her friend noticed her strange voice but assumed it was from not drinking water.

“I have something to tell you. Didn’t you need a place to rent? There’s one here! My boyfriend mentioned it when he brought breakfast over. He saw the landlord upstairs putting up a notice. You’ve been here before, and the price is reasonable. Do you want to come take a look? It’s in high demand, so decide quickly if you want it.”

Pei Xi had been worried about housing. Hearing such good news, she wouldn’t miss it.

“Yes, yes! I’ll come this afternoon.”

She had wanted to go immediately, but it would be lunchtime by then, and she didn’t want to interrupt her friend and her boyfriend. Afternoon would be better.

After hanging up, she quickly showered. Seeing the scattered marks on her neck, she cursed again.

Luckily, she had bought a new set of cosmetics with her friend yesterday, including concealer. Otherwise, she would’ve been too embarrassed to go out.

After a thorough cleanup, she packed her shopping bags and finally opened the door to leave.

The moment she stepped out, her eyes fell on the room number. She froze and hurriedly took out her room card to check.

That’s right—she hadn’t remembered it wrong. Her room number was 885.

But the room she had just walked out of was 886.

Staring at the neighboring door labeled 885, Pei Xi’s mind went blank.

She had… entered the wrong room last night?

No wonder she hadn’t heard the usual beep when she opened the door!

Stamping her foot, she wished she could go back and slap herself awake. As a top student, how could she make such a low-level mistake?

Sure enough, alcohol really was dangerous.

See? Those “losing control after drinking” plots in novels really do exist.
