“Uu… I… I can’t breathe…”

Chen Han pushed the little figure on top of him and struggled to lift his head.

Ling Xue cried softly, tears streaming down onto Chen Han’s hair.

“It’s alright, I’m back.” Chen Han gently comforted her and put her down.

“Tell me, what happened?”

Ling Xue wiped her tears and spoke softly.

“Less than an hour after the apocalypse arrived, they broke in.”

“There were eight of them, each holding newbie weapons and wearing protective suits.

We were no match for them.”

“Brother Gang and my dad were knocked out and captured while protecting me.”

Chen Han’s expression turned cold.

“Where are they?”

“They should be on the rooftop.”

“Brother Han, be careful.”

“Mm, don’t worry.” Chen Han told Ling Xue to hide.

As a pampered young lady, it was obvious she was frightened facing this for the first time.

Ling Xue actually wasn’t weak—she was a black belt in Taekwondo.

But after the game’s arrival, levels had widened the gap between people.

She and Gangzi hadn’t killed any zombies, so they hadn’t leveled up.

Facing leveled enemies meant they couldn’t compete at all.

Especially enemies wearing equipment!

Chen Han walked out onto the balcony and leaped to the third floor the same way as before.

He didn’t show himself.

Instead, he held onto the rooftop edge with both hands and slowly peeked out.

With his enhanced strength, this kind of rooftop climbing felt surprisingly easy.

Before this, such a move would’ve counted as extreme sports.

Chen Han scanned the rooftop and, as expected, saw Gangzi and Ling Feng tied up, with two men guarding them.

And facing the villa entrance were two more men, eyes locked on the gate, as if waiting for someone.

Seeing this scene, Chen Han silently thanked his own caution.

Had he driven home openly, he would’ve walked right into their trap.

He counted—four here, plus the three he killed earlier… one was still missing!

“I’ll find him later.” Chen Han had no time to waste; he didn’t know how badly Gangzi was hurt.

Dragging this out might lead to something irreversible.

His gaze shifted to the two men guarding Gangzi.

‘You two first.’

Hanging by one hand, Chen Han pulled out his crossbow with the other and aimed at them.

“Bang!

Bang!”

Consecutive shots fired, hitting both targets precisely.

Puff!

One man’s protective suit was pierced instantly; the arrow struck his forehead, killing him in one blow. Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

The other reacted quickly—he shifted just enough that the arrow grazed his shoulder, only injuring him lightly.

“Careful!

Someone’s here!” the injured man shouted, rushing toward Gangzi with his dagger.

Chen Han flipped onto the rooftop, his speed explosive—he arrived in front of the man instantly.

“Still thinking of using hostages?”

Chen Han chuckled as his Tang blade struck like lightning.

The man’s expression changed drastically; he never expected Chen Han to be this fast.

He hurriedly tried blocking with his dagger.

But he still underestimated Chen Han’s strength.

The moment the blade came down, he knew he messed up.

This was not a force he could possibly withstand.

Puff!

The blue barrier of his protective suit shattered instantly, and the Tang blade chopped into his arm.

“Ahhh!”

An arm flew off as the man screamed horribly.

Before he could retreat, the long blade flashed once across his neck.

Everything happened too fast.

The other two hadn’t reacted yet before their companion became a corpse.

“Damn it!”

The two guarding the gate cursed and charged at Chen Han with machetes.

Chen Han raised his crossbow and fired.

With a bang, a purple shield popped up around the blond youth—he was clearly wearing a purple protective suit.

“Who are you people?”

Chen Han’s eyes narrowed.

A well-equipped group like this—why target him?

“Hand over all your resources, and I’ll spare your life!” the blond youth said arrogantly, swinging his machete.

In the next instant, purple light flared around him, and an LV5 appeared above his head.

“See that?

I’m fully geared in purple, and I’ve already reached Level 5.

You sure you want to fight me?”

The blond youth was incredibly smug, completely looking down on Chen Han.

After all, the apocalypse had only been here for two or three hours.

Someone reaching Level 5 this fast was insanely rare on Blue Star.

If not for his entire team backing him, it would’ve been impossible.

He knew Chen Han had good gear too, but alone?

Killing ten zombies would already be impressive.

Reaching Level 3 should’ve been his limit.

“Hmph, you seem confident.” Chen Han’s lips curled.

“So you’re refusing?” The blond waved his hand and shouted to his partner, “Hei, go on—train your courage.”

Hearing this, Hei visibly trembled, his sweaty hands gripping his blade.

“Brother Blond… I-I’ve never killed anyone before!”

It’s the apocalypse—if you don’t dare kill, how will you survive?!”

Blond scolded him angrily.

Hei gritted his teeth, made up his mind, and charged at Chen Han with his machete.

Chen Han walked forward calmly, not taking Hei seriously.

As the machete fell, Chen Han tilted his body slightly, dodging easily.

Then, with a twist of his wrist, the Tang blade slashed a long opening across Hei’s protective suit.

Hei felt a sharp pain in his abdomen.

Looking down, he saw a thirty-centimeter wound.

“Ahhh!”

Hei’s pupils shrank—from shock to fear, then to despair.

“Be a better person in your next life.” Chen Han brushed past him cleanly.

By the time Blond reacted, Hei was already on the ground, and a loot box was floating above his body.

“H-How is that possible?!”

Blond panicked, retreating two steps involuntarily.

Hei was wearing purple gear—how could he be killed in one strike?

“Impossible!

Even I can’t do that—what level are you?!”

Watching Chen Han step closer and closer, Blond’s face twisted in fear.

He finally realized he had kicked an iron wall.

This man before him was absolutely not ordinary!

Indeed—someone who stockpiled tons of food and equipment, someone who spent billions in cash on the game—how could he be simple?

“Thud!”

Blond dropped to his knees instantly.

“Suit Boss, I was wrong!

I shouldn’t have messed with you!

Please spare me!”

“I’ll kowtow!

Please, don’t kill me!”

Just as arrogant as before, now just as pathetic.

Blond repeatedly kowtowed, completely losing his dignity.

“How did you know who I am?

Who sent you here?”

Hearing this, Blond froze for a moment.

“If I tell you… will you spare me?”

“I will.” Chen Han nodded.

He knew these were just small fry—the true mastermind was someone else.

The number of people who knew his ID and address didn’t even exceed ten.

Chen Han wanted to know whether the one targeting him was someone in his circle or another faction.

Hearing that Chen Han would spare him, Blond’s face lit up.

He hurried to speak.

“I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you, it was…”
