“The truth doesn’t always hide in big moments.

Sometimes it hides in habits.”

Jiwoo walked into the classroom carrying two cartons of strawberry milk.

She placed one on Jisoo’s desk.

“Peace offering.”

Jisoo looked at it.

“…For what?”

“I don’t know.”

“I’m planning to annoy you later.”

Jisoo smiled despite herself.

“At least you’re honest.”

A few minutes later…

Zaizai entered.

She quietly sat down.

As always…

She greeted everyone with a small smile.

“…Good morning.”

“Morning!”

Heosok replied.

Jiwoo leaned over.

“Want strawberry milk?”

Zaizai shook her head gently.

“I’m okay.”

Jiwoo shrugged.

“More for me.”

Math class began.

The teacher wrote a difficult equation across the board.

A few students groaned.

Heosok sighed dramatically.

“I suddenly don’t feel well.”

The teacher didn’t even turn around.

“You’ll recover after solving question three.”

The class laughed.

When the bell rang…

Students hurried out.

Heosok stretched.

“I survived.”

“Barely.”

Jisoo replied.

The six friends headed toward the courtyard.

As they walked…

Jiwoo suddenly stopped.

“…Wait.”

She looked down.

“My shoelace.”

She knelt to tie it.

Everyone waited.

Except Jeheon.

He had already noticed something.

Yesterday…

Jiwoo had tied her laces differently.

Today…

She tied them with the opposite hand.

He frowned.

“…Strange.”

“What?”

Heosok asked.

Jeheon looked away.

“…Nothing.”

Lunch passed with the usual chaos.

Heosok tried to steal Jiwoo’s fries.

Failed.

Twice.

Jisoo called it justice.

Yongi quietly finished his lunch before anyone else.

Zaizai smiled as she watched everyone argue.

For a while…

Everything felt normal again.

School ended.

The group packed their bags.

Jiwoo looked around.

“…Did anyone see my notebook?”

“I saw it.”

Zaizai quietly handed it to her.

“You left it under your chair.”

“Oh.”

Jiwoo laughed.

“I would’ve forgotten it.”

“You usually do.”

Zaizai replied.

The others laughed.

Only Jeheon stayed quiet.

His eyes moved between the sisters.

It wasn’t the notebook.

It wasn’t the shoelaces.

It wasn’t anything important.

But…

They kept noticing things about each other before anyone else did.

Not because they were paying attention.

Because…

It felt natural.

As everyone walked home…

Heosok suddenly pointed at an ice cream shop.

“I have an important question.”

Jisoo sighed.

“Here we go.”

“If you had to eat only one ice cream flavor for the rest of your life…”

“…what would it be?”

Jiwoo answered immediately.

“Chocolate!”

“Mint.”

Zaizai said softly.

“Vanilla.”

Yongi replied.

“Strawberry.”

Jisoo said.

Everyone looked at Jeheon.

“…I’ve never tried most of them.”

Silence.

Then Jiwoo smiled.

“Problem solved.”

She grabbed his wrist.

“We’re buying one.”

Before Jeheon could protest…

The others were already walking toward the shop.

Five minutes later…

Everyone stood outside holding different flavors.

Jeheon looked at the vanilla cone in his hand.

He took one careful bite.

Jiwoo watched expectantly.

“…Well?”

He thought for a moment.

“…It’s good.”

She grinned proudly.

“I knew it.”

As they continued walking…

Jeheon looked at his friends.

He smiled.

Then…

Almost without thinking…

He glanced toward Jiwoo and Zaizai again.

The same quiet thought returned.

Not suspicion.

Not fear.

Just curiosity.

“…Why do they understand each other so well?”

He didn’t know it yet…

But sometimes…

The smallest questions lead to the biggest truths.

But…..Not Now…..
