“Hand over the holy relic.”

The cold voice and the intense smell of blood pulled Asmodeus back from his memories.

He raised an eyebrow, opened his hand, and displayed a gray bead in his palm, softly saying, “Want it?”Full novel: Why Isn’t My Wife Accompanying Me to Hell? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Salavira’s expression changed slightly, and he quickly closed the distance between himself and Asmodeus, his fingers almost touching the edge of the bead—

But just then, Asmodeus, like teasing a cat, suddenly withdrew the bead and, under Salavira’s almost murderous gaze, swallowed the gray bead!

Almost instantly, the magic power around Asmodeus surged dozens of times, causing the entire castle to tremble and hum!

Salavira’s breath hitched, and without hesitation, he swung his dagger, aiming to take a life before the “holy relic” could fully merge with the demon! However, just as the bright dagger was about to slice through the demon’s neck, a sharper black long sword was summoned—

With a deafening “clang!!”, the sword and dagger clashed, sparking!

The friction of the sharp weapons produced a teeth-gritting sound.

Having failed to land a hit, Salavira could clearly feel that Asmodeus, after swallowing the “holy relic,” was much more troublesome than before.

His eyes turned fierce, and with a “tch,” he finally stopped holding back, unleashing his full magic power to attack the demon once more!

The collision of two terrifyingly powerful magic forces caused the entire castle to begin collapsing under the strain, and the remaining people inside fled in panic, with many being corroded into eerie white bones by the magic on the spot!

But neither of the two engrossed in battle paid any attention to these people.

After all, no one who entered this place was innocent.

“Salavira, it’s only today that I feel that not all of the lowly human race are annoying.”

In the midst of the fight, Asmodeus suddenly said something so abrupt that it made Salavira frown.

He sidestepped another sword strike from the opponent, the fragile fabric on his body inevitably torn further by the enveloping magic. In contrast, the demon seemed at ease, still having the mind to continue his inexplicable conversation.

“Today, a human told me that to make a slave obedient, you not only need to give them candy but also a whip!”

“Boom!!”

The surging magic power smashed a huge pit into the ground, and Salavira, unable to completely dodge the blow, felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder, spitting out blood with a “wah.”

He touched the wound with trembling fingers, silently assessing that his shoulder blade and ribs were likely broken.

The demon who devoured the “holy relic” had indeed become this powerful.

But even so, Salavira still gave the demon a fierce, provocative smile, mercilessly critiquing his earlier nonsensical words:

“What nonsense… Could it be that bead is poisonous and has poisoned your brain?”

“Nonsense? No.” The demon smiled smugly, looking at the injured Salavira with increasing satisfaction, “I think that human was absolutely right.”

As he spoke, he snapped his fingers, and several shadowy tentacles formed from the shadows beneath Salavira’s feet, waving and writhing, trying to completely bind him!

Salavira was startled, enduring the intense pain from his wound as he tried to dodge, but ultimately he was a step too slow—

The black tentacles grabbed his ankle, dragging him back, and then more sticky things wrapped around his thighs, waist, and even pulled his wrists behind his back, binding him tightly.

“Thud!” Salavira’s legs were forcefully pulled by the tentacles, forcing him to kneel on the ground.

He struggled, but the tentacles only tightened, the pain in his left shoulder making his vision go black, leaving him no time to realize how embarrassing his current state was.

Asmodeus slowly approached, crouching down to admire his handiwork.

The ruins, blood, and the injured person reminded Asmodeus of the first time he reunited with the person before him. The difference was, back then, Salavira was tortured to the brink of death by the church, whereas now…

Every scar on his body was carved by Asmodeus himself.

Realizing this made Asmodeus feel a thrill down his spine.

He reached out and lifted the chin of the beautiful prisoner before him: “Salavira, am I really too indulgent with you, as that human said?”

“…What?” Salavira’s wound still hurt like hell, and hearing such a strange statement suddenly made him want to lash out.

Indulgent?

Almost tormenting him to death counts as indulgent? He really wanted to crack open Asmodeus’s skull to see what kind of nonsense was inside.

But right now, he couldn’t move, and his anger had no outlet, so he could only glare fiercely at the demon.

And in response to this harmless glare, the demon merely smiled as if seeing a kitten baring its teeth at him.

“Salavira, you’ve long been my slave, haven’t you? A slave should obediently listen to their master.” Asmodeus said, his eyes flashing with a fiery light.

“Slave?”

Salavira’s eyes widened slightly, softly repeating the word that symbolized lowliness and subjugation, finally recalling the origin of their relationship.

He was somewhat surprised, why was the demon suddenly so fixated on such an obvious deception, such a blatant trick?

