Under the glaring light, Camellya lay sprawled on the soft bed, her face still buried in the blanket.

The vines behind her head swayed helplessly.

In her long life whether in the village where she had struggled to survive before being rescued by Rover, or after joining the Black Shores she had never encountered such an absurd and humiliating situation!Full novel: Wuthering Waves: I Don’t Really Want to Be the Villain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Well now, this… Miss Camellya?”

That somewhat teasing, annoying voice came from above.

Camellya suddenly raised her head, flinging the hair and cotton from her face.

Her red pupils glared angrily at Noah, who was standing by the bed holding a thick book.

The light outlined his clear silhouette.

There was not the slightest trace of sleepiness or panic on that face.

It was clearly the composure of someone who had expected this all along even with a hint of watching a good show?

Noah paused.

His expression turned serious and pained, with a touch of exaggerated vigilance.

“This classmate, although I know that I might, probably, perhaps have just a tiny bit of handsomeness enough to make certain young ladies with improper intentions lose control…”

“But men and women should maintain proper distance, classmate!

We’ve only met for the first time, right?

You sneaking into a male dormitory in the middle of the night and heading straight for the bed… isn’t that a bit too thuggish?”

“???”

Camellya’s brain went blank for an instant.

Th-Thuggish?

Improper intentions?

Lose control?

Toward him?!

A rush of hot blood surged straight to the top of her head.

Shame, anger, and fury instantly burned away the last shred of her rationality.

“Hah?!”

She almost screamed as she sprang up from the bed, completely disregarding her image.

Pointing at Noah’s nose, she was so angry that her twin-tails nearly stood on end.

“Who has improper intentions toward you?!

Who lost control?!

Who do you think you are?!”

“A guy who popped out of nowhere and used sweet words to worm his way to the leader’s side!

Do I, Camellya, even need to spare you an extra glance?!”

The more she spoke, the angrier she became.

Her chest heaved violently.

All the pent-up frustration of the past few days, the grievance of her expectations being dashed, and the humiliation of falling just now all of it erupted like a machine-gun burst of fury:

“I’ll tell you!

My name is Camellya!

I’m a senior Bloom Bearer in the Black Shores Personnel Department!

I’m Rover’s closest guard!

I’ve followed her for many, many years!”

Following her instructions, I infiltrated ahead of time so much earlier and arranged everything, just waiting to reunite with her…”

“And what happened?!

Rover has been here for more than a day already!

She hasn’t come to find me even once!”

Camellya’s eyes looked as if they were about to spit fire.

She glared fixedly at Noah, as though he were the root cause of everything.

“It’s all because of you!

It must be because you, this suddenly appearing guy, are clinging to the leader that she forgot about me!

It’s all your fault!”

After roaring everything out in one breath, her fair cheeks flushed crimson from excitement and anger.

The camellia vines behind her head also unconsciously tightened and trembled along with her emotions.

The flower buds at their tips seemed to turn even more vividly red.

Noah: “…”

He listened to Camellya’s head-on, logic-defying yet emotionally sincere accusation.

His expression shifted from feigned seriousness to surprise, and finally to an indescribable speechlessness.

Alright.

Case closed.

It really was because of this.

To be honest, he did have some thoughts about Rover, that was true.

But being directly slapped with the hat of “causing her master and servant to be unable to meet” still felt a bit unfair.

Especially Camellya’s righteous attitude as if Rover should belong to her alone…

Sorry about that, Miss Camellya.

Noah silently spread his hands in his heart.

Although in the game you really were quite cute and one of my wives, the situation is different now.

You want to compete with me for Rover?

Then I’m sorry, but I’m not particularly talented at anything except being quite protective of what’s mine.

Thinking this, as he looked at Camellya’s puffed-up, toy-snatched-away appearance, the original intention of simply completing the mission and giving her a lesson suddenly mixed with a trace of mischievous delight.

“Oh so that’s how it is.”

Noah deliberately drew out his tone, putting on a sudden-realization expression as he nodded.

He weighed the thick, heavy book in his hand.

His gaze swept over Camellya’s perky hips, and the corner of his mouth curved into a wicked smile.

“So, Camellya, you went to all this trouble sneaking into the male dormitory at night because you were jealous?”

“Because your leader didn’t come to find you immediately, you decided it was this wild man’s fault and came running over to teach me a lesson?”

“W-Who’s jealous?!”

Camellya reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

Her face turned even redder, but her eyes clearly showed some evasion.

“I just… I just came to warn you!

Stay away from the leader!

She’s not someone a guy of unknown origin like you can covet!”

“Warn me, huh…” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Noah seemed to ponder for a moment, then suddenly took a step forward.

Camellya instinctively tried to retreat, but standing in front of the bed, there was nowhere to go.

In the next instant, Noah suddenly made his move.

He decisively used his Spectro Resonance power.

In his eyes, Camellya’s movements instantly became extremely slow.

Immediately afterward, he swiftly and accurately grabbed a corner of the blanket and skillfully wrapped it around Camellya’s arm that was trying to swing and one of her unruly vines.

Taking advantage of her momentary panic, he pressed her back down onto the bed in a slightly awkward position.

Then, he immediately used his body weight to suppress her struggling mainly to prevent her from moving around wildly or drawing her knife to chop someone.

“What are you doing?!

Let me go!”

Camellya was both shocked and furious.

She twisted desperately, but her posture was awkward and she could not exert strength.

Noah’s pressure was too tricky.

For a moment, she actually could not break free.

What made her even more ashamed and angry was that this position… was simply too humiliating!

“Since it’s a warning, you should at least let me know the consequences of ignoring the warning, right?”

Noah’s voice came from above her head, carrying a smile.

But the movements of his hands were unambiguous.

He raised the thick book high.

“However, before you teach me a lesson, I think that for this thuggish behavior of sneaking into a male room in the middle of the night with improper intentions, as the victim, I also have the right to engage in a bit of legitimate self-defense.”

“For example… helping you remember this lesson.”

As he finished speaking, under Camellya’s suddenly widened eyes filled with shock, shame, and fury, Noah brought the book down.

“Smack!”

“Smack!”

“Smack!”

Three strikes not too light, not too heavy landed solidly on Camellya’s perky hips over her uniform skirt.

The sounds were crisp and especially clear in the quiet dormitory.

Time seemed to freeze.

Camellya’s entire body went rigid.

She even forgot to struggle.

Her face first drained of all color, then in an instant flushed red from the base of her neck all the way to the tips of her ears.

It even felt as if heat was rising from the top of her head.

He… he actually… actually dared to hit her there?!

Rover had never… never treated her like this!!!

“Ah !!!

I’ll kill you!!!”
