“Sometimes the happiest memories begin as a joke no one expects to become real.”

Saturday arrived without the sound of school bells.

Nobody had homework open.

Well…

Almost nobody.

Yongi quietly turned another page of his novel.

The morning was peaceful.

Until—

His phone vibrated.

A message from Heosok.

Emergency meeting.

10:00 a.m.

Convenience store.

Attendance is mandatory.

Yongi stared at the message.

He replied with one sentence.

What emergency?

Three dots appeared.

Then—

I got bored.

Yongi sighed.

“…I should’ve expected that.”

By ten o’clock…

Everyone had gathered outside the small convenience store.

Heosok proudly stood in front of them.

“Thank you all for attending.”

Jisoo folded her arms.

“I almost didn’t.”

“I noticed.”

“You sent me five messages.”

“I was making sure.”

“You were annoying.”

Jiwoo laughed.

“Both things can be true.”

Jeheon arrived a few moments later.

“…Did something happen?”

Heosok nodded seriously.

“Yes.”

Everyone looked at him.

He took a dramatic breath.

“…We’re dying.”

Silence.

Jeheon blinked.

“…What?”

“Of boredom.”

Jiwoo immediately clapped.

“I support this diagnosis.”

Jisoo rubbed her forehead.

“I walked here for this?”

“You walked here because deep down you like us.”

“I walked here because I thought someone was injured.”

“Emotionally, I am.”

Zaizai arrived a minute later, carrying two cold drinks.

She handed one to Jiwoo without saying a word.

Jiwoo smiled.

“You always know what I want.”

Zaizai shrugged gently.

“I’ve had a lot of practice.”

Jeheon quietly watched the exchange.

It wasn’t anything extraordinary.

Just…

A sister knowing another sister.

Heosok suddenly snapped his fingers.

“I’ve got it!”

Everyone looked at him.

“We’re going somewhere tomorrow.”

Jiwoo’s eyes lit up.

“Where?”

“I don’t know yet.”

Jisoo sighed.

“So you invited us before having a plan.”

“I planned to make a plan.”

“That’s somehow worse.”

Yongi finally looked up from his book.

“…Can I make one suggestion?”

Everyone turned toward him.

“If we’re going somewhere…”

He paused.

“…Let’s choose a place everyone wants.”

The group became quiet.

Jiwoo smiled.

“I like that idea.”

Zaizai nodded.

“So do I.”

Heosok grinned.

“Then it’s settled.”

He looked around dramatically.

“Tomorrow…”

“…we vote.”

“And nobody is allowed to say ‘home.'”

Everyone laughed.

Even Yongi.

Just a little.

As they started walking back through the neighborhood…

None of them realized…

That tomorrow’s decision would become one of the happiest memories of their lives.