“Asmodeus, I am not your slave.”

Salavira looked directly into the demon’s blood-red eyes, casually breaking the already fragile subordinate relationship.

Then, he said viciously, “We are enemies, the most irreconcilable relationship in this world. If you truly consider me your slave, then one day, I will personally kill you!”

However, Asmodeus seemed not to understand, as Salavira began to speak, his gaze instantly turned sinister, as if he wanted to swallow the person whole! That way, this beautiful little creature would truly belong to him, never again disobedient or rebellious.

Moved by his master’s thoughts, the tentacles wrapped around Salavira tightened further, leaving deep marks on his limbs and waist.

Especially the thickest yet softest tentacle on his thigh, it was incredibly slippery… This soft restraint made Salavira cry out in pain, a sound that slipped from his lips, making one’s face flush.

After a long silence, Asmodeus finally spoke:

“That human was right, I shouldn’t give you candy, but a whip.”

With that, the tentacle around his left shoulder tightened suddenly, followed by the sound of bones cracking. Salavira almost fainted from the pain, his vision going black, but he gritted his teeth, not letting out a single groan of pain.

But this pain suddenly reminded him of something.

He had seen many extravagant and brutal nobles since childhood, and slaves were a symbol of their status and power. But that wasn’t important, what was important was that none of those slaves weren’t beautiful, all for…

The nobles’ indulgence.

Thinking of this, he finally understood something and suddenly laughed.

He raised his head, reading from the demon’s blood-red eyes a kind of emotion that perhaps even the demon himself hadn’t realized, a cruel, twisted emotion born from hatred—

Its name was desire.

“Asmodeus, you claim to hate humans, yet aren’t you just like those disgusting nobles?”

Salavira sneered, “I guess, turning me into your slave isn’t just about humiliating me or seeking revenge, is it?”

Saying this, he weakly caught his breath, then leaned closer to the demon’s ear, chuckling softly:

“Rather than killing me outright, you actually want to screw me to death in bed, don’t you?”

“!!” Asmodeus stiffened, as if struck by lightning, frozen in place, his eyes wide, staring at the smiling silver-haired youth before him.

He didn’t know how long he stayed like that, maybe a few seconds, maybe a few minutes, but that gap was enough for Salavira to seize the opportunity—

A “squelch—!” was heard.

It sounded like… the sound of a blade piercing flesh.

Asmodeus belatedly realized.

Then, the intense pain in his abdomen finally jolted his sluggish nerves. He slowly lowered his head, seeing that Salavira’s silver dagger had somehow been summoned and had already pierced through his abdomen!

The flow of magic stalled for a moment, and Salavira immediately took advantage of this gap, forcefully breaking free from the tentacles’ control, gripping the blood-stained dagger, intending to cut out the gray bead from the demon’s abdomen.

But before he could act, his wrist was suddenly gripped tightly by a hand, the force almost breaking his wrist!

Salavira’s expression changed, immediately pulling his hand back, trying to escape the other’s grasp, but the force on his wrist was contrary, irresistible—

“Squish—!!”

Asmodeus actually held his hand, stabbing deeper into his own abdomen, even the hilt of the dagger completely embedded in the flesh!

Then, a low laugh echoed in Salavira’s ear.

The laughter was initially suppressed, but gradually, it became more and more wild, more and more unrestrained. Salavira looked up, meeting the other’s eyes filled with obsession and madness.

Madman…

He’s simply a madman!

Salavira was instinctively startled by the scorching gaze, immediately trying to pull his hand from the person’s abdomen, but was first guided to touch the gray bead that had been swallowed earlier.

He paused slightly.

Asmodeus leaned close to his ear, his breath carrying the sweet scent of blood, “Salavira, your suggestion is very good.”

He chuckled twice, blood once again spilling from the corner of his mouth, but the madness in his eyes was even more scorching—

“Wait for me to come back.”

With that, this avatar, like the previous one, completely dissolved into light and disappeared.

Salavira sat on the ground, feeling the blood in his body surging wildly. In his hand was a blood-stained round bead, but the dagger forged from his soul had also disappeared with the demon.

The holy relic was in hand, yet a heavy unease gradually rose in Salavira’s heart.

What did Asmodeus intend to do with that dagger?

He racked his brain, but couldn’t figure it out.

Unfortunately, the current Salavira, having gone through a reincarnation, had lost too many memories of his past life.

What he didn’t know was that he, the “Holy Son,” had nothing to do with the Holy Light God Iliga, and just like he could use the demon’s magic, the power from his soul’s origin could also be used by the demon.

But these things, he would only have time to regret when, not long from now, he was imprisoned as a plaything by the fully unsealed demon.
